The “How To Get Away With Murder” cast hosted a panel at The Paley Center in NYC last night. Peep their purple carpet pics and get the deets on Spike Lee's honorary Oscar celebrating his body of work inside….

The cast of the hit ABC series “HTGAWM” has been heavy on the daytime talk show circuit promoting the current season of crime drama.

Last night, the promo run continued as stars Viola Davis, Matt McGorry, Jack Falahee, Aja Naomi King, Liza Weil,Billy Brown and Charlie Webber hit the purple carpet to attend PaleyLive NY: "How To Get Away With Murder" at The Paley Center for Media.

Oscar nominated actress Viola Davis put on a flirty display in a pink pencil midi dress and black ankle bow sandals. During the panel, the 50-year-old starlet talked about how over the top the sex scenes can be on the show. She dished,

"People have sex onscreen, and, now, we know people don't have sex like that. Nobody puts down a towel. At some point I said, 'I've got to take the wig off before somebody throws me up against the wall,'" she added, then paused. "Who gets thrown up against a wall!? I mean, I'd throw my neck out. Those scenes I feel go too far."

Ha!

The fab actress also talked about what she loves about the show. She said she loves portraying Annalise Keating as a real woman of color and not an extension of a male or female’s fantasy as to what a woman looks like or how she should act. She explains,

"I always feel like when I look at women on TV that they're an extension of male fantasy, or female fantasy; I never see a real woman. The women in my life are anywhere from a size 2 to a size 26. They don't know how to walk in heels, but they buy them anyway. They're messy; they have questionable sex lives. I think they really represent the broad spectrum of humanity. And I wanted to see a real woman of color on television. I wanted to be a real woman, I felt like that would be the most progressive choice that I could make, and not kind of copy what I've seen before on TV."

Posing on the purple carpet, Viola and Aja snapped it up with their co-star Liza Weil.

Mookie gets his Oscar y'all!

Famed director Spike Lee is finally getting his just due in the form of an Honorary Oscar thanks to Academy president Cheryl Boone. Mr. Lee will receive an honorary Oscar at the Academy's Governors Awards on Nov. 14th, just in time to celebrate his upcoming controversial film, Chi-raq. The film will be Amazon's first film with a theatrical release set to hit theaters Dec. 4th.

FUN FACT: At the age of 58, he'll become one of the youngest to receive an Honorary Oscar.

Over the years, Spike has been very vocal on Hollywood's lack of diversity. But, these days he believes strides are being made to move forward and recognize good work for what it is. Spike spoke to THR about receiving the award from the evolving Academy saying, "She's doing a great job. She's really been active in getting younger and diversified voting members, which I think is needed."

On Instagram, the independent filmmaker announced the news to his fans saying:

While chatting with THR, Spike also dished on what he has in the works and Michael Jackson's name came up. He said:

"We were working overtime [on Chi-raq]. On the side, I'm finishing a documentary on the making of Michael Jackson's Off the Wall album, for the Michael Jackson estate and Sony Records. I already did Bad 25, and hopefully the estate will ask me to come back and do Thriller, and then I'll complete the trilogy."

We have the first look at the new season of “Tamar & Vince” inside. Also, Jeezy hit up the “Wendy Williams Show” to open up about getting arrested on a gun charge last year. Get it all inside…

We’ve been keeping tabs on Tamar Braxton as she takes over the world. The Grammy nominated artist has literally been booked to capacity co-hosting on “The Real,” competing on “Dancing With The Stars,” releasing a new album, going on tour with Mary J. Blige & KEM, being a mother, a wife and a sister. And we saw what overworking can lead to…the hospital!

In case you missed it, Tamar was rushed to the hospital earlier this week for what she thought was pneumonia right before she was set to dance on “DWTS.” Leaving straight from the hospital, she returned to compete on the show and was determined safe from elimination. She later revealed her illness is much more serious than she thought.  Unfortunately, it causes blood clots in both of her lungs.  The star decided to withdraw from the competition to take care of herself.

Good for her. Some rest and relaxation will surely do her body good.

Now, we get to see everything that went on behind-the-scenes as Tamar took on her plethora of projects. The cameras for her reality show were rolling to capture her in "Super Woman" mode. Get the first look below:

On daytime TV today...

