For an unforgettable night of fashion, music and philanthropy, Holly Robinson Peete, her husband Rodney Peete produced the 18th Annual DesignCare event through their nonprofit organization, The HollyRod Foundation, to benefit those with autism Parkinson's disease.
Guests were invited to Sugar Ray Leonard’s estate in Pacific Palisades over the weekend for cocktails, a silent auction, a delicious buffet and a fashion show displaying Michael Costello designs.
The Peetes hit the carpet with their kids Robinson James Peete, Roman Peete, Ryan Elizabeth Peete, Rodney Peete Jr, and Holly’s mom Dolores Robinson. Beautiful family!
The gorgeous actress, wife, mom and advocate stunned on the purple carpet in a white lace Michael Costello gown with a train, exaggerated sleeves and a cut-out back. The dress fit her body like a glove showing off her curves. Werk!
Retired professional boxer Laila Ali, styling in a Jovani Fashion dress, and her husband, former NFLer Curtis Conway, came out to show their support and to celebrate the 18th year of the organization’s gala.
Los Angeles Clippers baller Chris Paul and his wife Jada Paul came out to show their support. The Chris Paul Family Foundation was awarded the HollyRod Angel on the Path Award.
Tisha Campbell-Martin and her son Xen Martin, who has autism, were also on the scene for the gala.
Recently, Tisha took to Instagram to share her son’s progress since being diagnosed with the autism. She wrote, “#reflecting #autism there was a time when he couldnt speak. There was a time he wasn't able to say; "momma," "ouch," let alone "I love you." There was a time when people clapping or the sounds of wave crashing on the shore were like Cymbals crashing in his ears. There was a time when he couldn't stand the touch of another human being. LaLa Antony joined her husband Carmelo Anthony in Vegas as he was tapped to host the 2016 USA Basketball Men's National Team Welcome dinner held at at Lakeside at Wynn Las Vegas on the eve of the men's basketball camp before the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.
LaLa was all about the cutouts and cleavage for the event. We see you La!
Before the dinner kicked off, Carmelo snapped a group shot with his USA teammates DeAndre Jordan, Kevin Durant, Demar DeRozan, Draymond Green, Kyle Lowry DeMarcus Cousins. Director of Domestic Marketing Encore Beach Club and Surrender Nightclub Jai ShaunWhite, LaLa’s brother Christian Vasquez, and Haute Living CEO and Publisher Kamal Hotchchandani were also in the mix.
