Since Nick Cannon publicly blasted “America’s Got Talent” and vowed to quit, the rumor mill has been working overdrive trying to predict who would replace him. There were three names originally in the mix, including comedians Marlon Wayans, Tone Bell and Disney star Brandon Mychal Smith.

Apparently, negotiations with Marlon Wayans fell through due to salary disagreements. Now, TMZ is reporting that Brandon Mychal Smith may be the next host of NBC’s talent competition show.

It’s reported the 27-year-old Get On Up actor is set to become the new host, but the deal still hasn’t gone all the way through. It’s said it could likely be confirmed within the next day or so.

Before this news made its way online, TMZ photogs caught up with Marlon, who has his own self-titled show coming to NBC, a few days ago and asked him about hosting the show. He seemed hesitant about the opportunity because he feels he may be “too black” for the gig.

“I don’t know if I can hold my tongue though. I heard it was because he [Nick Cannon] felt like they [AGT} wanted him to be less black and I’m like, ‘If they wanted YOU to be less black, I don’t know if they want to holla at me. That’s like getting Paul Mooney to host Sesame Street.”

Ha! Check out Marlon talking about the gig here.

YBF celebs appearing on “Dancing With The Stars” are gearing up for their dance battles.

Former wrestler Mr. T was spotted leaving a dance studio in Studio City with his partner Kym Johnson-Herjavec, sans his gold chains. He looks serious and like he's ready to rumble with his dance shoes.

While Mr. T put in work, another “DWTS” contestant was living it up with their partner. Olympic gold gymnast Simone Biles and her partner Sasha Farber made their way to the Toyota Center last night to watch the Houston Rockets go up against the Utah Jazz. It was Sasha’s first professional basketball game experience.

Of course, they had to test out the floor:

Simone's bestie Rachel also came out for the b'ball fun:

By the way, the Jazz beat the Rockets, 115-108.

Yesterday, the dancing duo revealed their team name:
