The Chanel ambassador chops it up with the magazine about wanting to be called an artisan rather than an activist, creating herself verses finding herself and what it means to be the face of Chanel as a young African-American woman. She said,
“Being a young African-American woman with dreads, it blows my mind that I’m a Chanel ambassador. Like, how am I a Chanel ambassador? It is so beautiful. I’m coming into a new part of my life that is completely unknown, and I’m jumping right in. All I can do from here is continue to shift paradigms and continue to push the envelope further and further. But I am doing it every day just by being myself.”
With as much confidence and self-awareness she exudes now, Willow does admit there was a time she felt less empowered.
“After ‘Whip My Hair’ and all the publicity, after going on tour in the U.K., after saying no to the Annie film, all of this crap was going on in my life, and I had to sit down and say, ‘Who are you?,” said Willow “On a real note. Are you this or this?’” She grasps the table’s salt and pepper shakers, one in each hand, for comparison’s sake. “During that time of figuring it out, I was lost and super insecure. But then I stopped trying to find myself in these other inanimate objects, people, and ideas. I realized it isn’t about finding yourself—it’s about creating yourself.”

Erykah Badu opened up a can of worms on Twitter last night when she started tweeting about how female high school students should dress.
In a series of tweets, the soulful songstress said she agreed with an article that reported a school in New Zealand forced female students to wear skirt pass the knee as to not distract the male teachers and students. She said she's aware that we're living in a sex-driven society and that it’s natural for a man to become aroused when he sees an attractive young lady in a revealing skirt.
On the flip side, she said she believes women (her daughters included) should be allowed to wear whatever they want, but to be aware of their differences from men.

Erykah Badu made a surprise visit at Malcolm X Shabazz High School in Newark, N.J. for a lunch of a lifetime.
The “Bag Lady” singer dropped in on the high schoolers during lunch where she gave an impromptu performance. Ms. Badu walked in and randomly walked up to students greeting them. They they started playing music. Erykah danced around on tables and took bites of food from some of the students’ lunches as she sang her 1997 single “On & On”.

The actress-singer will be hosting a new talk show with event planner David Tutera, this according to their now deleted social media posts.
Oddly, both Brandy and David deleted the posts. Our sources tell us the talk show test run, titled "Brandy x David," is definitely a go and the two may have jumped the gun a little early with the announcement.

"'BRANDY x DAVID,' a fun new daytime talk show pilot for FOX!
Starring Grammy Award Winner and comedy television star Brandy Norwood and TV personality, author, designer, and premiere celebrity event and wedding planner, David Tutera. "BRANDY x DAVID" are real, unfiltered and ready to shake things up."
We're not sure how this is going to work exactly, but there's a pretty good chance the show will be officially unveiled with details at the upcoming FOX UPFRONTS going down soon in NYC.

50 Cent has come up with a plan to satisfy some of the creditors in his bankruptcy case. Right after he unveiled the plan, Fif went to celebrate at the strip club. Of course. More inside…..

After filing bankruptcy last July, the “Power” star and producer is ready to satisfy some of the creditors in his bankruptcy case. He and his team have come up with a 5-year plan where he’ll spread out $23 million to his many creditors.
According to TMZ, he plans to pay-out his top three creditors -- $17.3 million to headphone company Sleek Audio, $4.9 million to Sun Trust Bank and a cool $6 million to Rick Ross’ baby mother Lastonia Leviston. Lastonia was actually awarded $7 million in the sex tape case, but she settled for $6 million last month.
In addition to shelling out all of that money, Fif also plans to liquidate some of his assets to cover the debts. We’re sure his creditors will be happy to hear this, but a judge still has to approve the plan.

The editors of Sports Illustrated teamed up with sports and fashion experts to select the world's 50 most stylish athletes. And they gave a few of the fashionable athletes their own SI cover.
Coming in at the No. 1 spot, New York Giants baller Victor Cruz takes the crown as the most stylish baller this year. And it’s no surprise. When he’s not making plays on the gridiron, Victor is a regular at almost every Fashion Week event. He was recently tapped as an ambassador for New York Fashion Week: Men’s.
The wide receiver is upping his standing in the fashion industry as he models for fashion houses like Givenchy and sports apparel brand Nike. He also has the title “designer” under his belt as he has been working on his own clothing line and he recently released a collection with Denim Brand 3x1.
So what does fashion mean to Victor?
“Fashion is what you make of it,” said Victor. “If you’re comfortable in it and you own it, there’s no box you can put it in. That’s the beauty of fashion. Football gave me a platform to show the world how I dress. Even on the field, I make sure I’m always cleaned up, my jersey’s never un-tucked, my socks are always pulled up and my spikes always look well kept, neat and new. I make sure the way I look on the field is the same way I look off the field as well. I think my clothes show that I pay attention to detail, take time to get dressed and think about outfits well in advance, which is all very true. And there’s a little bit of pressure. You want to go out there and step it up to make sure you look as good as the Cam Newtons and Odell Beckhams of the world because they go out there and they have custom pieces every week. I haven’t been out there in a little bit, so this year I have to bring it.”

