During a press conference held in Jacksonville, FL moments ago, Angela Corey, the special prosecutor appointed to the Trayvon Martin case announced that George Zimmerman will be charged with second-degree murder.
George Zimmerman, who turned himself in earlier today, is in police custody in an undisclosed location for his own safety.
Ms. Corey says the decision to charge Mr. Zimmerman was arrived at last week after reviewing all of the factual and physical evidence.
Although Mr. Zimmerman is currently being held without bond, a judge will soon determine if this decision will be reversed.
