YBF POLITICS: A'Shanti Gholar Knows Candidate Choices Are Often Wack, So Here's How She's Fixing That Through Candidate Incubator EMERGE

$
0
0

Natasha chops it up with Emerge President A'shanti Gholar about creating the candidates we NEED, instead of us just accepting the candidates hand picked by party establishments.

Just because you want better candidates that better reflect what you stand for doesn't mean you just don't participate in this election.  Still vote, even if you're doing so through clenched jaws.  But we're also all about preparing for the future and the now, too.

Candidate incubators, like Emerge, have recently popped up and have become what we think is the most innovative way to go against "the establishment."  These incubators have been grooming relatable, amazing women of color in various communities - who don't come into this as "politicians" - for high positions in government as well as local positions.  And they've been super successful on the progressive front getting their well prepped candidates elected in droves - like Ayanna Pressley and Lucy McBath.

We hear the complaints about there "not being a good candidate on any side" for virtually any position on the ballot.  We get it.  So, YBF women like A'shanti have stepped up to the plate - like Black women always do - to change that. We no longer HAVE to rely on the DNC or RNC Chairs to choose who they think is best to run for the party.  Candidates, whether they identify with those parties or as independents, can get backing, support and development resources from other places like Emerge, and actually WIN.

2020 is on par to have several more EMERGE candidates, now in the hundreds total, on ballots.  And many are on their way to a win this November.  It's a whole movement and it's impressive AF. Listen and/or watch above!

Follow A'shanti on Instagram and Emerge on Insta too.

Vote NOW and vote EARLY if your state allows it!  If not, show up at those polls on November 3rd. IwillVote.com has all the details for your state!

Some good news to take you into the weekend! It appears former NBA star Delonte West is taking steps to recover from drug addiction. More inside…

Looks some NBA folks made good on their word.

Thankfully, 2020 has brought us some good news. Ex-NBA star Delonte West seems to have taken the first step on his road to recovery and we’re loving every bit of it. There were reports that several people in the NBA had been trying to reach out to help Delonte after several videos of him seemingly strung out on drugs went viral on the Internet.  It was hard to see.

Mark Cuban – who owns the Dallas Mavericks and did so when Delonte played on the team – shared a picture of Delonte all smiles while horseback riding. Horseback therapy (also called Equine therapy or equine-assisted therapy (EAT), is a treatment that includes equine activities and/or an equine environment to promote human physical and mental health.

"Ladies & Gentlemen, I present to you, Delonte West," Mark captioned a photo of Delonte riding a horse. "A long, long, long way to go, but he has taken the first steps and shared these with all of us as a thank you for the love and support."

According to TMZ, the 37-year-old - who battled bipolar disorder during his eight NBA seasons - has checked into a treatment facility after Mark picked him up at a Dallas gas station last week. The billionaire revealed he was able to get Delonte to agree to treatment with the help of his mother and that things are going well so far. Woot!

The site reports:

Sources close to West told us the ex-NBA player entered Phase 1 of his recovery earlier this week -- detox -- and was "roughing it out" while getting all traces of drugs and alcohol out of his system.

West has received an outpouring of support in recent weeks ... with ex-MLB superstar Darryl Strawberry -- who battled his own substance abuse issues -- offering to work together to stay clean when he finishes his treatment.

It was previously reported Delonte’s former Boston Celtics head coach/Philadelphia 76ers head coach Doc Rivers, Delonte’s former college basketball teammate/former NBA player Jameer Nelson, former MLB player Darryl Strawberry, and the NBA had been actively trying to help him out, but were unsuccessful.

During his NBA career, Delonte has played for four NBA teams after being the 24th overall pick by the Boston Celtics. You'll recall, he played alongside LeBron James in Cleveland from 2007 - 2010, up until unconfirmed rumors circulated about Delonte being sexually involved with LeBron's mom, Gloria James. He signed a three-year $12.7 million contract with the Cavaliers in 2008. He also played in China for a while.

We’re ecstatic he’s getting help and getting healthier!

The Los Angeles Lakers are the NBA Bubble Kings! And Rihanna made sure to celebrate her favorite NBA player, LeBron James, winning another ring! Shirtless JR Smith made a comeback and Snoop Dogg served up all purple and gold for the win. Get it all inside…

Tough year. Unconventional season. Regardless of it all, the Los Angeles Lakers came out on top.

Sorry to the Miami Heat, but LeBron James and the Lakers proved to be the better team. And we know their angel, Kobe Bryant, is proud.