Rapper Jeezy (he dropped the 'Young') sat down on the "Wendy Williams Show" today to promote his new album Churches In These Streets, which dropped today.

During his chat, the Atlanta rapper talked about a mishap that happened when he was invited to a private dinner with President Obama in NYC. He said he was invited to the dinner after POTUS heard his song “My President Is Black.” After getting the invite, he said he went out and bought Tom Ford suits for himself and his homies for the affair.

Well, things went downhill once he got to the venue. He said he arrived at the door one of the Secret Service agents tap one of his people on the shoulder and said Jeezy could not come inside. Yikes! The reason? He believes it was because of his criminal past. The rapper said he was embarrassed by the situation and left.  He recalled that drive back to the hotel was one of the longest rides ever.

In another story, Jeezy breaks down what happened when he and five others got arrested for possession of an assault riffle (AK-47) after a deadly shooting at a Wiz Khalifa concert in Irvine, California.

The police found the weapon on the rapper’s tour bus after a search warrant had been issued in connection to the case. Jeezy said the gun was not his and that it belonged to one of his security guards. He said that particular security guard had got into an incident earlier and was wounded, so he was not there to claim the weapon when police raided the bus.

He said he was arrested with his employees and felt it was his duty to make sure they all got out. Each person was given a million bail and he said he stayed there and made sure all of them got out before he left. Nice. A stand up guy indeed.

Apple is making boss moves to shut down Dr. Dre’s Beats Music streaming service. Deets inside…

Well Apple is shaking up the music streaming circuit…again.

It’s being reported the tech giant will be shutting down Beats Music…and fast. Beats Music will be a thing of the past come November 30th. And all subscribers will have to join Apple Music or another music streaming platform. The move makes sense. Why have another streaming service in competition of their new Apple Music platform that was rolled out over the summer?

You’ll recall, Apple took over Beats Music back in 2014 as part of its $3 billion Beats Electronics acquisition with Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine. According to reports, Apple used the Beats team to help build its own Apple Music subscription service. Smart move.

But, as Fortune reports, this shut down should come as no surprise. It appears Apple does this a lot with companies they acquire. Once they buy out a company, it simply disappears off the face of the earth and somehow is integrated into the Apple brand.

PAPER cover girl FKA Twigs and her actor fiancé Robert Pattinson did a cutesy date night at the 8th Annual GO Campaign Gala in Beverly Hills last night. The songer-songwriter was a vision in an all-white jumpsuit and black platform heels.

While FKA Twigs isn’t currently expecting, she did reveal recently she would love to settle down and have a family of her own. She told PAPER,

"I'm quite traditional. You know that saying. You can take the girl out of the country but you can't take the country out of the girl. I grew up in Gloucestershire, and there's a certain format that people fit into. And I'm actually quite happy with that format. I'm quite happy to say, 'Go to school, work hard on your GCSEs, do your A-Levels, get married, have children. Send your kids to a nice school. Make sure you're in the right catchment area."

If you thought James Harden would decide to leave Khloe Kardashian alone with all she has going on with her husband Lamar Odom, guess again.  He's still her boyfriend.

The 31-year-old reality star appeared on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” where she first gave an update on Lamar’s current condition. She said the NBA baller is having to learn how to walk and talk again. She said Lamar hasn’t asked about why he’s in the hospital and if he did, they would have to tell him something else as the truth could affect his progress. She said the stroke affected a part of his brain that controls his motion, but he has been able to smile and laugh at appropriate times, so things are on the up and up.

The reality star then went on to profess her undying love for Lamar and gave thanks to her family and her amazing boyfriend (James) for being by her side. Hmph.  She said,

"Well I’m there helping him and I love him and I’ve always loved him. And that will never change and I just feel like it’s a really insensitive thing to fast forward a divorce. But I love him and I always will and he’s a fantastic person who deserves support and love and for someone to be by his side and for me I’m that to him. And thank God I have a fantastic family who loves me and loves him just as much. And they’re so supportive and they’re with me and I have a great boyfriend who’s understanding.”

This is the first time she has admitted she and James are an item. When asked how James is handling the unusual situation, she said,

“It’s definitely a very unique situation, to say the least. I’m just going to say I’m a part of polygamy now. I have a husband, I have a boyfriend. That's an easier way to say it, right?"

