Oh...there you are Mr. D'Angelo. It's been over 11 years and 2 U.S. Presidents since we've seen D'Angelo perform live....or barely anywhere in public for that matter. But he kicked off his European D-Tour last night in Stockholm, Sweden. Video inside...

In his first live performance since the 2000 Voodoo Tour, D'Angelo played to Sweden's capital last night...rocking long braids and swole arms (remember when his fitness instructor said they've been in the gym constantly?).

He was joined by his drummer Chris Dave and frequent collaborator Pino Palladino for last night's show--which he seemed ecstatic to be performing.  And his next stops are Copenhagen, Paris, Amsterdam, London, Oslo, Zurich, and Hamburg.  And Questlove says D's upcoming album we've been waiting forever for, James River, is "97% done."

Rihanna, who was spotted chillin' courtside at the Clippers game last night in L.A., just signed on as executive producer of a new fashion competition show set in the UK.  Inside, get deets about the show and find out what she said about people hating on her new "Thug Life" tattoo.  Plus Jennifer Hudson's fiance David Otunga finally using his law degree...

Rihanna is set to executive produce an as-yet-untitled fashion competition show that will air on the Sky Living channel in Britain. The show will be hosted by Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts and will include appearances by Rihanna.

On Sky Living's website, Rihanna said,

"I've always had a great love of fashion. It's a constant source of inspiration in my life, and is a big reason why I've grown into the person and artist I am today. I have been very fortunate to work with some truly amazing designers and stylists throughout my career, and they have been instrumental in making sure my creative vision reaches the stage. I am excited to follow the journey of our aspiring contestants and see how their individuality influences their efforts during the course of the show."

Sources say the show will mimic "Project Runway" with designers creating a unique stage outfit for Rihanna's performance at the Wireless festival in Hyde Park, England, in July.

And about that tattoo......

When folks got on Twitter blasting Rih for getting a "Thug Life" tattoo on her knuckles, she blasted back and let them know she will do as she damn well pleases.

She tweeted,

David Otunga (the Harvard-law educated baby daddy of Jennifer Hudson) made a triumphant return to the courtroom recently.  Could you imagine this dude as your lawyer after you just saw all his ish in some speedos?

Taking time out from his successful WWE gig, Harvard Law grad David was in court yesterday representing a man in a wrongful termination suit at the NY State Department of Labor. And David clearly body slammed the competition as he won the case and got his client his unemployment benefits.

David tweeted,

"Just made my return to the courtroom. Smoked a witness on cross-exam, sustained objections to other lawyer, and won the case for my client."

And showing off his cocky side, he added,

"If the outcome of the case is any indication of how I'll do in the Royal Rumble this weekend, then it looks like I'll be the winner."

SIDEBAR: He took the case pro bono.

Former Spice Girl and new Jenny Craig spokeswoman Mel B was spotted in LA yesterday rocking a shorter, funkier haircut.  Come inside and decide if we love it...

With her LA mansion on the market and a planned move to Australia reportedly on the horizon, Mel B debuted a new haircut yesterday.  While shopping it up at Chanel, the mother of 3 rocked a blue jumpsuit with a peek-a-boo lace bra and a woven tan bag.  Looks like she wanted to go from uber long flowing tresses to shoulder-length and choppy.

EBONY.com: You recently got caught up in a nasty rumor with Kobe Bryant, that you were somehow the reason for his marriage ending after you two were seen in the same VIP section at Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch the Throne concert. I have to say I absolutely loved your response to the rumor on Twitter. [Sanaa tweeted: "Anybody who pays attention knows I’m not his type… Blank stare. #blackgirlsrock #dontbelievethelies"]

Sanaa: I probably shouldn’t have said that because I don’t discriminate when it comes to dating. I have dated all races and I believe you should be free to do whatever you want. But I was so annoyed because I was having such a great time at the concert and Kobe happen to be standing next to me, and then all of a sudden I was tied to his break-up. That’s absurd, and I tweeted that in the moment, and I regret it. But to each its own. It’s just funny that if it’s written people believe it, and even though I have said I have nothing to do with him, people are still saying when the baby is due?

