Colin Kaepernick’s mother shared a tribute to her son that has us tearing up during VH1’s “Dear Mama” event. See the touching clip, plus flicks of Zendaya, Yara Shahidi, Naomi Campbell and more at Tiffany & Co.’s “Paper Flowers” event inside…
It’s almost that time of year again where we shower our mothers with love and gratitude for everything they do.
Right before Mother’s Day, VH1 hosted its annual “Dear Mama: A Love Letter to Moms” event to honor mothers with celebrity guests paying tribute to the women who have shaped their success. “black-ish” actress Anthony Anderson returned as host for the third time alongside “Power” star LaLa Anthony for the celebration of motherhood inside The Theatre at Ace Hotel in downtown L.A.
Former NFL baller Colin Kaepernick hit the stage to honor his mom Teresa Kaepernick during the event, however, Teresa turned the tables with a heartfelt message to her courageous son.
The NFL mom shared with the audience how she much admires her son’s caring and patient spirit. She showered him with praise and made sure he knew she appreciates his selfless acts, putting his dreams on hold for the greater good.
“You were kind and patient with those who needed help since the time you were a very young child and you’ve always been very persistent and tenacious in pursuit of anything that you desired, but I admire that trait in you as well because it’s what took you to fulfillment of your dream to be an NFL quarterback,” she told her son.
“When you see injustice in this world, you are not the kind of man who sits back and hopes that someone else will deal with it even though it may mean sacrificing your dreams,” she concluded.
Aww!

Come through high fashion!

Tiffany & Co.’s artistic director Reed Krakoff (above) threw the soiree to celebrate his first jewelry line for the brand, dubbed "Paper Flowers." And the decor certainly fit the theme. Paper flowers were everywhere.

Today, Yara is hosting a panel with former Teen Vogue editor Elaine Welteroth at the United State of Women Summit in L.A. today.
Rapper ASAP Ferg, who is featured in Tiffany’s latest ad campaign alongside actress Elle Fanning, hit the stage to perform a modern day spin on “Moon River,” the theme from Breakfast at Tiffany’s with Elle.
Runway stunna Naomi Campbell showed off in a SUKEINA ensemble. We feelin' it?
Designer Dapper Dan, who recently partnered up with Gucci, was also in the mix.
Singer Justine Skye posed it up in HELMUT LANG threads accessorized with an Alexander Wang bag.