For the first time since Kobe Bryant’s fifth and final title win (over a decade ago), the Lakers took hope the NBA Championship after defeating the Miami Heat, 106 – 93, in Game 6. The Lakers became the Kings of the NBA Bubble where they were forced to stay in a well-controlled atmosphere in Orlando due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

King James scored 28 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists. This is King James’ fourth NBA Title and he copped the win against the team he was on when he won his first NBA Title. This is the Lakers 17th NBA Title.

LeBron called his mom, Gloria James, after the win:

Rihanna is a huge LeBron James fan, so it came to no surprise she was turnt up last night. The Bajan beauty celebrated the Lakers’ victory with her friends, singing, dancing and shading the Heat. In a video she posted on her IG, the pop princess – decked out in a purple Kobe Bryant jersey and cut-up denim - and her homies, including Jenn Rosales, sung along to “We Are The Champions.” She showed love to King James, Kobe Bryant and Lakers baller Anthony Davis.

”if you ain’t on this time right now...bye,” she captioned the video. “Lebron remains king Lakers are the champs and Kobe is proud A.D thank you! # #Congratulations”

After winning his 2nd NBA Title, JR Smith went…shirtless, of course. It’s his signature move now. You’ll recall, he took his shirt off the entire summer after his NBA Title win in 2016 with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

This win meant more to the franchise than most as the win comes the same year as the tragic death of Lakers legends Kobe Bryant. The NBA icon lost his life in a helicopter accident on January 26th. He died with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna Bryant and seven others.

Kobe’s wife, Vanessa Bryant, congratulated the Lakers with a heartfelt post after the Lakers’ win:

vblakerswin

Former Lakers baller and Kobe’s close friend Pau Gasol took to Twitter after the game to share his excitement for the team, writing, “This one is for you brother, for you Gianna, for you Vanessa, for Natalia, for Bianka and for Capri.”

Of course, Lakers lover Snoop Dogg joined in on the celebration:

Fabolous& Emily B welcomed their new baby girl – their third child together - over the weekend. More inside…

Fabolous& Emily B are parents again.

The couple welcomed their third child together – a baby girl – over the weekend.

After Emily B attended GHerbo’s birthday bash, the 39-year-old shoe designed went into labor to welcome their newest edition to the Jackson Family. Em shared an IG story that featured her hospital bracelet with the date “10/10” on it. She also shared video of her oldest daughter Taina Williams swaddling her new little sister.

Check it:

The baby joins her big brothers Johan (12), Jonas (5) and Taina (22), from a previous relationship. Fans have been showering Fab & Em with congratulatory messages. However, many people haven’t forgotten how Fab allegedly knocked out Emily B’s teeth.

Two years ago, Fab turned himself into police where he was arrested and indicted on four felony domestic violence charges for allegedly beating Emily B and making death threats to her father. The 42-year-old avoided jail time when he copped a plea deal in the case. New Jersey prosecutors dismissed the charges so long as he stayed out of trouble for a year and completed a pretrial intervention program.

All of that is behind them now, so they are portraying. And folks get dragged for pointing out the problematic nature of this reationship and dragged for not.  So, we'll just leave it at that.

The stripper at the center of “strippergate” that has turned into a hot storyline for Porsha Williams and Tanya Sam is speaking out. He claims nothing happened…with HIM. There’s alleged audio of the incident and Porsha says she’s a single woman. Everything inside….

“Real Housewives of Atlanta” stars Porsha Williams and Tanya Sam set the Internet on fire when rumors started circulated that two cast mates were involved in some extracurricular activities. B. Scott sources accused Porsha and Tanya have been accused of dippin’ it and doin’ in in the lady pond with the help of a male stripper in South Carolina while they were celebrating before Cynthia Bailey’s wedding.

Now, the alleged male stripper - named Bolo - is speaking out. He claims he's a professional and did NOT engage in any sexual activity with Porsha or Tanya.

"To whom this may concern. I’m not just a stripper. I’m THE stripper," he said. "I built an entire brand on professionalism, and it don’t just stop here y’all. I got fans, followers and supporters that’s been around for years that can attest to that."

Peep the clip below:

There's alleged audio of the alleged sexcapades and its rumored cast mates are trying to stop production from airing it on the upcoming 13th season. Podcaster Denver Sean claims Tanya has jetted to Canada (where she's from) and she's not happy that her questionable antics could possibly be exposed.

It's alleged they were planning a bachelorette afterparty after the cameras went down, but the mics were still on and caught the REAL action. Allegedly. You can listen here.

Tanya is engaged and folks have been dragging her for the sexcapades rumors, but she claims they are NOT true:

Porsha Williams reacted to the rumors, but she didn't shut them down. All she said was that she's single:

Hmph.