NBA superstar and fashion innovator Russell Westbrook is also really into fashion as well. The OKC Thunder baller has created several different collections with luxury brand retailer Barneys New York and he’s the creative force behind True Religion’s Spring 2015 campaign.
Not only that, Russell always takes risks showing off his fashion flair with his pre-and-post game outfits.
For his cover shot, the NBA guard rocks a cheetah print 3.1 Phillip Lim jacket, a John Elliott shirt, True Religion jeans (from his collection) and Bottega Veneta shoes.
“A lot of people may like to wear nice clothes, but some do not really understand where fashion comes from,” said Russell. “I took the time to do my research and learn about the fashion world before I was able to get in to it. I had the pleasure of sitting down with Anna Wintour and Andre Leon Talley to pick their brains about the origins of fashion and how it all began. Now, I have my own brand with Barney’s and True Religion. I’ve been able to create this space for myself as a designer while still playing basketball.”
Super Bowl MVP Von Miller is another baller who loves to play with his fashion selections. While he may refer to himself as a self-proclaimed nerd, he loves to dabble in fashion putting together different looks that reflect his personality.
“Fashion is my individuality,” said Von. “With the Denver Broncos, we have the most stylish team in the NFL and I think I’m right up there with the leaders of the pack. But it just didn’t start over night. One guy started dressing really nice and then the next guy and it just kind of caught fire after that. My favorite accessory would be my glasses but I wouldn’t even call it an accessory because it’s something I need every day. When you think of Von you think of glasses and I took off with it and embraced the geek and the dork in me. Hats are huge in my wardrobe as well—cowboy hats, fur hats. I’m a Texan through and through. I’m a country boy. When I go to the city I see shiny new stuff and I get it. When I get to the country, I combine both of the styles and put the glasses on there and you’ve got Von Miller.”

During their chat, Jimmy said Gabrielle Union recalled the highlight of her wedding (to Dwyane Wade) was when Common break danced on the dance floor.“That was fun, but I ended up splitting my pants trying to break dance. said Common. "So it wasn’t the highlight for me, but I had a good time.”

He's the oldest player in NBA history to cop a shocking 60 points in a game. He also beat Michael Jordan's 50 point finale game.

Yasss Jada! The hot mom was a bad mom this week at CinemaCon at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. While rocking tan, suede shorts and a blazer at The State of the Industry: Past, Present and Future and STX Entertainment Presentation event to discuss her upcoming movie Bad Moms.
Her ensemble cast includes Mila Kunis in the leading role (not pictured), Kesha (not pictured), producer Suzanne Todd, Christina Applegate, Kathryn Han and Kristen Bell.
Jada's husband was also there to have some fun on the carpet with the cast of The Big Picture.

Jennifer Lopez is one SUPER busy lady these days. The 46-year-old entertainer recently wrapped up the finale season of “American Idol” as a judge, she currently stars (and produces) in NBC’s cop drama “Shades Of Blue,” and she’s gearing up to head back to the stage for her Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood.
On top of all that, JLo has been busy on the promo trail to promote her many projects, hitting up several talk shows and making many TV appearances. Yet, she still finds time to slay a magazine cover like only she can.
For her newest cover, the “Booty” singer is splashing her beauty on W Magazine’s May 2016 issue. Inside, the businesswoman talks about juggling her many projects and if the nonstop pace ever gets overwhelming.
“I do have trouble saying no,”said JLo. “It’s hard for me not to imagine doing everything I am asked to do. Even if I hear a song that someone else has done or watch a film that someone else is in, I think, Oh, I would do it like this. Or, I wish I could do it like that. Luckily, I love to work.”
It’s a good thing she loves to work. because chick STAYS booked.
Switching subjects, JLo talked about the last time she appeared on the “TODAY” show where she was asked who was better in bed between dancers, musicians and actors. At the time she replied, “dancers,” which could have been a subtle shoutout to her current beau Casper Smart. Then, she elaborated on her ex-musician boyfriends, which could have been shade thrown at her ex-boyfriend Diddy and/or her ex-husband Marc Anthony.
“Musicians are too self-absorbed,” JLo explained. “They are too concerned with themselves to be great in bed.”
Well, she did end up marrying a musician, but unfortunately, it didn't work out for JLo and Marc Anthony. She opened up about her struggle to forgive him saying,
“When my marriage ended, it was not easy to find forgiveness. It wasn’t the dream that I had hoped for, and it would have been easier to fan the flames of resentment, disappointment, and anger. But Marc is the father of my children [8-year-old twins], and that’s never going away. So, I have to work to make things right. And that is, by far, the hardest work I do.”
Later, JLo talked about being a woman in the entertainment industry and how she has to work twice as hard as a man to gain the respect she deserves. She said,
“It’s a man’s world, and, truly, people in a business setting do not value a woman as much as a man. I feel like I’m constantly having to prove myself. If a man does one thing well, people immediately say he’s a genius. Women have to do something remarkable over and over and over. And, even then, they get questions about their love life.” She shrugged. “People underestimate me. They always have, and maybe that’s for the best. It’s fun to prove them wrong.”

