Blue Ivy Wasn’t Too Sure If Acting Was Grandma Tina Lawson’s 'Thing' At First, But She Won Her Over

It be your own grandchildren! Tina Knowles Lawson stars in a new LIFETIME film alongside Destiny’s Child singer Michelle Williams. While preparing for the role, Tina’s granddaughter, Blue Ivy, hit her with some unfiltered constructive criticism as she helped her rehearse her lines.

Find out what she said inside….

Over the years, Tina Knowles Lawson has reinvented herself from hair stylist, to fashion designer to businessman - she has always been booked and busy.

And one thing about Mrs. Lawson, she isn’t afraid to take risks, no matter how nerve-racking they may be.

The 68-year-old, who is the mother of Beyonce & Solange, stopped by “Tamron Hall” to dish about her new role in LIFETIME’s upcoming drama Wrath: A Seven Deadly Sins Story alongside Destiny’s Child star MichelleWilliams.

When the part came about, she said it was rather sudden, however, she knew it was something she wanted to try. At the time, the people closest to her that could help her rehearse her lines were busy. The usual folks she would call up to help her - which includes her husband/actor RichardLawson and her “daughter” KellyRowland - were busy, so her 20-year-old granddaughter, Blue Ivy, stepped in to help. And let’s just say she gave Grandma Tina the REAL.

”If it [the script] says 'is not' and I say 'isn’t,' she says, ’No, I don’t know if this is for you.’ She told me that several times. I was like ‘Thank you, Blue for making me really insecure,’” she joked.“But, she wanted me to get the lines perfect. She helped me, and then Michelle helped me go over the lines on the set."

HA! Too funny.