By the way...

"CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story" actress Drew Sidora seems to be joining the cast for the upcoming season. Her possible appearance comes after self-proclaimed "RHOA HBIC" NeNe Leakes confirmed she would NOT be returning for another season.

Will you be tuning in this upcoming season?

Y’all Better Put Some RESPECK On LeBron James’ Name! Here’s Why He Deserves It All – Both On & Off The Court

lebronrespect

Hate him or love him - you WILL respect LeBron James. Not only is he doing great things on the court, he’s also doing some incredible things off the court…that involves Forever First Lady Michelle Obama. Get the deets inside…

Many love him. Many hate him. No matter your personal feelings towards LeBron James, you have to give respect where its due. And he’s most certainly DUE for ALL the respect.

This NBA season was … unconventional – to say the least – as the Coronavirus pandemic put a halt on everything across the globe. Adapting to our new normal, the NBA created a “bubble” in Orlando to finish out the 2020-21 NBA season. And it ended just as LeBron and his Los Angeles Lakers teammates wanted: as winners. The Lakers beat the Miami Heat (one of LeBron’s former teams & the team he won his first NBA title with) in Game 6, 106-93.

King James scooped up his fourth NBA Title, scoring 28 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists. It was the first time the Lakers won a title since the late Kobe Bryant’s fifth and final championship win over a decade ago.

This season was tough, but LeBron and the Lakers proved to be the supreme team this year.

The Championship win was monumental in Lakers history as the win came the same year NBA icon Kobe Byrant died. They played in his memory and delivered what Kobe was able to serve up five times for L.A. before his death.

The haters will say the same was rigged or they didn’t deserve the win or any conspiracy theory as to way the Lakers nabbed the championship trophy. And let’s not forget those “washed king” hashtags that were circulating on social media after the Lakers signed a four-year deal with LeBron. Well, he shut all of that talk up after his second season with the team where he picked up his FOURTH Finals MVP award and earned the Lakers their 17th title. King James had a message for the naysayers during his post-game on-court interview:

"I told Jeanie [Buss] when I came here that I was gonna put this franchise back in the position where it belongs. Her late, great father did it for so many years and she just took it on after that. For me to be a part of such a historical franchise, it's an unbelievable feeling not only for myself, but for my teammates, for the organization, for the coaches, for the trainers, for everybody that's here. We just want our respect. Rob [Pelinka] wants his respect. Coach [Frank] Vogel wants his respect. Our organization wants their respect. Laker Nation wants their respect. And I want my damn respect, too."

Check it:

As he should. It’s bigger than basketball for LeBron, which we know to be true after he opened his own school – I Promise School - in his hometown of Akron, Ohio to serve underprivileged kids. Not to mention all of the generous donations/contributions to charities he and his wife, Savannah James, send regularly.

King James’ More Than A Vote team has partnered up with Forever First Lady Michelle Obama’s When We All Vote squad teaming to provide information, transportation, food, music, personal protective equipment and other support at early voting sites around the country Oct. 18th -31st ahead of the November 3rd presidential election.

“Millions of Americans have already cast their ballot and with only 21 days until Election Day. Making your plan to vote early is critical,” Mrs. Obama said in a statement to The Associated Press. “It’s now up to us to do everything in our power to get our friends and family ready to vote early and safely together. We can’t leave anyone behind.”

There’s literally no excuse why you can’t cast your vote for the upcoming presidential election.

Earlier this month, King James’ More Than A Vote organization signed up 10,000 volunteer poll workers, reaching a major milestone this week in its effort to combat systemic, racist voter suppression.

CNN reports:

The organization, made up of prominent athletes and artists, has focused its "We Got Next" poll worker recruitment effort -- a partnership with the NAACP Legal Defense Fund (LDF) -- in primarily Black electoral districts ahead of November's general elections. A number of first-time poll workers were among the virtual fans during Game 1 of the NBA Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat on Wednesday night, according to a statement from the NBA.

Former President Barack Obama made a surprise appearance in the virtual crowd during the game, and used his appearance in the star-studded crowd, which included Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Dwyane Wade, Shaquille O'Neal and "Good Morning America's" Robin Roberts, to thank poll workers participating in the upcoming elections.

Shoutout to LeBron for being a KING on and off the court!

”Black Ink Crew: Chicago” star Ryan Henry is being accused by his best friend, Anthony Lindsey, of sleeping with his son’s mother while he was battling cancer– allegedly causing him to overdose. Sheesh. More inside…

“Black Ink Crew: Chicago” star Ryan Henry is being accused of being the ultimate f*ck boi.

