Mary J. Blige has been making the rounds in NYC and just this morning, she co-hosted with Kelly Ripa on "Live With Kelly."  As the twosome interviewed Chris Hansen of "The Bachelor," Mary says she's not the one to be fighting a bunch of women over a man:

"I watched it specifically because of today ... I used to try to watch it, but it was just like, you know, one guy and all these chicks and he's gonna pick the one he likes the best and they're all fighting for him. It makes sense to whoever thinks that way, but I'm a woman who doesn't think that way. I'm either worth it or I'm not. I'm the one. I'm not going to be fighting over you with 10 other women."

In addition to just singing, Mary's songwriting career is really taking off.  She was recently nominated for both the Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild Awards for penning "The Living Proof" from The Help.   

And now she's writing a new song for a documentary focusing on sexual assault in the U.S. military.  Nice.

Last night's "Love & Hip Hop" Season 2 finale raised some eyebrows and blood pressure.  We already knew about Kimbella's pregnancy--event though she spent the whole episode saying she and baby daddy Juelz weren't on the level they needed to be on and he couldn't give her what she needed.  But what we didn't know was Chrissy's definition of "loyalty" and what she allows Jim to do in their relationship.

I typically try to stay as objective as possible with this show as most of it is scripted and everyone has different outlooks on what's acceptable and what's not.  Especially where women and their careers and their relationships are concerned.  But last night just needs to be discussed.

Emily went to Chrissy about what Fab's ex-assistant Winter (who was just spotted with Fab days ago by the way) told her about "forgiving" Fab.  Emily says that Winter's advice to her which was to "find a hobby" while Fab is out "doing what he's going to do" stuck out to her.  Winter told Emily to go home because "she is breaking Fab's heart right now."  (Girl stop.)  Emily didn't know if she should take heed to Winter's advice to turn the other cheek to Fab's cheating ways.  Winter told her it costs (and not money) to ride in the Bentleys (which 99% of these rappers are leasing their damn selves) and get all the clothes and shoes she's come to worship.  So Em needed Chrissy's advice on whether she should take heed to what Winter said.

Chrissy's advice to Em was even more shocking.  She said this rap business is indeed crazy at times, and you have to have a specific bond with your man.  Chrissy, who I have been a huge supporter of all season and was actually surprised by, went on to say that "a man is going to do what he's going to do," but has to be loyal and smart enough to never let his main girl see it, feel it, or hear it.  And she indeed sounded as if she was speaking from cheating experience with Jimmy.

Now I know this is a touchy subject and all, but low standards and no sense of self worth has to be called out when it's slapping me in the face every week.  And even moreso when young girls are looking to these shows as examples of how to live--whether we like it or not.  Em & Chrissy's conversation was the best example of a woman believing "My body, mind and self are only worth main status," instead of it all being worth "ONLY" status.  These women--esp. those with young daughters--have GOT to do better.  It's bad enough you think it's ok to get treated like trash on a public platform and publicly cheated on, it's a whole other to make it known that you're OK with it.

How's this for some advice?  Some folks are not going to like it...but sue me.  GET/CREATE A REAL JOB, work your ass off like plenty of successful and fabulous women do every day of their lives, and buy your own shoes and clothes and what nots.  Since that's what's important to you.  A grown and able woman relying on a man to buy her the very things she can buy for herself will always lead to a dumb doormat with no self worth.  No matter how well you dress up the screen door.  There is nothing wrong with your lover/man/friend/whatever you want to call him gifting you things to add to your collection (we all love a gift).  That's what people do for each other in relationships.  But making a man, who has no desire to make you his ONLY, your sole source of getting the necessities and luxuries you believe you need in life--is just foolish.  And will never end well.  In the end, surprisingly, Emily said she did not move back in with Fab because she demands more respect.

Chelsea said: “She’s worse than Elizabeth Taylor.  She’s just so ridiculous with her body. You see her one day and she’s like 50 pounds heavier or lighter. I mean, what is she doing? I don’t even understand what hemisphere people like that operate in. There’s nothing real about her and her Hello Kitty whatever…”

And Ne-Yo just made a big executive decision:

Big changes are on the way for Mr. Smith (shown above with Barry Weiss and Ethiopia Habtemariam). He just switched teams from Def Jam to Motown Records and was also named senior VP of A&R for Motown.

In his new role, Ne-Yo will serve as a producer and mentor to the label's artists. Universal Republic and Island Def Jam Motown chairman/CEO Barry Weiss said,

"His track record of success at Def Jam will always be a benchmark...But this move to Motown will provide new and inspiring challenges for Ne-Yo as both an artist and a key member of the new senior management team that is taking form at the label in 2012."

Ethiopia Habtemariam, Senior Vice President of Motown Records, said of Ne-Yo

"We are committed to discovering, developing and nurturing R&B/soul superstars here at Motown. In Ne-Yo we have both a global superstar and arguably one of the best songwriters in music. His presence on the executive team only strengthens our commitment to be the very best in R&B."

Adrienne Bailon stopped by Cherry Martinez's radio show at Power 105.1 recently.  And she finally gave her side of the "I'm not messing around with Fabolous" story.  What she had to say about it all inside...