She adds,

“Yeah he’s fine with it. I mean we have to communicate a lot. And he’s really supportive and great. I think the press and everything they make it more complicated. I think inside our circle we know exactly what’s going on and I feel sometimes it’s crazy that I, yes we live so much of our life in public, but that I have to explain every step when that’s kind of frustrating.”

It's been a weekend full of events!  Kerry Washington was honored, Kelly Rowland & Tia Mowry made their fab rounds, Ja Rule brought his wife and co-star on the red carpet, and plenty more inside....

Kerry Washington always does a red carpet justice.  Yesterday, she pulled double duty by slaying two in one day.

She was honored at the 2015 Baby2Baby Gala presented by MarulaOil & Kayne Capital Advisors Foundation at 3LABS in Culver City, California. The gorgeous "Scandal" star went for the feminine dramatics with a full ball gown by Giambattista Valli made of floral embellishments and black sheer chiffon:

Sheesh.  Just gorgeous.  We're pretty much obsessed with her look.

The fabulous mommy to 1-and-a half-year-old Isabella is a major supporter of the Baby2Baby organization which supplies families in need with essential baby gear and clothing for their children up to age 12.  The organization reaches over 50,000 children per year!

Another fab mommy who made an appearance at the event -- Kelly Rowland.

She kept it sexy in a chic black turtle neck dress to hug those curves and show off those gams she's been working so hard on after having little Titan (who just turned 1!).  Love the look for her.

Rapper Ja Rule and his wife Aisha Atkins hit the event to support Kerry Washington as well.  The twosome just kicked off their new MTV reality show "Follow the Rules" with their whole family.  Now, they're making the Hollywood rounds.  Hip Hop has definitely grown up...

Before her extra dramatic entrance into Baby2Baby, Kerry popped up alongside her "Scandal" co-stars at the Max Azria x Shondaland event elsewhere in L.A.

She kept her floral theme but this time went for a white and nude palette.  Kerry's embroidered double layer floral dress was paired with a pair of radiant nude pumps as she posed it up with co-stars Portia de Rossi and Katie Lowes.

She's another one who pulled double duty this weekend.  Rocking a Peter Pilotto colorful dress and Steve Madden shoes, the (former) "Instant Mom" star brought her adorable son Cree to the premiere of Disney Channel's 'The Lion Guard: Return Of The Roar' at Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California yesterday.

Christina Milian also arrived at the event as she's currently a star on Disney's property -- ABC -- on "Grandfathered."  An embellished cropped jacket with exaggerated shoulders paired with jeans and heels can work wonders for an elevated casual look.

It was a big weekend for a few legends!  Spike Lee nabbed his honorary Oscar with tons of his fabulous friends in tow, plus Tribe Called Quest returns to tv for the first time in 15 years.

Spike Lee can officially call himself an Academy Award winning director!  The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences held its Governors Awards Saturday night where the Honorary Academy Award was awarded to Spike Lee for his amazing career work.

The Chi-raq director posted pics from the momentous occasion at the 7th annual Governors Awards at The Ray Dolby Ballroom with his long time friends (and actors from his most famous movies) Wesley Snipes, Denzel Washington, and Samuel L. Jackson.  He said:

Solange and her hubby Alan Ferguson are celebrating their 1 year anniversary.  Yep, it's already been a year since they tied the knot in an epic wedding weekend in New Orleans.

The twosome decided to take an anniversary vacay by car, but it didn't go exactly has they planned.  Thanks to someone missing the gas light alert, they ran out of gas in the middle of nowhere.  They did, though, get creative in passing the time.

 Day 3 of hubby and i's anniversary road trip to a place very special to us. Someone got really intense while talking about how much she loves "Fancy" by @thekingdream and listened to it about 5 times in a row while driving and zoning out. Someone looked up and saw the gas light was on and no gas station in sight for an hour. Someone felt the car slowing down to a stop and made us run out of gas. Someone noticed there was no phone service. But someone has a lovely partner who reminded her the aux chord still worked, so while we waited on the side of the road two hours for help, we watched a movie on the computer and cozied up. ☺️ Moral of the story is: @thekingdream you fucked up our road trip, lolololol (I kiiiiid) But made it so special because I'm so lucky my best friend/ love is alwaaays a beacon of light, optimism, and awesomeness (when I'm usually bitchy, and dramatic as hell in a crisis, lol) and always turns lemons in to lemonade and even puts a lil gin in it:) Oh yeah and bless to the angel who let us use her phone, and triple AAA you fucking rock!