Ryan’s best friend, Anthony Lindsey, has accused the reality star of sleeping with his son’s mother, Nina, while he was battling cancer. Damn! That’s so grossly savage, especially since Anthony, Ryan and their families were all smiles on a boat a few weeks ago.

Letting the world know about the ultimate betrayal, Anthony hopped on Instagram to share a series of posts that called out his best friend for stabbing him in the back. Anthony said he’s no longer friends with Ryan after he found out about his son’s mother sleeping with his best friend via her text messages. The news hit him so hard, he claims to have overdosed.

“I found out last week via my son’s mother text. That her and Ryan my best friend and father to my God son has been f*cking each other,” he wrote. “It took so much of a toll I ended up over dosing last week,” he shared.

”Do I want to kill myself no, the overwhelming pain and me being distraught led me down a path I had never faced. Being that yesterday was mental health day I decided to share this,” he said in a post where he tagged several blogs AND Ryan.

”They did this to me while I fought cancer. I’m broken, hurt, confused and so many other things,” he continued.

In the caption of the tell-all post, he said Ryan threatened to kill him for telling Rachel (Ryan’s son’s mother) about the affair. He tagged Ryan in the post, but he couldn’t tag his son’s mother Nina, since she blocked him.

”This N*gga threatens to kill me over f*cking my sons mother, because I told Rachel! He thinks I want sympathy for the internet. Nah N*gga people need to know the truth. I can’t tag Nina. She blocked me lol

He was also responding to people in his IG comments who questioned his accusations:

Lawd! We hope this is just a misunderstanding but..... it probaby isn't.  This is some grimy, guttersnipe ish, if not!

In a recent IG Live post, Ryan said he didn’t threatened anyone.

Before that, he shared this vague post that seemingly responded to Anthony’s entanglement claims. He shared a video of himself turning up in the club with the caption, “That b***h can f**k me and bruh we will neva Eva have an issue.”

Before all of the drama, Ryan & Anthony had a close bond. Again, they are the god fathers of each other’s children:

And while Anthony confirmed he and his son’s mother were no longer in a relationship, it’s still f*cked up Ryan would sleep with her:

Gotta keep your grass cut low, so the snakes will show.

Dwight Howard Wins His First NBA Title & Then Gets Dragged By His Son’s Mother Royce Reed For His Alleged Deadbeat Antics

Dwight Howard’s NBA championship celebration was interrupted by his son’s mother Royce Reed. She called him for his alleged deadbeat ways. Everything inside…

Los Angeles Lakers baller Dwight Howard copped his first NBA title after his team defeated the Miami Heat in Game 6, 106 – 93.

While he was celebrating, his son’s mother Royce Reed was busy blasting him online for being an alleged deadbeat dad to their son, Braylon Howard. Apparently, D. Howard shared a screenshot of a text message exchange with his rumored girlfriend and that supposedly set Royce off. Over the last few years, Dwight & Royce have been pretty lowkey (despite their chaotic past), but that all changed when Royce hopped on social media recently to unleash her wrath.

The former “Basketball Wives” star shared a comment she posted about Dwight being a deadbeat dad and how she has to comfort him at night because of the way his father treats him.

"Imagine having to text a 3rd party to try and find out if this person plans on seeing their 2 kids that live here and that they haven’t seen since July or SPOKEN to since August before they leave the city and the response is 'I don’t know, I gotta see what the team doin,'" Royce wrote in the comment. "A multimillionaire who can catch any flight with a choice to spend a couple hours with children who want to think he’s their own personal Superman. A child who REALLY NEEDS HIM RIGHT NOW!"

"But... I hold this little boy at night through tears and anger. I comfort him. I raise him with love not through money," Reed added. "So anyone who has an issue with that F*CK YALL! Straight up! Braylon will always cause my lioness to come out! PERIOD!"

Royce also said her son wanted to change his last name.

In the caption she wrote:

"Y’all better stop praising ppl based off a screenshot of their lives on tv and Instagram posts. Better yet... imagine having to text a 3rd party to try and find out if this person plans on seeing their 2 kids that live here and that they haven’t seen since July or SPOKEN to since August before they leave the city and the response is “I don’t know, I gotta see what the team doin”. A multimillionaire who can catch any flight with a choice to spend a couple hours with children who want to think he’s their own personal Superman. A child who REALLY NEEDS HIM RIGHT NOW! But... I hold this little boy at night through tears and anger. I comfort him. I raise him with love not through money. So anyone who has an issue with that FUCK YALL! Straight up! Braylon will always cause my lioness to come out! PERIOD! #mytherapistisgonnakillme "

The woman Dwight is allegedly engaged to is Los Angeles Sparks player Te’a Cooper and she seemingly hopped into the group chat with a subliminal:

Royce caught wind of her shade and responded.

