They may be new to Hollywood, but they’ve been our faves for a while. Go inside to peep Janelle Monae and Aja Naomi King serving their beauty to Marie Claire magazine and what they said about climibing the Hollywood ladder and vagina power inside…

Marie Claire has a new class of fresh faces and our faves Janelle Monae and Aja Naomi King made the list.

While she’s already a force to reckoned with in the music industry, Janelle is taking Hollywood by storm. She made her acting debut in Moonlight and followed up with another extraordinary performance in Hidden Figures. And she’s on the hunt for her next Hollywood blockbuster.

The Wondaland honcho covers one of five covers for Marie Claire’s May 2017 issue. And of course it’s nothing short of gorgeousness.

Inside, the actress/activist dishes on women empowerment and how EVERYONE needs to start throwing some respect on the va-jay-jay.

"People have to start respecting the vagina. Until every man is fighting for our rights, we should consider stopping having sex. I love men. But evil men? I will not tolerate that. You don't deserve to be in my presence. If you're going to own this world and this is how you're going to rule this world, I am not going to contribute anymore until you change it. We have to realize our power and our magic. Because I am all about black-girl magic, even though I'm standing with all women. But this year? This year, I am so carefree black girl."

We're joining Janelle on her “carefree black girl” vibe this year.

Aja Naomi King became a household name starring in “How To Get Away With Murder,” starring opposite Viola Davis. Then, the Yale grad starred in Birth of a Nation, proving she can maneuver between television and film. Now, she’s on her way to take over Hollywood.

Opening up to the magazine, the 32-year-old actress revealed how other YBF starlets before her inspired her to not settle for less and to go after whatever role her heart desires.

"Maybe I'm outdated in thinking this, but because I'm a young black woman and don't see very many being the lead in a film, I have this fear, Will I be working? When I first started in this industry, my goal was to be some best friend. The sidekick. I thought that would be an accomplishment. But seeing people like Viola and Tracee Ellis Ross and Gabrielle Union and Lupita [Nyong'o]—who was two classes behind me at Yale—I can hope for more."

YES! You can hope and GET more. We believe in you.