Terrell Owens KNOWS drama.   In the past couple of years, there were two alleged suicide attempts, courts cases with FOUR baby mommas, loss of income (no NFL team wants him) and a big fallout with former BFFs Mo and Kita.  Now during a candid interview with GQ for their February 2012 issue, he talks about all of it....and so do a few other people.  Here are the highlights from T.O. being discussed by himself and those close to him....

On why no NFL team will pick T.O. up

An unnamed NFL exec said, "It's not his knee that's the problem; it's his attitude.  He may have been less openly divisive with the Bengals, but you can't live down the destruction of all those years. With T.O., no matter how brilliant he can be on the field, the dark side is always lurking. You don't know which T.O. you're going to get, and no one is comfortable risking that."

On his vulnerability

Reality tv-show producer Jesse Ignjatovic said, "I can't imagine another NFL player who would let us film while he told his mother, who relied on him, that he was going broke, someone who wouldn't hold back tears while he stood there in her kitchen."

On how his business partners helped him blow $80M

"I hate myself for letting this happen.  I believed that they had my back when they said, 'You take care of the football, and we'll do the rest.' And in the end, they just basically stole from me."

On being lonely

"I don't have no friends. I don't want no friends. That's how I feel."

On baby momma regrets

He says, "If there's anything I'm sorry about, it's getting involved with all that." He added that he never dated any of the four women he impregnated...mostly they were "repeat offenders."  He resents them for suing him for more child support money as he's going broke.

He chalks them both up to "misunderstandings."

On his big fallout with Mo and Kita

He says he missed Monique and Kita whom he stopped speaking to after he  discovered they were trying to sell their own lives as a reality program. "They said they were planning to make me an executive producer, but if we were business partners, don't you think I would have known about it?"

NY Giants baller Devin Thomas stopped by "The Wendy Williams Show" today to talk about the "fumble" that helped land the Giants a spot at the Superbowl.  Watch it inside.....

This past Sunday, NY Giants wide receiver Devin Thomas intercepted a fumble that helped defeat the San Francisco 49ers and clinch a spot in the Super Bowl!

In addition to talking to Wendy about the game, Devin exclusively told TheYBF.com about his Superbowl excitement saying......

Erica Campbell and her husband Warryn Campbell are the proud parents of baby Zaya Monique Campbell.  In a statement, the singer said,

“...feeling so thankful and so blessed to have our sweet Zaya finally make her grand entrance into the world! God is awesome, our family couldn't be more happy than we are today!”

Zaya Monique was born at a healthy 6lbs, 12 oz and will be appearing on Mommy's new self titled WE tv reality series which starts on Thursday, March 29th at 10pm ET/PT.

With “Turn Up the Music,” the second single from his upcoming Fortune album, Chris Brown heads to the dance floor with a  track, written and produced by The Underdogs, that's sure to become a springtime jam. It's got an electro-house beat for you dance lovers.

Jason Derulo has announced that he is dating singer Jordin Sparks.....and it was his tragic accident a few weeks ago that spurred on the admission.

Jason fractured his neck during a dance routine and was nearly paralyzed recently, and now during his healing phase, he's decided to talk about his love life.

"We are together. She lives in Phoenix and she comes [to Miami] and takes care of me, brings me breakfast in bed and she'll go on walks with me. We've gotten closer because of my accident. It's awesome to have someone you can talk to and she's a wonderful person."

And speaking of recovery, he says,

"I'm taking it one day at a time. It's been really eye opening. It's given me a chance to look at everything and realize how blessed I truly am."

The -ish just got real between Evelyn and Jennifer and "BBW" hasn't even started up yet!  Jen recently revealed the "very" petty reasons she and her former friend don't talk anymore and Evelyn LASHED out calling her insecure and saying she wants to be a white girl!  Deets inside.....

We revealed to you earlier that Evelyn Lozada and Jennifer Williams will indeed have a big falling out on camera this season on "BBW" and now little details about the basis of the beef as leaking out. And it's VERY childish.

So why are they beefing?  Jennifer told S2S that Evelyn is upset because she's friends with Real Housewives of Atlanta star Nene Leakes and Mashonda.

"Let me tell you what she’s mad over ‘cause this always comes up. She hates the fact that I’m really good friends with Nene [Leakes] and she hates the fact that me and Mashonda are good friends. I feel like it’s all coming from a place of hurt, and she’s turning it into anger. Why do you care who I’m friends with? Like, that’s ridiculous," Jen explains. "I live in New York. You live in Miami. I don’t care who you hang out with. I’m kinda over it because I just feel like I’m at a point at my life where I’m trying to get rid of negative energy. To me, I feel like it’s something so minuscule. It’s not like I slept with Chad. It’s not something irreparable. It’s something stupid that you’re mad over. If you really are mad because I have other friends, I think that’s completely ridiculous.”

Evelyn was NOT HAPPY when she heard about this. She took to Twitter and unleashed a vicious rant (it was so bad that Chad had to jump in!).

Boom!  The comment about the purple contacts had to hurt!
