Issa Rae made her “Saturday Night Live” debut last night and it got Kanye West all in his feels. Peep his response inside…

Highkey funny and controversial AF!

A nervous, but excited, Issa Rae made her “Saturday Night Live” debut last night. And during her monologue, she compared the monumental moment in her career to “prom.” Prom, you ask?

Almost exactly four years ago, Issa’s hit HBO series “Insecure” debuted right before the 2016 presidential election. She said working on her hit show has been like high school and “SNL” became her prom last night.

She subtly joked about the notion “all black people look alike,” dubbing herself Mary J. Blige. She also lied to the audience – “I’m the first Black person to host SNL y’all,” she said as the crowd clapped and cheered in excitement. Then, she said she was lying and joked about how half of the audience wouldn’t even notice if she kept lying to them during the rest of the show.

The Golden Globe nominated actress was featured in several skits, but one of them caught the attention of Kanye West. She appeared in a political sketch called "Your Voice Chicago” about local politics.

”I’m voting for everybody black,” Issa’s character said, which is a reference to one of Issa’s iconic red carpet moments. “Representation matters!”

You’ll recall, Issa told Variety she was “rooting for everybody black” at the EMMYs in 2017 when asked who she wanted to win.

"For too long, our people's voices have not been heard. It's our duty to stand together and take our power back,” Issa’s character continued.

At the end of the discussion, the skit's host (Kenan Thompson) told the audience, "When we come back, we'll talk about the presidential race between Donald Trump, Joe Biden, and Kanye West."

”Kanye?! F him!,” Issa’s character responded. And we’re not entirely sure if that was improvised or not. Peep the clip below:

Ye caught wind of her comments and hopped on Twitter today to respond.

”Ive always said SNL uses black people to hold other black people back,” Kanye tweeted. “My heart goes out to Issa Rae I’m praying for her and her family I know that the twenty years of service that I’ve paid in the entertainment field has furthered our ability to be more successful.”

So he "has always said SNL uses black people", but was happy as hell when he performed on the show in 2018?

“[I] had so much fun at SNL. Lorne agreed that I would host before the year is out. Need to set a date. Gonna be sooooooooo lit. In the words of Lil Pump ...Esskeetit !,” he tweeted.

Oh.

By the way, Justin Bieber was the musical guest and he brought out Chance The Rapper for "Holy."

Fab job!