My how time flies.  Remember when Reginae Carter was in the OMG Girlz with her friends, all managed by Tameka "Tiny" Cottle?  Well, Reginae left the group years ago to go solo.  OMG disbanded recently as well.  It does, however, seem they all kept going by embarking on solo careers.

The girls caught up at group member Bahja Rodriguez's party to celebrate her new album It Gets Better.   Tiny posted a pic of them before when they first started out together...and now this weekend.

Over the weekend, Beyonce and Blue Ivy spent an afternoon celebrating at what appears to be a wedding. Mrs. Carter gave fans a sneak peek at her YBF weekend with her baby girl on Instagram.

The mommy-daughter duo rocked white & gold ensembles for the soiree. Cutie Blue looked adorable in her party dress, while mom served in a white wrap dress with gold accents.

As the party continued, Mama Bey worked her way through the crowd and then struck a pose. *snaps for the kids*

Mrs. Carter also shared this fierce up-close selfie in the back seat of her ride on her way to the event. Perfect.

At a baby shower....

Over the weekend, Crystal Renay had some fun at her bachelorette party and Ne-Yo was front-and-center. The soon-to-be wife and mom invited some of her family and closes friends over to celebrate the milestones she’s about to embark on.

Looks like the cameras were rolling for the special event. TV show in the works perhaps?

Crystal was beaming with joy during the festivities. She held her belly while showing off her massive diamond ring as she posed with a boquet of flowers.

Apparently, Crystal and "Born Again Virgin" actress Eva Marcille are good friends as Eva helped put the shindig together. She snapped it up with celebrity chef Lovejoy Cole.

Hip Hop mogul Diddy and his ex/stylist Misa Hylton came together to celebrate their son Justin Dior Combs’ on the football field for Senior Day at UCLA.

Diddy hopped on Instagram to give a shoutout to his son saying,"I'm PROUD OF YOU BOY! #GoBruins senior day! PROUD PROUD SOOOOOOO PROUD! Love you @princejdc @misahylton".

Misa was one proud mama bear gushing on Instagram, "Always my baby @princejdc #UCLA #familyfirst #seniorday".

All love! Mariah Carey received double the love from her 4-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe. In an adorable Instagram snap, the twins each gave their mom a kiss on her cheek. She captioned, "Pure Love."

Dem Babies went to hang out with their dad Nick Cannon and their grandmother Beth Gardener.

Dem Babies joined their dad to help him host Nickelodeon’s HALO Awards over the weekend. The “America’s Got Talent” host brought the cuties in the DJ Booth for a fun DJ’n lesson. He captioned, "DJ Roc&Roe on the 1's and 2's #Ncredible #CannonParty.” Fun times!

Then this morning..

Nicki Minaj better call up the Young Money lawyers because her ex-fiancé Safaree Samuels is reportedly gearing up to take her court! Why? Find out inside…

Looks like Nicki Minaj and her ex-fiance Safaree “SB” Samuels will be heading to court if Safaree gets his way.

According to TMZ, SB has lawyered up and supposedly planning to file a lawsuit against Young Money’s First Lady. Why, you ask? Well, money of course. Money he believes he’s owed.

Sources claim Safaree wants his piece of the pie from three of Nicki’s highly successful albums including Pink Friday, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded and The Pinkprint. And there’s more…

He also wants his share for three of Nicki’s chart-topping singles including “Only” featuring Chris Brown, Lil Wayne & Drake, as well as the Beyonce-assisted “Feeling Myself.”

Safaree has mentioned that Nicki doesn’t necessarily come up with all tracks herself. You’ll recall, he told The Breakfast Club in his first interview since their break-up,“Don’t say ‘Oh, I don’t have no talent’ because every time it came to writing raps and doing music, it was me, her and a beat. She doesn’t do it by herself. It was me and her. Don’t discredit me on what I’ve done for you, that’s weak. All I’m saying is this is something me and her did together." He never admitted that he wrote her rhymes, but it’s clear she wasn’t coming up with everything totally on her own.

