Over the weekend, champion equestrian Paige Johnson, wed insurance broker Dudley Payne III at the Ocean Club in the Bahamas. The wedding took place on Saturday as part of a four-day celebration that began with a rehearsal dinner Thursday. On Friday, the couple had a beach party, and on Saturday, over 200 guests attended their lavish ceremony and reception.
R&B star Ne-Yo sang Elton John’s“Your Song” for the couple’s first dance and guests danced to songs spun by DJ Cassidy at the reception. And on Sunday, the newlyweds hosted a farewell brunch.
Father-of-the-Bride, Bob Johnson (shown above), the co-founder of BET, spoke highly of his son-in-law, telling the Washington Post,“This guy is the perfect guy for Paige. He’s a true gentleman.” He added, “They’re both intensively competitive in their chosen fields.”
Paige, who walked the aisle in a Monique Lhullier gown, has been a competitive equestrian rider since age 5 and was included in a 2012 Town & Country cover story on heiresses of the horse world.