On IG Stories, Royce wrote:

”Imagine it being one of the happiest moment/days of your life and someone who’s supposed to be your sanity and celebrate with you comes at you with some childish DRAMA for all the world to see…how embarrassing,” she wrote. “You knew what signed BACK up for…,” she continued.

It’s rumored Dwight brought his other kids with him inside the Orlando Bubble. However, it doesn’t appear Royce’s son was there based on her posts.

Sheesh! Royce is clearly reminding folks “this ain’t what you want!”

Twitter Pumps The Breaks On The Political Foolery By Suspending FAKE Accounts Pretending To Be Black Trump Supporters

$

The Trump campaign – or whoever – is doing the MOST on social media trying to pander black votes. Now, Twitter is shutting that ish down. More inside…

The Trump campaign is working hard to pander the black vote. Or to at least cause enough doubt in the black community about whether their vote really matters to make enough folks to not vote (which, inevitably, is a vote for Trump).

Apparently, several Twitter accounts posing as black Trump supporters popped up on the social media platform declaring their admiration for Trump and declaring they’ll be casting their vote for the former reality star. Turns out, it’s a “hoax.” At least much of it is.

According to The Washington Post, Twitter suspended several fake accounts pretending to be owned by black Trump supporters. It’s unclear how many accounts were taken down, however, Darren Linvill, a social media disinformation researcher at Clemson University, discovered more than two dozen such accounts had generated some 265,000 retweets or Twitter mentions. Some of the accounts scooped up tens of thousands of followers.

”YES IM BLACK AND IM VOTING FOR TRUMP!!!” is one of the phrases the fake Twitter accounts posted online. Also, some of the accounts shared photos of black men that previously appeared in news articles.

Twitter said they suspended the accounts because their content broke the rules on spam and platform manipulation. We’re sure Twitter can track down who made the accounts, but that information hasn’t been made public.

It’s clear that Trump and his administration is gunning for the black vote. Right now, polls suggest about 10% of black voters are supporting Trump. So it looks like the disinformation campaign worked on some, and others are actually supportive of his sexism, racism, toxicity, faux masculinity via bullying and misgony.  Hmph. Speaking of black Trump supporters…

Over the weekend, Trump hosted a rally on the South Lawn of the White House where he spoke at his first public event since being diagnosed with COVID-19.

The crowd was primarily made up of black and brown - mostly mask-less -  Trump supporters, who were invited by Blexit (co-founded by Candace Owens), which is an organization whose goal is to take black voters away from the Democratic Party. We guess folks forgot about that Rose Garden super spreader event earlier this month that infected Trump himself.  Unfortunately, black and brown people are reportedly at more risk than others when it comes to COVID-19. The virus has disproportionately impacted black and brown families. This is backed by science...not fake news.

According to the CDC, the coronavirus death toll is twice as high for Hispanic, Black, and Native American adults under age 65 as for whites — and children of color make up 75 percent of coronavirus deaths of people under 21.

Yet, black and brown people still showed up on the South Lawn to attend Trump’s presidential rally. According to ABC News, the crowd was required to wear Blexit apparel, which included a blue top that said “We the Free” on the front and “Blexit backs the Blue” on the back. Masks were asked to be worn during the event, but they were not reportedly required. Of course.

“Every day more Black and Latino Americans are leaving behind left wing politicians and their failed ideology,” Trump said during the address. “And they’re embracing our pro-jobs, pro-worker, pro-police — we want law and order, we have to have law and order — and pro-American agenda.”

This man will literally say ANYTHING.

During his speech, Trump praised law enforcement all while pandering the black vote.

“We call this a peaceful protest at the White House in support of the incredible men and women of law enforcement,” Trump said, later adding, “It’s a dangerous profession and they’ve been doing an incredible job.”

Anyone willing to attend a Trump event knowing he contracted the disease for being reckless, well, whatever happens just happens. No, we are not donating to any GoFundMe accounts either.

Tory Lanez Ordered To Stay Away From Meg Thee Stallion After Her NY Times Op-Ed About Protecting Black Women Drops

Tory Lanez has been ordered to stay far away from Megan Thee Stallion after he was indicted on felony assault charges. Deets on that, plus how Meg is flourishing inside…

New updates are trickling in surrounding the shooting scandal that involved Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion.

