Proud Mary star Taraji P. Henson served up a little "Cookie" magic upon arriving at tonight's 90th Annual Academy Awards at Hollywood & Highland Center in L.A. She's set to present at tonight's big show.

T served up a lot of leg and plenty of skin in a custom, high slit cold-shoulder Vera Wang gown accessorized with jewels by Roberto Coin.  She looks amazing, and clearly feels amazing too:

While "Empire" returns March 28th, she's pulling double duty again and filming the upcoming flick What Men Want (a twist on Mel Gibson's What Women Want).

She told fellow actress Wendy McLendon-Covey on ABC's red carpet show that she's not sure she actually wants to know what men think:

“I don’t know. Thank God it’s a fictional story, so I can let go. Suspension of belief, ya know?”

The 42-year-old was giving us all types of Black Panther T’Challa realness on the carpet. By the way, the black superhero film is stillDOMINATING the box office, raking in over $700 million globally in the first two weeks.

This couture Givenchy blazer look is totally something T’Challa would have worn in Wakanda?

On the carpet, he caught up with ABC's Michael Strahan where he talked about how he's dealing with the pressure after Black Panther's massive success.

“I don’t feel pressure right now," Chadwick said. "I’m just having a lot of fun. I love seeing everyone dressed up and saluting. It hasn’t stopped yet.”

He also dished on thanking Denzel Washington for paying his way to go to the University of Oxford.

“It was a fun conversation. The first thing he said was, 'You owe me money!' It was so deep I can’t even go into right now about what happened and what’s about to happen. Only things he can say.”

There’s no denying Get Out was the biggest movie of 2017. It's won countless awards all season. .

Will Daniel Kaluuya bring home the Best Actor Award for his role in Get Out? We’re keeping our fingers crossed. But he just made sure folks would remember his name after the hoopla dies down.

As he made his way down the carpet, an interviewer said to him,“Get Out ticks a lot of boxes in a way..."

He had to stop them and let them know what’s really good.

"Articulating the black experience isn’t ticking a box. We're real people with real experiences,” Daniel responded.

BOOM! No lies were told.

While our British bae, who currently also stars in Black Panther, chatted with Michael Strahan during ABC's red carpet show, the network surprised him with a live feed from an Oscar viewing party going down in London in his honor.  Sweet!

Get Out is up for Best Picture tonight.  Get Out director Jordan Peele is in the running for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay, and co-star LaKeith Stanfield offered up some love to his homie on the carpet (above).

While Kobe Bryant just recently became the first Oscar nominated NBA basketball player, his animated short film Dear Basketball just took home the Oscar! So you can added first professional basketball Oscar winner as well.

The newly retired Laker, who hit the carpet with wife Vanessa Bryant earlier tonight, turned his essay into an animated short film alongside Glen Keane, and now their work has won the Academy Award for Best Short Film (Animated).

Oscar winning actress Viola Davis returned to the 2018 Academy Awards after her epic win last year. And this year, the “How To Get Away With Murder” actress is a presenter and had some fun with her red carpet fashion.

The 52-year-old stood out in a pink gown custom designed for her by Michael Kors to present the Best Supporting Actor award to actor Sam Rockwell. She won the Best Supporting Actress award last year for her role in Fences.

As expected, her biggest cheerleader was on her arm: her husband/producer Julius Tennon.

While he didn't win his Best Director category, we're holding out hope for that Best Picture epicness.

Mary J. Blige was the perfect vision when she stepped onto the red carpet at the 2018 Academy Awards at the Hollywood & Highland Center in LA.

The Mudbound actress floated on the carpet in a custom Atelier Versace gown and Roger Vivier clutch, styled by Law Roach. Ugh. We love everything about this look.

The Queen of Hip Hop Soul made history as the only person who has been nominated in the Best Supporting Actress and Best Original Song categories in the same year. Both nominations stem from her role in Netflix's Mudbound, which makes her a history maker for being the first person to be nominated in a song and acting category in the same year.

Mary was also tapped to hit the stage to perform the Mudbound track, "Mighty River."

Despite not winning either Oscar, she's still going to be partying it up in style after the awards show. Beyonce and Jay Z are throwing Mary her own Oscars after party. Check it:

Singer Miguel was invited to Hollywood’s biggest night to share his talents with the masses inside the Hollywood & Highland Center during the 90th annual Academy Awards.

The soulful singer had his fiancée Nazanin Mandi on his arm who was there to support her man and his performance.

Well, aren't they cute.

