The 44th NAACP Image Awards were held tonight in LA and "Scandal" stars Kerry Washington & Tony Goldwyn joined Halle Berry, Jamie Foxx and Don Cheadle for the glammed up event. See the pics inside....
The simply stunning Kerry Washington and some of Hollywood's finest actors came out to support the 44th NAACP Image Awards at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California.
Her beautiful baby pink and mint green gown was from the Oscar de la Renta 2013 RTW Collection.
During the show, Kerry won the award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture for Django Unchained.
And Kerry also picked up awards for outstanding actress in a drama series for "Scandal," and the much deserved President's Award, which is given in recognition of special achievement and exceptional public service.
The natve New Yorker Kerry brought out her proud parents Valerie Washington and Earl Washington.
"Scandal" creator Shonda Rhimes was all smiles and so proud of her cast.
"Scandal" castmates Jeff Perry, Katie Lowes, Bellamy Young and Tony Goldwyn posed together. On a SCANDAL sidenote--We no longer trust Cyrus, want Quinn to get kidnapped again if at all possible, have learned a new gangsta "induce labor to keep a man" move form the First Lady, and learned just how much a man hopelessly in love will (stupidly) give up for the woman of his dreams.
"Scandal" star Tony Goldwyn posed with Judy White (the real life Olivia Pope).
"Cloud Atlas" star Halle Berry was among the A-list presenters for the evening.
She rocked a Vivienne Westwood‘s Ball Tie Dress in black voile satin with champagne voile satin beneath her neckline. And looked effortlessly fab while doing so.
She posed with Gladys Knight. And during the show, Gladys performed a moving version of "Memories" for all the stars who died in 2012.
And Ms. Berry even took the time to sign a few autographs. Sweet.
Don Cheadle won the award for Oustanding Actor in a Comedy Series for "House of Lies" as he posed with his long time significant other.
"Django Unchained" star Jamie Foxx closed out the broadcast singing Fred Hammond's "No Weapon" in honor of the film. And got pretty choked up while accepting his award.
He arrived with his gorgeous daughter Corinne Bishop.
Keke Palmer kept it cute in a dress by Naven, black sandals by Zigi NY, a Judith Leiber clutch, & jewelry by Neil Lane.
Sidney Poitier presented Harry Belafonte the Spingarn Award honoring outstanding achievement by an African American. And y'al can only guess how Sidney's speech went. Gotta love him though.
Actress Garcelle Beauvais rocked a strapless hot pink J. Mendel gown that she pulled off nicely,
LL Cool J arrived with wife Simone and won for best actor in a drama series.
"Second Generation Wayans" star Tatyana Ali was there in a printed puple and black cap sleeved gown.
Kristoff St. John arrived with wife Allana Nadal. He won the award for Outstanding Actor in a Daytime Drama Series for his long time work in "Young & The Restless".
David and Tamela Mann were a cute pair. We love David's two toned suit. Work it pops.
Wendy Raquel Robinson showed off her toned physique in a hot pink deep V gown with embellished shouldes.
Actor Dennis Haysbert provided voice overs throughout the show. With his still sexy self.
Part of Mindless Behavior was there.
In case you hadn't heard, "The Boondocks" creator Aaron McGruder is using Kickstarter to fund an Uncle Ruckus film. So, of course, a real like Uncle Ruckus had to hit the carpet. WHYYYY.
The Hunger Games actress and budding fashionista Amandla Stenberg wore a cutesy white dress. Perfect look for her. Loves it.
"House of Payne" actress China Anne McClain represented for young Hollywood.
Legendary actress Alfre Woodard stars in the upcoming film Twelve Years a Slave.
"For Better Or Worse" star Michael Jai White is working on the upcoming film Repeater.
BET Networks Vice President of Talent and Casting Robi Reed was there.
Singer Ziggy Marley was there with his wife Orly.
Hottie actor Lance Gross (wearing a DSquared2 Tailored Suit) arrived with girlfriend Rebecca Jefferson. We're loving her embellished gown too. It pays to be boo'd up with a stylist.
Loretta Devine was chosen for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for "Grey's Anatomy."
Umm....Does Auntie Loretta have a Newport in her purse?
The "other" Vanessa Williams rocked a gold one shoulder dress and looked fab.
CNN contributor Roland Martin was there finally in an acceptable look.
Mario Van Peebles brought along his son Mandela Van Peebles.
"Grey's Anatomy" star Chandra Wilson walked the red carpet.
"Y&R" soap star Angell Conwell wore a beaded and chiffon black gown. And yes, we love it.
The OMG Girlz put on a colorful spectacle.
"The Soul Man" star Niecy Nash showed off her bod in a curve hugging black draped one shoulder dress.
Actor Tyler James Williams was there. He's growing up to be a cutie.
Tristan Wilds flashed his pearly whites and accepted an award for his work in Red Tails.
And Flight star Gloria Reuben wore a flowing canary gown for an eye popping look. Fabulous.
BONUS:
Kerry Washington, who stars in two of Hollywood's most talked about sensations, "Scandal" and Django Unchained, was presented the President's Award at the 44th Annual NAACP Image Awards last night by the President and CEO of the NAACP Benjamin Todd Jealous and legendary screen star Diahann Carroll. Kerry was presented the award in honor of her political activism and humanitarian work.
During her speech, Kerry drew comparisons between the "stories" of her most famous characters, Olivia Pope and Broomhilda, while touting the importance of inclusivity and human rights. She ended by saying she stands on the shoulders of artists and activists like Harry Belafonte (whom was also honored during the show) who blazed the trail before her.