A judge told Tory Lanez he better stay far away from Megan Thee Stallion (at least 100 yards) after he was indicted on felony assault charges that could possibly land him in prison for a maximum of 22 years. He better not try to contact her either. He attended a hearing in L.A. County via phone. It was supposed to be the Canadian singer’s arraignment, but his attorney, Shawn Holley, requested a continuance. Since the continuance was granted, he did not have to enter a plea.

According to reports, Tory’s bail was set at $190,000 and he was ordered to turn in any guns he may own.

After the indictment, the Canadian artist hopped on social media to respond:

The hearing comes on the same day Meg’s op-ed in the New York Times was released where she boldly addressed why Black women need to be protected and why she’s not afraid of criticism. The Houston Hottie is adamant that saying "protect Black women" should NOT be a controversial topic. She also  addressed the shooting scandal with Tory, confirming they were never in a relationship and she explained why she initially decided to keep quiet about the incident:

"Despite this and despite the way so many have embraced messages about racial justice this year, Black women are still constantly disrespected and disregarded in so many areas of life.

”I was recently the victim of an act of violence by a man. After a party, I was shot twice as I walked away from him. We were not in a relationship. Truthfully, I was shocked that I ended up in that place.

”My initial silence about what happened was out of fear for myself and my friends. Even as a victim, I have been met with skepticism and judgment. The way people have publicly questioned and debated whether I played a role in my own violent assault proves that my fears about discussing what happened were, unfortunately, warranted."

Meg - who landed her own TIME magazine cover recently - talked about calling out Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron during her “Saturday Night Live” debut for his mishandling of the case involving EMT Breonna Taylor:

”I recently used the stage at “Saturday Night Live” to harshly rebuke Kentucky’s attorney general, Daniel Cameron, for his appalling conduct in denying Breonna Taylor and her family justice. I anticipated some backlash: Anyone who follows the lead of Congressman John Lewis, the late civil rights giant, and makes “good trouble, necessary trouble,” runs the risk of being attacked by those comfortable with the status quo.

”But you know what? I’m not afraid of criticism. We live in a country where we have the freedom to criticize elected officials. And it’s ridiculous that some people think the simple phrase “Protect Black women” is controversial. We deserve to be protected as human beings. And we are entitled to our anger about a laundry list of mistreatment and neglect that we suffer.

And that’s on PERIOD.

The “Savage” rapper talked about the obsession with black women’s bodies and how folks always want to dictate what woman should and shouldn’t wear. Meg has experienced the judgement first hand.

”If we dress in fitted clothing, our curves become a topic of conversation not only on social media, but also in the workplace. The fact that Serena Williams, the greatest athlete in any sport ever, had to defend herself for wearing a bodysuit at the 2018 French Open is proof positive of how misguided the obsession with Black women’s bodies is.”

”I would know. I’ve received quite a bit of attention for appearance as well as my talent. I choose my own clothing. Let me repeat: I choose what I wear, not because I am trying to appeal to men, but because I am showing pride in my appearance, and a positive body image is central to who I am as a woman and a performer. I value compliments from women far more than from men. But the remarks about how I choose to present myself have often been judgmental and cruel, with many assuming that I’m dressing and performing for the male gaze. When women choose to capitalize on our sexuality, to reclaim our own power, like I have, we are vilified and disrespected.”

On the flip side...

The college-girl-turned-rapper hasn't forgot about her college hotties. She recently announced her $10,000 "Don't Stop" scholarship that will be awarded to two hotties pursuing a degree in any field. Peep the deets above.

The LGBTQ+ rapper accepted the Top Hot 100 Billboard Award for his hit track "Old Town Road" featuring Billy Ray Cyrus before an empty audience at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Obviously, the theater was empty due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but that didn't stop Lil Nas X from showing out.

Serving up a fashion statement that gave us serious Prince vibes, X rocked a pink and green Gucci snakeskin leather suit, which he paired with black leather boots. As for his hair, he had his curly "bayang" laid to the side just like the Purple One.

When X walked out on stage and first spoke, he looked around, asking "HOW?" and "WHAT?" as if he would get a response. Being silly.

"What? Thank you to everybody," he said. "Thank you to Billy Ray Cyrus. I want everybody to be on the lookout next month for Nasvember. It's going to go crazy. In 2021, I’m dropping the greatest album of all time. I love you goodnight," he concluded, teasing a new album is on the way"

Congrats, Lil Nas X!

"New side of Alicia to introduce you to. Nice to meet you,” she tweeted.

After host Kelly Clarkson introduced her, A. Keys stepped out on the stage rocking a new look. Dolled up in a black wig with a blunt cut bang, the 39-year-old served up catsuit realness in a glittery white bodysuit that showed off her curves. In an IG video, she explained she's enjoying this version of Alicia right now and that's why she decided to change things up a bit.

