Back In August, Bishop Eddie Long shared details about his dramatic weight loss. And it appears, he wasn’t telling the whole truth. At the time, he said he had lost so much weight due to adopting a vegan diet, ditching the “slave menu.”
Now, the megachurch pastor is coming out with the real reason behind his transformation. He has been suffering health issues.
“I’ve been on a journey and just re-calibrating myself,” he said in a YouTube video where he’s speaking before his congregation during his pastoral anniversary on October 9th.
While he said he has fallen ill, he said God has already healed him.
“And like I said, I had some health issues and God has healed me," he said."The manifestation is coming through and we stand in that.”
The New Birth Missionary Baptist Church pastor never revealed exactly what health issues he’s currently battling. But after his confession, he launched a healing session at the alter for those in the congregation suffering chronic pain. He pulled out his oil and began praying for church members.