So since he says he was so instrumental in her writing credits, he plans on presenting receipts in the form of videos of him working with Nicki in the studio, voice memos from studio sessions, footage from recording sessions and he claims to have multiple witnesses to back him up. Apparently, that executive producer tag on her first two albums wasn’t enough.

Remember when Nicki said the cause of their break up was because SB was fame hungry and that he was trying to blackmail her back then? Hmm...guess he decided to say to hell with blackmail...let me get this money legally.

IF this goes to court....it could get messy. We'll keep you posted.

“Empire” star Jussie Smollett seems to always be on the run. He’s super busy these days with his hit FOX series, but he also has other projects under his belt.

The hot YBF actor is featured in Diddy’s Sean John“Dream Big” Fall/Holiday '15 campaign. Jussie along with Quincy Brown, LaLa & Carmelo Anthony’s son Kiyan Anthony and LeBron & Savannah’s sons JeBron Jr. and Bryce James are all featured in the inspirational spread encouraging young folks to go after their dreams and to “dream big!”

Hitting the promo trail for the motivational campaign, Jussie trekked down to a Macy’s department store in Atlanta on Saturday for a free meet-and-greet.

Lucky (and emotional) fans got a chance to get up-close-and-personal with the sta.  Jussie's making all the girls cryr:

In music news....

Soulful Southern Hummingbird Tweet continues on with her musical comeback gearing up to release her fourth studio album CHARLENE. The “Won’t Hurt Me” songstress releases the cover art to her upcoming album and drops the date on when he can expect her new musical offering: January 22, 2016. So mark those calendars.

In a press release, the beautiful songstress expressed her excitement about returning to the music scene saying,

“Words can’t express how much I am looking forward to my fans hearing what I have been working on. If they missed me, half as much as I missed them, we are in for a beautiful journey.”

This album holds a special place in her heart as she named it after her birth name. She said,

“Charlene will illustrate how much my personal and professional experiences have shaped me. I’ve evolved as a woman and I am much more wiser now. As an artist, I’ve totally matured vocally.”

Nice! We can’t wait to hear those flawless vocals return to her tracks.

Rick Ross fans will be happy to know the Miami rapper’s upcoming eighth studio album Black Market will be here in two weeks. And to tease his upcoming LP, the MMG honcho unleashed a new trailer featuring the rapper’s live concert performances, studio sessions and what its like to live the rockstar lifestyle.

It's been a good November for Rozay. He was taken off house arrest, he got his fiancée Lira Galore back (if they every really broke up) and now he has a new musical project coming. Must be good to be the Bawse right now.

Sevyn Streeter is back with another hot remix. After putting her spin on Torey Lanez’s “Say It” and “Drama” by Roy Wood$ ft. Drake, the R&B songstress is putting her “Streeter Switch” on R&B singer Bryson Tiller’s “Don’t.”

It’s always fun hearing tracks get transformed from the female’s perspective. Seems like Sevyn is on to something here. Take a listen above.

The YBF chick is currently traveling the nation on her 7-city tour rocking the stage with her hits from her debut album Call Me Crazy But… and her EP Shoulda Been There Part 1.

The 29-year-old singer is gearing up to release her sophomore album On The Verge. No word on when it’ll be released to the masses. But, in the meantime, peep Sevyn’s performance with Mack Wilds and Sean Garrett at SOB’s in NYC last week below:

Kendrick Lamar and his homies decided last month they would crash a wedding reception. But ish almost went totally left once one wedding guest realized the guys didn’t know the newlywed couple.

In the clip, we see Kendrick rush to the dance floor as “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” by Whitney Houston plays in the background. Soon, a man walks up to one of Kendrick’s friends and asked “Who got married?” When they didn’t answer that’s when tensions began to flare. No worries though. It’s reported someone finally realized who Kendrick was and everything was cool. Check it above.

Anthony Mackie has a new movie AND a new baby to celebrate! He and his wife secretly welcomed their third child. More inside….