Inside, the Sky Walker singer, who's gearing up to go out on tour, hit the stage alongside Gael García Bernal and Natalia LaFourcade to perform Coco's standout track, "Remember Me." It was a winning night for the Disney-Pixar film as "Remember Me" won Best Original song for songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.

Before the win, Miguel --who is of Mexican descent -- chopped it up with E! News' Ryan Seacrest about how excited he was to represent for "all the Latinos."

"For a movie like this, knowing that it's representing the Latin population, and being of Mexican descent, it's incredibly meaningful, man," Miguel said. "So yes, I do know how much it means and I want to represent for all the Latinos out there. I really, really do. I'm honored. I'm honored."

Joke's on Ryan Seacrest!  Or is it?  Taraji P. Henson's possibly shade-filled interaction with the E! host on last night's Oscars red carpet has folks sipping their tea...

Before the "Empire" hottie stepped onto the Academy Awards stage to introduce her good friend Mary J. Blige's Best Original Song performance, she talked to Ryan Seacrest about it all.

Ryan is currently embroiled in a bit of a scandal with Hollywood not feeling the fact he still hosted the red carpet - amidst the #MeToo movement - despite being accused of sexual assault by his former assistant. 

When Ryan asked Taraji to comment on Mary's two Oscar nominations, here's how that went:

It's interesting. While many believe this was outright black-girl-style shade toward Ryan with the stroke of the chin and that "ya know?" remark, others believe she was subtly letting him know she SUPPORTS him. As if that "the universe has a way of taking care of good people" line was referencing him as the good person.

Speaking of weird, his appearance during the 2018 Academy Awards was weird, and he said so too. Host Jimmy Kimmel opened up telling the actors to keep their acceptance speeches short. And if they didn’t, Lakeith will storm the stage dressed up as his Get Out character, yelling, “GET OUT!”

He even popped out on stage to "demonstrate."

Also, Jimmy offered the person with the shortest speech an $18,000 jet ski.

Back on the carpet...

Rapper Common was back at the Oscars as he was in the running for another golden statue. "The Chi" actor got it dapper in a black tailored Armani suit. It was simpley, yet perfect for the occasion.

Not only was he nominated for an award, Common also was tapped to perform. He hit the stage alongside Andra Day to perform their duet “Stand Up For Something,” which was nominated for Best Original Song for the 2017 film Marshall. Before the performance, he snapped it up with Andra and songwriter Diane Warren (who co-wrote "Stand Up For Something").

Director John Singleton and "Snowfall" actor Damson Idris brought the Wakanda vibes on the carpet.

Director Jordan Peele won the Best Original Screenplay Oscar for Get Out, making history as the first black person to win in that category and only the fourth nominated after John Singleton, Spike Lee and Suzanne de Passe. Singleton was nominated for Best Original Play and Best Director in 1992 for his classic film, Boyz N The Hood.

Winston made his way to the Oscars as Lupita’s plus one, styling in an ETRO suit Tod’s shoes and a Cartier watch. The two first met at Yale and have been friends ever since.

The Oscar winner rocked a floral off-the-shoulder Christian Siriano dress that was custom designed just for her...WITH pockets.  Showing off those tattoos and everything. We see you Whoop!

Like we said, Whoopi, who won Best Supporting Actress in 1991, chose comfort over style and decided she would wear a pair of combat boots with her dress. YES, combat boots with her ball gown. Ha! Only Whoppi. She also wore a red pin over her heart to help raise awareness for HIV.

Rozay's home!  Deets on the rapper being released from the hospital inside...

After spending the weekend in not one, but two hospitals in the Miami area after he was found unresponsive in his home Thursday, Rick Ross is back home.

The MMG honcho was admitted to the ICU and things looked "dire" according to reports.  So dire that one of his baby's mother and his team rolled up to Memorial Regional Hospital in south Florida in a panic, running inside with the doors to the Rolls Royce still wide open.

Ricky was reportedly hooked up to a ECMO breathing machine for his heart and lungs, but his people said he was NOT on life support as previously reported.

The "Aston Martin Music" rapper was, according to the police report, found at home early Thursday morning "slobbing out the mouth" and had lost control of his bowels.

He's now back home and being cared for there.  The incident has now been linked to a heart-related issue.

Marhershala Ali gushed over his baby girl who was born right before the Oscars last year, Danny Glover was full of energy while chatting about his projects and the #METOO movement, and Michael Strahan talked to everyone on the red carpet before the ceremony. Get it all inside…

Right around this time last year, Mahershala Ali was on the TOP of the world.

