f you remember the show "Rob & Big" back in the late 2000's, you remember Christopher "Big Black" Boykin. He and his partner-in-crime Rob Dyrdek got into all types of crazy scenarios together to solidify themselves as the comedic powerhouse duo for the millenials.
In unfortunate news, Big Black died Tuesday morning from an unknown cause of death. He was 45. TMZ reports:
His rep tells us Chris died Tuesday morning. No official cause of death yet, but multiple people connected to Chris tell us they believe it was a heart attack.
Incredibly sad news.
Big also appeared on Fantasy Factory, Ridiculousness and Guy Code.
Reportedly, he and Rob stopped speaking years ago after having a falling out over an unknown situation while filming during 2006-2008. But that didn't stop Rob from pouring out his heart on social media Tuesday evening.
MTV put out a heartfelt statement about the comedian saying:
"MTV is deeply saddened to learn the news of Christopher 'Big Black' Boykin's passing. He was a long time and beloved member of the MTV family and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends at this time."
Big's ex-wife, Shannon, also wrote on his Twitter account about she and their 9-year-old daughter, Isis, being heartbroken saying:
This is Shannon, Big Black's ex-wife, I'm heartbroken to tell you of Black's passing. He's everything to me and Isis and we will miss him
