Switching it up! Chloe Bailey continues her ultimate entertainment takeover with a new role in Will Packer’s upcoming film, Praise This. More inside….
After serving up a healthy dose of seductive vibes in her “Treat Me” music video, Chloe Bailey is set to change things up a bit in a new acting role.
The 23-year-old actress is set to flex her acting chops in the upcoming film Praise This, produced by Will Packer and directed by Tina Gordon (LITTLE) for Universal Pictures.
Deadline has the deets:
Praise This is a music-competition feature comedy set in the world of youth choirs. We hear that Universal is eyeing it for a potential franchise in the vein of Pitch Perfect, with production on the first installment set to kick off in Atlanta in June. Gordon penned the latest draft of the script, which was based off an original idea by The Story Company. Earlier drafts were written by Camilla Blackett (Little, New Girl) and Brandon Broussard, Hudson Obayuwana and Jana Savage—the trio otherwise known as Murder Ink.
The new role brings us back to the time Beyonce - Chloe’s mentor - starred in Fighting Temptations, which Chloe starred in as a child actress. She’s not new to the acting game, most recently starring in “Grown-ish” alongside her sister Halle Bailey.
Next, the “Have Mercy” singer will star in Miramax’s supernatural thriller The Georgetown Project, with Russell Crowe and Ryan Simpkins.
Sis is set to have the music and movie industry on lock and we’re here for it.
