Cardi B scored a victory in the defamation lawsuit she filed against YouTuber Tasha K, who she sued for starting rumors that she contracted STIs and was on drugs. And the Bronx rapper is laughing all the way to the bank to the tune of $1.25 million and possibly more.

Deets inside…

Cardi B is ELATED after nabbing a huge victory in federal court today.

Last week, the “WAP” raptress (real name Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar) took the stand in a federal court in Georgia to testify against Tasha K (real name Latasha Kebe) for alleged defamatory posts she posted online. The 29-year-old entertainer told the jury she felt “extremely suicidal” and “helpless” as horrible rumors about her began to spread, causing her to develop anxiety, fatigue and migraines.

In 2018 and 2019, Tasha K posted YouTube videos for her nearly 1 million subscribers making claims that Cardi was a prostitute and that she had contracted multiple sexual transmitted diseases.

After over a week of deliberations, a judge found Tasha K liable on three separate claims. As a result, the judge ordered Tasha K to pay the Grammy Award winner $1.25 million in general damages and $250k for medical expenses. Sheesh!

Before heading to court today, Tasha K shared a picture of herself posing it up outside the court room:

After taking the “L” in court, Tasha took to Twitter to let her fan base (whom she calls Whinos) know it’s only “up from here.”

"My Husband, Attorney’s, & I fought really hard," she tweeted."I want to thank them for their long hours and sleepless nights. Winos it’s only up from here. See y’all in a few days. Back to work.”

Someone uploaded a video of Tasha K, her husband and her lawyer (although its unclear when it was taken) and they didn’t want any parts of the foolishness:

You’ll recall, Bardi took the stand and detailed how she felt like taking her own life after the rumors Tasha K made up started circulating.

”I wanted to commit suicide over the things" Tasha was saying about her. "I felt like only a demon could do that s**t,” Cardi said before apologizing to the judge for cursing.

Reminiscing on that dark time in her life caused her to break down in tears as she explained how she felt like taking her own life.

The Grammy winning rapper filed the libel lawsuit against Tasha K in 2019. Cardi’s legal team alleged Tasha K used her YouTube channel to "spread malicious rumors, slanderous assertions, and false information about celebrities" for financial gain.

This could be a turning point. We wouldn't be surprised if more celebs start suing folks for completely made up stories about them and being unapologetic about not taking them down...