Just two days before the 2017 Academy Awards, the Moonlight actor and his wife Amatus Sami-Karim (below) welcomed their first child together, a baby girl they named Bari Najma Ali. Days later, the 44-year-old new dad won his first Oscar in the Best Supporting Actor category for his performance in Moonlight. Can you imagine having two HUGE accomplishments happen within the same week of one another?!

Ali made his return to the awards show to present the award for Best Supporting Actress. On the carpet, the actor gushed over how fatherhood has been treating him.

“It’s good. It’s been amazing,” he said. “She wears me out and puts me in my place in her own way, but I absolutely love her and that’s my heart. She’s absolutely grounding and it’s just beautiful,” he added.

The Hollywood veteran was extremely excited while talking about the Oscar nominated documentary, “Strong Island,” which he executive produced.

The documentary, directed by trans man Yance Ford and produced by Joslyn Barnes, chronicles the arc of a family across history, geography and tragedy - from the racial segregation of the Jim Crow South to the promise of New York City; from the presumed safety of middle class suburbs, to the maelstrom of an unexpected, violent death. It is the story of the Ford family: Barbara Dunmore, William Ford and their three children and how their lives were shaped by the enduring shadow of race in America.

Danny and Yance dished on why the documentary was so important as well as the #METOO and #TimesUp movements.

In one of the rarest occasions, controversial radio host Charlamagne Tha God made a semi-public appearance with his wife, who he claims hates the public eye. Looks like he's no longer shying away from showcasing that #blacklove in these streets. Check the pic inside...

Well aren't they cute.  Charlamagne and his beautiful wife were spotted out in NYC late Saturday night.

The controversial Breakfast Club host made a very rare public outing with his fitness instructor wife of 4 years, Jessica Gadsen. He normally keeps his personal life extremely behind the scenes, and the two have only had a couple of pics together that have ever managed to hit the net.

But here we are.

The couple, who are parents to two daughters, seem to have skipped out on all the Oscars parties across the country in L.A. and stayed close to home this past weekend.

Folks have been going in on him lately about his treatment of black women who come on as guests of his show, all while he has a black wife and two black daughters at home.  He maintain he's simply doing his job and asking questions.

We will say, we like seeing Charlamagne on his husband steez.

Did all that alleged Herpes-spreading grossness ruin their marriage?  Usher& wife Grace Miguel confirm they have split after 10 years together.  We've got the deets inside...

After two years of marriage and 10 years of a relationship, 36-year-old singer Usher and his 48-year-old wife Grace are calling it quits!

The couple issued a joint statement to the media this afternoon saying the decision to separate was "mutual":

“After much thought and consideration we have mutually decided to separate as a couple.  We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phases of our lives. The enormous amount of love and respect that we have for each other will only increase as we move forward.”

Over the past year year, Usher was accused by multiple women (and at least one man) of having unprotected sex with them while knowingly having the Herpes disease.  They claim he never told them, and at least one filed a lawsuit to collect $20M in coint (no typo) due to the emotional distress of it all.

As of last September, Grace appeared to be sticking by him.  It seems things have changed.  Reports state the two actually separated a couple of months ago.

The split may come as a shocker to most, but not everyone.  Our sources tell us this is Grace's third marriage, and interestingly, she is not the biggest fan of marriage. 

A lack of love for nuptials definitely won't get you through dealing with an allegedly infected penis....

Grace, who has two grown kids from a previous relationship (above) and who was also stepmom to Usher and Tameka Foster's sons Naviyd& Cinco, has already removed pics with Usher from her social media.

Our faves trekked it from the 90th annual Oscars red carpet to Vanity Fair’s annual Oscar afterparty in Beverly Hills. The star-studded event featured a fancy menu of food, including slow poached dover sole, grilled beef calotte, ricotta and crème fraiche gnudi. Before dinner, guests snacked on buttermilk fried chicken, corn dogs with honey mustard and creamsicle truffle.

They also brought back the In-N-Out kiosk from last year too. Ha!

Black Panther actress Lupita Nyong’o changed up her look from earlier, rocking a black beaded plunging neckline Armani Privé gown accessorized with Forevermark jewels.

And for an extra dose of sass...

Lupita's Black Panther co-star Danai Gurira also changed from her red carpet look into an ivory wool crepe gown designed by Gabriela Hearst.

Black Love made its way on the carpet with lovebirds Ciara and Russell Wilson making an appearance. CiCi went for a super dramatic look making her way down the carpet in a teal tiered Alexandre Vauthier gown with a train. Are we feelin' it?