As for another performance…

Doja Cat ate her BBMAs performance. One thing about her, sis loves to put on an entertaining performance and tonight wasn’t any different. The "Chicago" Broadway theme was a fire touch to her performances of "Juicy," “Say So” and “Like That.”

Billboard recognized rapper/activist Killer Mike for all of the work he has been putting in over the years to elevate the black community. He accepted the inaugural Billboard Change Maker Award and he dedicated the honor to his wife, Shana Render. Watch his acceptance speech inside…

Killer Mike is getting his flowers while he’s still here. The Grammy winning rapper/social-political activist – real name Michael Render - received the first-ever Billboard Change Maker Award during the 2020 Billboard Music Awards, which aired live from the empty Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

”The Billboard Change Maker Award honors the artists or group that speaks truth to power through their music celebrity, and community,” according to a press release. “They are socially conscious, politically aware, active in their community and charitable with time, money, and/or influence to improve the lives of others.” Killer Mike is no stranger to calling out police brutality, systemic racism and other issues that affect the Black community. Last year, he hosted a documentary titled "Trigger Warning with Killer Mike" on Netflix that put the country and its racist ways on full blast.

The "Run the Jewels” rapper was presented with the inaugural award by Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms from the APEX Museum of African-American history, located in Mike’s hometown. Peep her introduction below:

The inaugural winner made sure to thank and praise his wife, Shana Render, for being by his side and keeping him in check because he said he would not be where he’s at today if it wasn’t for her. Aww!

The father-of-four also served up some motivational gems for the youth.

”Kids out there that sing and dance. What you do is worthy,” he said during his acceptance speech. “You are artists and your goal should be to express the very reality around you in the very most beautiful or ugliest of ways you see fit. Kids who run and dance and sing and jump and all that, all the things they tell you don’t matter – you matter more than you know.”

Congrats!

Ice Cube Responds To Folks Who Want To Cancel Him For Working With Trump On That 'Platinum Plan' For Black Americans

When Trump advisor Katrina Pierson announced Ice Cube helped the administration with this last minute “Platinum Plan” for Black Americans, folks began to drag him online. Soon after, Cube clarified his involvement with the plan. Deets inside…

N.W.A. to….MAGA?

Ice Cube previously developed a "Contract With Black America" plan, which we're still not clear on how it will help black women specifically. It seems Cube believes the Trump campaign when they said they would take it in, despite the fact we see barely any of his initiatives in the finalized "Platinum Plan."

Trump advisor Katrina Pierson hopped on Twitter to shoutout rapper/producer/actor Ice Cube for his involvement in developing the “Platinum Plan” alongside the Trump administration.  And it caused a sh*t load of controversy on social media. The White House advisor thanked Cube for “his willingness to step up and work with” Trump on the “Platinum Plan,” which promises to help black businesses.

"Shoutout to @icecube for his willingness to step up and work with @realDonaldTrump Administration to help develop the #PlatinumPlan ICYMI: https://cdn.donaldjtrump.com/public-files/press_assets/president-trump-p... Leaders gonna lead, haters gonna hate. Thank you for leading!,” she tweeted.

It's interesting who the Trump Administration chooses to "listen to" and who they chose to ignore, as multiple black people from academia and politics attempted to Work with Trump early on in his candidacy and Presidency.  All have been ignored except for entertainers who don't come tot he table with experience and academic expertise in the areas they speak on.

Trump’s “Platinum Plan” promises to “increase access to capital in black communities by almost $500 billion” by creating 500,000 black-owned businesses and 3 million new jobs for the black community. It also claims to give the black community “access to better education and job training.” The Platinum Plan pledges to strengthen Trump’s immigration and policing policies in order to protect jobs and communities.  It's important to note, this is not $500B of new money.  This is almost all money that is already in place for various roads to help certain groups, and Trump's administration has yet to use it for what it is there for.  But, suddenly, a month before the election, he suddenly remembered it's there.

You can read the full plan here.

Cancel culture didn’t waste any time on calling Cube out for working with Trump on the “Platinum Plan,” so he took to Twitter to explain. He said he reached out to both the Republicans and the Democrats to discuss the development of policy plans to aide the black community. He said Republicans responded while Dems said they would address his "Contract with Black America" after the election.

“Facts: I put out the [Contract with Black America],” Cube tweeted. “Both parties contacted me. Dems said we’ll address the CWBA after the election. Trump campaign made some adjustments to their plan after talking to us about the CWBA.”