Captain America and Avengers star Anthony Mackie just pulled ANOTHER superhero magic trick. Well…he AND his wife Sheletta Chapital Mackie. The twosome recently welcomed their third child without anyone knowing.

You’ll recall, Anthony & Sheletta pulled a fast move last December and secretly got married in Punta Cana. It’s obvious they like their privacy.

The upcoming Night Before star nonchalantly made the big reveal while chopping it up with the LA Times about his new film.  He casually mentioned he and his wife became parents for the third time saying,

“I recently had my third kid, and it just messed up everything that was my reality."

He continued, “It just changes your entire perspective on the world. Even traveling is an issue now — I've got to buy five tickets!” Ha!

The Night After hit theaters November 20th.

The Heat ballers were quite busy in Miami this weekend. Dwyane Wade and his wife Gabrielle Union hosted D. Wade’s annual “A Night On The RunWade” charity event and Amar’e Stoudemire celebrated his 33rd birthday. Pics inside….

Miami Heat baller Dwyane Wade and “Being Mary Jane” star Gabrielle Union got dressed up to present D. Wade’s fourth annual A Night On The RunWade charity event at The Ice Palace Studios. The soiree, presented by Carnival Foundation and Carnival Corporation, featured a silent auction and a high-end runway fashion show to help raise funds for D. Wade’s foundation Wade’s World.

Gabby worked the red carpet in a silver, sparkly plunging neckline gown topped off with her braids styled in a side French braid to complete her look.

D. Wade’s teammate Chris Bosh and his pregnant wife Adrienne Bosh (who's expecting twins) came out to support their longtime friends. They always show up when the Wades have an event.

E! New co-host Terrence J was on the scene looking dapper in his deep burgundy blazer and black slacks. He was tapped to emcee the event.

After a quick wardrobe change, Gabby made her rounds posing it up with TJ’s manager Fred Whit and FlipFlop Management CEO Chantel Christopher.

The event also featured a pop up store with products from Wade’s partnerships with Stance, The Tie Bar, Naked, and Li-Ning.

A few of Wade's Miami b-ball homies came out to support, including Amar'e Stoudemire, Luol Deng, Justise Winslow, Udonis Haslem, Tyler Johnson, Josh McRoberts and Josh Richardson.

Miami's own superproducer DJ Khaled was in the building.

Gabby was busy fondling the models...one of which was her hubby...back stage. She captioned, "Told me not to touch the models... oops #RunWade" Ha!

On Sunday in Miami....

After partying with the Wades for their charity event, Amar’e Stoudemire celebrated his 33rd birthday with his wife Alexis Stoudemire and friends at a lavish birthday bash in Miami.

The soiree was quite the event featuring a Ferrari in the dining room, new model La Ferrari Hublot watches on display, a custom on site cigar roller provided by Fuente Cigars was present, and Basquiat ‘King Pleasure’ candles filled the room with the baller’s favorite scent, an ode to his love for contemporary artist Basquiat. Nice!

Joining in on the festivities was rapper Ace Hood who came out to party with the birthday boy. Fun times.

Rapper T.I. and his wife Tiny went on a cutesy lunch date today in Beverly Hills amid rumors that the couple is expecting another bundle of joy. The twosome enjoyed lunch at Il Pastaio in Beverly Hills.

Word on the curb is that Tip and Tiny are expecting their fourth child together after Tiny’s niece semi-spilled the beans.

Tiny’s niece Snapchatted a picture of Tiny posing alongside a pregnant “RHOA” star Kandi Burruss at her KANDILAND baby shower over the weekend with the caption “The two preggers,” hinting that the former Xscape member could be pregnant like her former band mate.

You’ll recall, the Kang and Queen of the South lost a newborn baby daughter Leyah Amore back in 2007, so if they are pregnant, they will be welcoming their fourth child together. The new Harris baby will be joining the clan of Harris kids including Zonnique Pullins, Messiah, Domani, Deyjah, King and Major.

Elsewhere in Beverly Hills....

“FABLife” co-host Tyra Banks was seen in Beverly Hills today. The former runway model was dressed casually in a pair of distressed denim jeans, a black sweatshirt and a fedora.

Today on the “FABLife,” Tyra was a no show due to being under the weather.  The show is pre-taped so we hope she's already feeling better!