Kerry Washington also wore an ensemble by Alexandre Vauthier. We’re liking the leather'd look on the “Scandal” star. It's edgy.

Tiffany Haddish was busy being TIFFANY on the carpet when she ran into Best Actress winner Frances McDormand.

She chose a dress that compliments her personality, bold and fun.

The Girls Trip breakout star wore a vibrant one-shouldered Brandon Maxwell dress that featured a slit. No repeats this time.

By the way, she'll be starring opposite Tracy Morgan in the new comedy series "The Last O.G.," set to premiere April 3rd at 10:30pm EST on TBS.

While she may not have taken home any golden statues, Mary J. Blige was SHINING like a golden goddess for the afterparty scene. She wore a custom sheer and gold Vera Wang dress paired with Giuseppe Zanotti heels and Forevermark jewels. Flawless.

We see Halle Berry decided to play around with some new wiggery as she struck a pose on the carpet in a printed Zuhair Murad mini dress paired with Loriblu sandals.

Zendaya, who’s currently doing voice over for an animated movie titled Smallfoot, brought grace and elegance on the carpet in a custom Michael Kors gown, Jimmy Choos heels and Bulgari jewels, topping her look off with a top bun. She was styled by her friend/stylist Law Roach. He also styled Mary for her big Oscar night.

The King of Parties was in the mix. Diddy switched from being host to partygoer for the night.

Two of our TV obsession creators!  "Atlanta" creator/star Donald Glover (dapper in Gucci) and "The Chi" creator Lena Waithe hit the carpet together. Can y'all imagine what these two would come up with if they were to collaborate on a show?

Another friend duo hit the carpet. DOPE actor Shameik Moore and "Empire" singer/actress Serayah trekked the carpet together. Previously, Serayah said she and Shameik are childhood friends, but we wouldn't be mad if they decided to be something more. They make a cute couple.

Twinsies! It was the usual mother-daughter night at the Oscars with Lisa Bonet and her daughter Zoe Kravitz. Zoe had some fun with her look, rocking a feathery concoction by YSL.

Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman made sure to represent Wakanda while on the carpet.

FABULOUS! How is it that actress Regina Hall ages backwards?! Like, it's so unfair. She looked amazing in Tadashi Shoji gown that featured a plunging neckline.

After the party, we spotted pics of Chadwick and Regina leaving the Vanity Fair party last night. Chad def brought his date to the Oscars last night, who’s been by his side for over a year now out and about, but, ya never know...

"black-ish" starlet Tracee Ellis Ross was a Balmain baddie for the afterparty festivities.

Get Out star Betty Gabriel needs to keep her stylist on speed dial because they had her looking like a million bucks during her Oscars debut. Ava DuVernay always keeps it elegant at events and last night was no different. She made her way to the party scene in this sparkly Armani Prive gown. Her new movie A Wrinkle In Time hits theaters THIS Friday.

TV producer Shonda Rhimes is still looking fine and fit! 

Director/Producer/Writer Tyler Perry, rapper Wiz Khalifa, and comedian Marlon Wayans stepped out to represent for the men. They looked rather suave on the carpet.

After hitting the stage alongside Common, singer Andra Day made her way on the carpet and she wasn't rolling around on the floor this time.

Come through goddess! Victoria Secret's model Jasmine Tookes worked this metallic one-shoulder flowy Jean Louis Sabaji gown paired with Loriblu gold leather sandals. Gorge.

EMMY winner RuPaul --who definitely stood out on the carpet in a printed suit -- and CNN's Don Lemon came out to party.

Your favorite movie dad Dennis Haysbert was also on the scene.

The biggest night in Hollywood wasn’t the biggest night in television ratings. The ratings for the Oscars are at an all-time low. Get those deets, plus see Mary J. Blige, Common and Andra Day hit the stage. Then, see Common’s girlfriend (?) Angela Rye take up for him on CNN inside…

ABC execs are likely NOT happy after receiving this year’s ratings for the prestigious Academy Awards ceremony.

According to reports, this year’s Oscars suffered the LOWEST television viewing rating in history, falling 19% from last year. A total 26.5 million people tuned in trailing far behind last year’s number, where 32.9 million people tuned in. Yikes.

So since many of you missed the show, we’ve rounded up a few performances…

“Empire” actress Taraji P. Henson hit the stage to introduce her "sister" Mary J. Blige before her performance, pointing out that she’s the first person to be an Oscar nominee for both Original Song and Actress in a Supporting Role in the same year. Woot!