And on the Best Man 2 status:

"Nothing has been confirmed yet regarding Best Man 2, but it is a great script that we have all read. It’s all on the studio and them deciding to do it.  I know a lot of people are excited and anticipating the movie, but we all just have to cross our fingers and hopefully it will all come together. Everyone in the cast is excited and on board, and I think people will be really pleasantly entertained to see where these characters have evolved over the twelve years."

But she has another movie already in the works:

"I have Vipaka, but they are thinking about changing the title. It’s a physiological thriller with Forest Whitaker and Anthony Mackie. We shot it in New Orleans last August. It’s scary, sexy and tense. They are still editing it, so I’m not really sure when it will be out."

Halle Berry is putting her laid back and casual yet sexy style to good use.  She's giving other ladies the chance to look like her...well, at least their feet will.

Halle, who juggles being an actress and mom to 3-year-old Nahla, loves to keep it comfy.  And now she's teamed up with popular German retailer Deichmann Shoes to create her own shoe designs.  The Revlon spokeswoman did a fab private shoot in Germany this week to showcase her '5th Avenue by Halle Berry' collection:

In the commercial, we'll see Halle getting caught up in changing her outfits and shoes in her dressing room even though she's late to her film set.

The shoes are mostly and relatively low-heeled, wedged, and comfy but with a stylish edge moms of little ones could definitely appreciate.  Halle said about her creations:

"Women have always loved shoes. It's like if your hair is not right and your shoes are not right, the woman is not right.  If both of them are right, you're pretty much OK."

She continued:

"And shoes are a statement. They can be very sexy; they can say something about where you are in the day; they can say what your mood is; they give you a chance to accessorize.  And I'm a girl that loves to change my shoes all the time. It's an expression of who you are really. I'm a girl if I find a shoe that I really like I like to get them in all colours. I'm big on that."

What's her personal faves?  The 45-year-old Hollywood star revealed:

"I would say I'm a nude girl because this goes with everything. You can dress it up and dress it down.  I can't think of any girl who wouldn't want her name on a brand of shoes. I think that's pretty cool."
 

Halle's spring/summer range of 40 limited edition shoes will boast peep toes with wedge heels, mid-heeled sandals with straps and mid and high-heeled sling sandals on wedge heels.

The Mun2 Network has produced an interesting original documentary exploring what it means to be "Black And Latino" in America.  And it's featuring some of our fave YBF celebs.  Watch Laz Alonso, Christina Milian, and Tatyana Ali talk about their controversial experiences inside......

On a new original web documentary called "Black and Latino," celebs like Laz Alonso (Jumping the Broom), Tatyana Ali ("Fresh Prince of Bel Air"), Christina Milian ("Dip it Low") and journalist Soledad O'Brien discussed their experiences and the complexities of race in the Latino community.  They speak on everything from defining themselves to hair to learning to please everyone.

And during a recent interview with Huff Post Black Voices, actor Laz Alonso also revealed plans to start producing his own movies.  And why he's not going to have Latinos playing African American roles and vice versa. Here are the highlights.....

How important would you consider your role in the "Black and Latino" project?

For me it was really important to participate in the documentary because being Black and being Latin is something that at times I have to explain in my entire life how you can be both. And a lot of people think that you can be either one or the other because they don't understand that race & ethnicity are two different things. You can be both. The same way that Latins can be Black & Latin is the same way you can be Black and Jamaican, or Black and British, or Black and Canadian. It doesn't mean that you're not Black. So for me it was really a great opportunity to participate in this.

Has the question inspired your form of expression in any way as an actor?

