The ZENDAYA Barbie is finally here. And it’s everything we thought it would be. Come inside to pics of Daya’s new doll and the super fab YBF teen starlet inside….
One of our fave YBF chicks is being immortalized in Barbie form!
Disney starlet Zendaya has her own Barbie modeled after her gorgeous (and controversial) look at the 2015 Oscars. News broke last week that the 19-year-old would be joining Barbie Land, and now we have the first look.
Last night, Zendaya hit the carpet at the Barbie Rock 'n Royals concert experience benefiting VH1 Save The Music Foundation held at the Hollywood Palladium in L.A.
As she sashayed down the carpet, the teen sensation held up her iconic Barbie doll rocking the Vivienne Westwood dress she styled in at the Academy Awards. Not only that, Daya’s Barbie shows off her now controversial (thanks to Guiliana Rancic) faux locs. Loves it! What an inspiration to little girls everywhere.
You’ll recall the unfortunate comments E! News anchor Giuliana Rancic made about her hair while hosting “Fashion Police during the awards. Once Daya caught wind of her comments, she read Giuliana for FILTH honey. Recall it allHERE.
The “ZAPPED” star pulled off a super cute look in a white strapless sweatheart neckline MSGM frock decorated with red lips and red pumps.
And her face was beat to perfection. Gorgeous.
Zendaya took to her Instagram account to express how important her new Barbie is to little girls everywhere and how honored she is. She posted:
When I was little I couldn't find a Barbie that looked like me, my...how times have changed. Thank you @barbie for this honor and for allowing me to be apart of your diversification and expansion of the definition of beauty. Can't wait to keep doing amazing things with you #besuper
The creative designer behind the Zendaya Barbie, Carlyle Nuera, shared pics of the doll saying:
The @zendaya one-of-kind #Barbie! It was so much fun recreating this iconic look she wore at the Oscars, from the #fauxlocs originally done by @theshelbyswain to the @viviennewestwoodofficial gown! Mad love to the amazingly talented team at Mattel that I work with; sculptors, face painters, hair designers, patternmakers, seamstresses and more! Zendaya did say the Barbie's #babyhairs were #onfleek!
We LOVE it! The Barbie team also shared the gorgeous sketch recently, praising Zendaya for using her voice to stand up for girls everywhere.
Check out this beautiful sketch by our talented #Barbie designer @carlylenuera! We are so excited to honor @Zendaya with this one-of-a-kind doll as she encourages girls to Raise Their Voices and inspires us to #BeSuper. Be sure to join her at the Rock ’n Royals concert at the @hollywoodpalladium on 9/26! Get your tickets by clicking the link our bio. #BarbieOriginalArt
