A Girls Trip sequel is in the works, according to stars Regina Hall and Jada Pinkett Smith. Speaking of movies, Chance The Rapper and Zazie Beetz are starring in a new monster movie together. In TV news, Niecy Nash will be gracing the late night talk show scene. Deets inside...

The Flossy Posse is coming back! And we know this because Regina Hall AND Jada Pinkett Smith said so.

Girls Trip ended up becoming Summer 2017's biggest movie to hit the box office. And they're looking for another box office takeover.

Regina Hall has confirmed she will reunite with Jada Pinkett Smith, Queen Latifah and Tiffany Haddish for another round of shenanigans

While chatting with BuzzFeed News' AM to DM, Regina confirmed once all of the ladies can get their busy schedules synced, they'll be returning for a Girls Trip sequel.

“We’re trying to make that happen," she spilled. "We’re trying to get everything together with the schedule. I think they’re working on something. I don’t know where we’re going. I don’t know where the girls are going, but… we’re going somewhere. The girls are coming back!”

Check it:

Girls Trip secured the bag during its opening weekend with a $30M opening! Not only did the flick make back its budget plus some (it was $20M), but it came it at an impressive number 2 after the blockbuster flick Dunkirk, which raked in $50.5M with a $100M budget.

The appreciatively raunchy flick also nabbed an A+ CinemaScore, which is definitely a rare occurrence for any comedy.

The comedy also made history as the first film starring, directed, produced and written by African-Americans to reach the $100 million mark! Woot!

Following Regina's confirmation, Jada Pinkett Smith also hinted at a sequel, posting a composite of a potential Girls Trip 2 poster:

Looks like it's safe to say the Flossy Posse will be bringing more #BlackGirlJoy in our lives.

Speaking of new movies...

Rapper Chance the Rapper and "Atlanta" star Zazie Beetz are gearing up to go monster hunting in a brand new horror film titled Slice.

The Chi-town rapper will be making his acting debut in the film, starring opposite of Emmy-nominated actress Zazie Beetz. They'll star as two survivors who set out to catch the werewolves (or other supernatural beings) that are responsible for the town’s pizza delivery boys killing spree and devoiding them of delicious pie, according to Deadline.

Interesting.

Peep the trailer above. No release date has been announced just yet, but we'll keep you posted.

In TV news...

The Niecy Nash TV takeover is about to go down!

Chick has been killing it on TNT's hit series "Claws." And now, she's about to get her feet wet in the late night talk show realm. According to Variety, TNT has ordered a pilot for a late night series starring Niecy Nash as the host of her own talk show. She'll executive produce as well.

The working title is "Naked With Niecy Nash" where she'll cover topics such as love, sex, romance and relationships with everyday people.

"Blessings on Blessings!," Niecy gushed on Instagram. "#StayTuned Love. Sex. Relationships. Matchmaking. Late night & Me #NakedwithNiecyNash"

If the series gets picked up, it would mark the first late-night series in TNT’s history. Yep. A BLACK woman will have done that!

The "Claws" actress would also be one of only two female late-night hosts on network TV. The other being Samantha Bee, who hosts “Full Frontal” on fellow Turner network TBS.

“I’m so excited to add my voice to the late-night landscape,” the working wife and mom said. “Love is the thing we were created for but it’s also the place we struggle the most… until now! This is going to be a fun and sexy ride! TNT is the perfect partner for me in this endeavor! Adding an experienced and amazing executive producer and showrunner like Sue Murphy to this mix was the cherry on top.”

Yasssss! Y'all ready for this?