I think it inspires my form of expression on and off the film set. I feel like there are many different forms of expression. You express yourself verbally, you express yourself non-verbally. And there are a lot of influences that affect a person's performance. So I like to draw from both my African-American influences as well as my Latin influences and add color to whatever characters that I may be playing. But at the same time, I have to be authentic. So if the character is just straight African-American I'm not going to add any Latino or vice versa. But, when it comes to the vibe and the swag that I bring, I bring a little bit of both worlds. Which I feel at times can help separate me from the rest of my peers.

Moving forward to this year, are there any projects that you're currently working on? What's the status of your film with Chris Brown, "Planet B-Boy"?

We actually wrapped "Planet B-Boy." I'm really excited about a film that I co-wrote with my writing partner Rafael Riera. It's a film that takes place in Haiti right after the earthquake. But once again, they're Black and they're Haitian. It's a story that I'm very passionate about telling and it's just a heartfelt story. If you think of something along the lines of "Hotel Rwanda" and "Man on Fire." It's that type of heartfelt, third-world story about what's going on over there..

Scheduled for a February 2012 release, the tape will feature Wayne Wonder, Maino, Rodney Jerkins, French Montana, Shakespeare and Yung Chris. Like a diary, the mixtape with document her life and be an expression of who she is in different areas. 

Swizz Beatz is rocking a new look--bald and chill.  He was spotted shopping in Hawaii with wife Alicia Keys and son Egypt Daud Dean today.  And we've got pics of the cute family inside...

After all the Megaupload drama, Swizzy booked it to Hawaii with his fam for some downtime.  And he's got a newly shaved head to boot.

The trio--dressed down in tanks and tees --hit up a shopping center to cop Egypt a few toys.  And Alicia and Swizzy kept it cutesy locking arms and looking pretty happy.

During a recent "BBW" taping, Evelyn Lozada's assistant struck Jennifer Williams in the face.....and the cops were called! Deets inside....

The Evelyn/Jennifer drama is getting uglier and uglier and now the cops are invovled!

During a "BBW" day of filming at Gulf Stream Race Track in Hallandale, FL last Saturday, Jennifer Williams had a fight with Nai Crooks (Evelyn's assistant).

It turns out, Nai ALSO used to work for Jennifer and things reached a boiling point.  According to sources, during a confrontation, Nai PUSHED Jennifer in the face to get her away.

In the police report, is says Jennifer was "intentionally struck by Crooks with an open hand to the left side of her face."

The officer said he saw no injuries on Jen but told her she could file a misdemeanor complaint with the state attorney’s office.

Hmmm....wonder was this captured on film?  And if so....is Shaunie REALLY gonna show this -ish?

Today at the City of Refuge in Gardena, California, Etta James' family and friends laid her to rest witht he Rev. Al Sharpton presiding.

Christina Aguilera is causing all kinds of uproar around the net for not only killing "At Last," but for having a mystery liquid running down her leg that many are saying is the cause of her getting her period during the ceremony.  Not saying it's completely unlikely--but cold it have just been a cut she got after maybe bumping into something while walking on to the stage?  Who knows....

"The Voice" star said about her performance to CNN:

"I went through the lyrics last night, and I did rehearsal … and it took on a whole new meaning having been invited by her close friends and family to sing that classic song at her service," she said. "And I started crying every time I started to sing it, and I thought, 'My gosh, what if that happens tomorrow? I just want to do justice to Etta James.' She meant the whole world to me, and it was a huge honor to be here today."

Today, Oprah Winfrey celebrates her 58th birthday.  Come inside and celebrate the postive impact she's had on the lives of many...

It was a huge year for Oprah.  Though her network got off to a slow start, she did end 25 years of her legendary talk show that turned many authors, inventors and ordinary people into millionaires and celebrities. 

Putting phrases and words like "A Ha Moment," "walking in your truth," and "emotional integrity" into the everyday lexicon, she's helped shaped the way we live, think and speak.

Not bad for a little black girl from Mississippi.  In the words of Maya Angelou from the last "Oprah" show....

"Oprah....loving....giving....caring. Oprah! Oprah! Oprah!"

Odd Future member Frank Ocean just released a mellow-dramatic track called "Voodoo." Listen inside....