Draped in a beautiful Vera Wang gown, the Mudbound actress took center stage to perform “Mighty River,” which was nominated for an award. Mary co-wrote the gospel-like track with Raphael Saadiq and Taura Stinson for the gut wrenching film.

The Queen of Hip Hop Soul offered up yet another performance you can feel in your soul as she dug deep inside to perform the number. Check it below:

Also hitting the stage...

Rapper Common was back at the Oscars in the running for another golden statue. He hit the stage alongside Andra Day to perform their duet “Stand Up For Something,” which was nominated for Best Original Song for the 2017 film Marshall.

During the performance, "The Chi" actor/producer took the opportunity to publicly call out the NRA (National Rifle Association) and the Trump administration during his rap intro to kick off the track.

″On Oscar night, this is the dream we tell, a land where dreamers live and freedom dwells,” Common rapped. “We put up monuments for the feminists. Tell the NRA they in God’s way. And to the people of Parkland, we say ase,” he continued. [“Ase” is a West African philosophical concept through which the Yoruba of Nigeria conceive the power to make things happen and produce change.]

“Sentiments of love for the people from Africa, Haiti to Puerto Rico," he concluded.

Common and Andra invited 10 activists to join them on stage while they performed the empowerment anthem, including trans activist Janet Mock, Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors, Nicole Hockley, the mother of a 6-year-old Sandy Hook school shooting victim and a prominent gun violence activist, Tarana Burke, the founder of the #MeToo movement/civil rights activist, who works to fight racial injustice and several more.

Tiffany Haddish's glow up and comedy style have some folks calling her embarrassing and annoying, but Tiff's got those nice-nasty clapbacks on deck.  See it all inside...

Sunday night at the Oscars, Tiffany Haddish was probably the most interesting part f all the red carpet hoopla.  After she hopped a whole rope to get to Meryl Streep while floating around in a gown fit for an Eritrean queen, she dished that she had met Brad Pitt in an elevator and they made a sex pact.

The actress/comedian chopped it up with Kelly Ripa backstage during the show and revealed Brad told her if they're both still single in a year, they could get it poppin'. 

Oh?!

Yes, Tiff is loud and cray, but she is a comedian.  It seems people forget that and claim to suffer from second hand embarrassment calling her ghetto and the like.  So, she responded on Twitter about the story going viral:

As for her look for her first Oscars, we've seen A LOT of prideful, inspired-by-African-countries looks on red carpts these days.  And we love damn near all of them.  This one, though, wasn't our fave.

In case you were wondering, Tiff says the look was a salute to her Eritrean father who recently passed away.  She promised him she would honor him if she ever made it to the Oscars one day.

“Luke Cage” fans get excited! Netflix has finally answered our binge watching prayers.

Marvel’s “Luke Cage” is back and the black superhero is ready to protect the streets of Harlem. The second season will be available on June 22nd for our binge watching pleasure. Just three more months and it's on! 

Here’s what Luke Cage (played by the sexy Mike Colter) will be up to in the 2nd season:

After clearing his name, Luke Cage has become a celebrity on the streets of Harlem with a reputation as bulletproof as his skin. Speaking of superhero series...

Laz Alonso is stepping into the superhero world.

He just inked a gig with Amazon’s straight-to-series drama titled, “The Boys,” based on the comic book by Garth Ennis (Preacher) & Darick Robertson.

Below is a synopsis:

The Boys is set in a world where superheroes embrace the darker side of their massive celebrity and fame. It revolves around a group of vigilantes known informally as “the boys,” who set out to take down corrupt superheroes with no more than blue-collar grit and a willingness to fight dirty.

Laz is set to play Mother’s Milk, second in command of the Boys. He’s is a great detective, highly intelligent and observant and an intuitive investigator.

Supernatural creator Eric Kripke, Preacher‘sEvan Goldberg and Seth Rogen and Sony Pictures TV are behind the series.

No word yet on when it will premiere.

In movie news...

Tiffany Haddish is the hottest actress in the game right now and Tyler Perry just nabbed her for one of his new projects.

According to Deadline, the Girls Trip star has joined the cast of Tyler’s upcoming film The List, starring opposite Tika Sumpter and Omari Hardwick.

Here’s a quick plots summary about the film:

When her wild sister (Haddish) gets released from prison and re-enters her life, Danica (Sumpter) is forced to accept that she may be getting “catfished” by an online boyfriend whom she has never met in person.

The flick is written, directed and produced by Tyler under the Paramount Players label, and it already has a release date set for November 2, 2018.