Tinashe is back with another super sexy spread. After heating up Complex magazine with a titillating spread, the 23-year-old singer is showing some skin in PaperMag’s newest issue.
As she puts the finishing touches on her sophomore album Joyride, the L.A. native chops it up with Paper Mag about staying true to herself as her starpower grows and not dating celebrities:
“I don't feel pressure to look any way so much as I feel pressure to act a certain way. I feel the pressure to date around. People are always shocked to know that I don't date around with other celebrities. I'd rather just be known for my music or my art. People will say something crazy like, 'Why don't you just go date Justin Bieber and be way more famous?' I'm like, 'What?'”
Tinashe is a firm believer in women being in control saying, “It's important nowadays to have your own perspective and get involved, because it is such a male-dominated industry. We need to gain back control.”
It appears the R&B songstress has her head on straight and knows exactly how she plans to take her career to the top. She said:
"You can’t have too many chefs in the kitchen. You have to stay true to your own instincts and just have your own vision. I think that is very important. Otherwise you just get lost in the sauce.”

It's no secret Odell Backham Jr. and Drake have a budding bromance. There are several flicks on each of their Instagram pages hanging out having fun together. And it appears the twosome have gotten so close that the New York Giants receiver has moved in to one of Drizzy’s mansions.
In an interview with DraftKings TV, Odell revealed has been spending his off-season living with the Young Money rapper while he finishes up his new album, Views From The 6. He said,
“That’s my guy right there. [Houston Appreciation Week] was the first time we really hung out was that whole weekend. This really was the start of a friendship that’ll carry through a lifetime. Weird enough, I’m actually staying at his place right now while he’s finishing the album. I’m just out there working out. He needs to chill out with that house he has out there. There’s just too much going on.”
Odell and his homies have been having loads of fun at Drizzy’s house. They recently threw a backyard dance party where we see the NFLer and his friends dancing around in Drake’s backyard (seen above).
The fun may be up by now though. The Giants have launched their off-season workouts this week, which means Odell is (or will soon be) back in NYC to train with his team.

Drake is in his hometown of Toronto. The “Hotline Bling” rapper was spotted leaving his hotel and hopping inside of a SUV headed to his next location. He rocked an October's Very Own x Canada Goose Green Camo Timber Shell Jacket from his own clothing line.
His spotting came after partying it up with his former rumored fling Rihanna and her bestie Melissa Forde for Melissa’s birthday. Rih and co. held a dinner party at Drizzy’s Toronto restaurant Fring’s, which is rumored to be named after Rih. Fring’s is allegedly the nickname he gave Rih Rih. Mmhmm…
The singer has signed a deal with the Kendo division of LVMH (which also produces Marc Jacobs Beauty) to create a full cosmetics collection to launch in 2017, after first speaking of her plans to venture into the beauty world in 2015.
Rihanna has previously collaborated with MAC on its Viva Glam lipsticks, as well as the RiRi Hearts MAC collection in 2013. Other collaborations include her collection with Manolo Blahnik this spring - unveiled in Vogue's April 2016 issue - her ongoing Puma partnership and her 2013 River Island range. She also has seven fragrances to her name, produced with Parlux Ltd.

Today is the day Beyonce’s highly anticipated Ivy Park, a new athleisure collection in collaboration with TopShop, is released. And, as with anything associated with Bey, it was an epic launch.
In Beverly Hills at the TopShop flagship store in The Grove, budding actress Karrueche Tran made sure she was first in line to cop a few pieces. She roamed around the store with a strategically place photog, picking up pieces that caught her eye:
Styling in a tan suede shirt and pants, Kae snapped it up with TopShop owner Phillip Green's daughter Chloe Green. She too was in the mix to cop a few of Bey's athletic pieces.
And then she got leggy with actor Vas J. Morgan.

As folks poured into the TopShop store, the BeyHive was busy making moves online. Ivy Park went on sale at 1AM EST, so fans stayed up so they could get their hands on their own merchandise. Problem is, with so many fans all trying to nab a few pieces at the same time, the TopShop site CRASHED!
Eager fans piled their shopping carts up with tons of gear only to get to the check out page and couldn’t proceed. Yikes! While this a good thing for Bey, the BeyHive is pissed they couldn’t get the items they had been eyeing since Bey announced she would be releasing the line. Now, many of the popular pieces are already sold out.
Gotta be quicker than that!
During another outing yesterday, Kae was spotted picking up a pair of Christian Louboutins. Must be nice....
