There’s a “Crime Watch Daily” update on former Hi-Five singer Russell Neal after he allegedly murdered his wife. More inside…
A few years ago, we told you former Hi-Five singer Russell Neal had been arrested for allegedly killing his wife Catherine Martinez after she was found dead inside their apartment. He was accused of beating and stabbing her to death.
Now, he’s claiming insanity. “Crime Watch Daily” is investigating the story and they reported Russell is currently being held in a mental institution. It’s said he’s only responding to the name “Jesus” and he’s currently awaiting a mental competency hearing.
“The only thing I recognized about her because she was so decomposed was her teeth,” Catherine’s mother Mary Figueroa tells Crime Watch Daily. “[He] wasn’t incompetent when [he]...was spending her money.”
Damn.
And here's another shocker. Russell’s younger brother Ronald did the EXACT same thing! He was arrested and charged in the murder of his wife Stovyne Neal in 2008. He tried to use an insanity plea as well, but ended up pleading guilty to murder and was sentenced to 80 years in prison.
Yikes.