It's also important to note, the Biden Harris platform (WHICH HAS BEEN AVAILABLE HERE SINCE EARLIER THIS YEAR) already addresses much of what Cube is asking for. The rapper/actor continued to explain himself on Twitter, responding to fans who questioned why he would align himself with the Trump administration who has proven to be liars and proven to use black people for photo ops and smoke screens to prove they're not racist.  People also have been pointing out that Trump gives them nothing they ask for in the end.

Peep the tweets:

Cube said he did it for the betterment of the black community:

And he made it clear he didn’t endorse anyone:

We're playing semantics with the word endorse.  If you're saying you want an administration to incorporate your platform, and you claim they did, you certainly aren't going to disavow people from voting from them to enact your plan like they promised.  Cube, by the wway, was encouraging people NOT to vote at all just a few motnhs ago.  We guess it's ok to vote now that a set of demands he came up with to speak on behalf of the black community is being "looked at" by Trump?  Even though these demands are already in the Biden harris plan in far more detail?

A few days before the controversy, he shared a video talking about his “agenda for black Americans” with his “Contract with Black America” and said he was pushing it on everybody.

“The problems facing America are too deep and wide to simply reform one area or another,” the contract said. “Long-lasting solutions demand a comprehensive thorough ‘rethink’ of America so that each new approach in each area supports the success of the others. This Contract with Black America will provide conceptual approaches in several areas.”

The contract details 13 areas of improvement, including prison reform, bank lending, police reform and the elimination of all confederate monuments.

Again, almost all of this is directly and better addressed by the Biden Harris plan.

Political commentator Bakari Sellers said Cube got tricked by the Trump administration:

"Biden has a black agenda & a racial equity agenda," he tweeted. "He has a black female VP who will help oversee COVID recovery for a virus which from a health & economic POV devastated black communities. He will appoint a black woman to the SCOTUS."

Civil rights activist Shaun King hopped on Twitter to point out Cube never endorsed Trump:

Black Americans have expressed their thoughts about Cube working with the Trump administration on the policy plan. Here are some reactions below:

Anyone else find the timing of the release of the “Platinum Plan”…sketchy? Trump has been in office for the last four years and Black Americans are just now being presented with a policy plan days before the presidential election? And none of this plan was enacted these previous 4 years?

Yeah, this milk isn’t clean at all. Thoughts?

#CREATEYOURFUTURE: YBF Celebs Just Co-Signed These Young, Black Emerging Artists Who Created Bomb Voting Inspo

$

Records are breaking left and right with the number of folks registering to vote for the 2020 election, and early voting numbers are also killing it. But we still have a LONG way to go. There's a YBF voter inspo campaign that's amplifying the work of emerging black illustrators, fashion designers and artists with the help of influential celebs. You gotta see it.

Get into Sprite’s “Create Your Future” initiative now.

We're all well aware of how significant this year’s election is. In the last presidential election, Black voter turnout declined for the first time in 20 years, falling to 59.6% in 2016 after reaching a record-high 66.6% in 2012. This year we are SEEMINGLY on the rise again, but we're not resting on that. Y'all know how numbers can surprise TF out of us on Election Day. Just sayin'.

That’s why Sprite launched the non-partisan “Create Your Future” initiative ahead of the 2020 election to help educate and inspire Black and multicultural youth to exercise their right to vote. It's an extension of the brand's promise to elevate the Black Lives Matter Global Network and the launch of “The Give Back,” a program to support the Black community in the fight against racial injustice and the COVID-19 pandemic. Very.Much.Needed.

The purpose of this particular initiative? To "make voting cool" for every election, not just the big Presidential elections every 4 years. The brand wants to "inspire participation in the electoral process" on the national, state and local levels. And we gotta say, commissioning emerging black fashion designers, photogs and others to do their thing is not a bad start.

Six emerging artists – fashion designers BLUBOY and Dorothy Lawes, photographer Yvette Glasco, artists Sage Guillory and Foremost and illustrator Neka King– have created pieces about why voting is important to them.

Get into all of their artistry in the gallery below!

The thirst-quenching brand teamed up with "grown-ish" star Yara Shahidi, 2 Chainz & Rhapsody to amplify these emerging black artists (fashion designers, illustrators, etc.) who are giving us voting inspo vibes in their own creative ways.

For example, BLUBOY gifted his custom jacket to 2 Chainz at a socially-distanced concert at HBCU Alabama State on Oct. 12.

Yvette Glasco’s photographs will be featured in Rapsody’s music video for her new single, “12 Problems.”

And, Dorothy Lawes created a mask (above) that Yara Shahidi will be wearing to prepare to vote, in style, in the upcoming election.

Yara - who is clearly a change agent in her own right - says it's the brilliance of black creative expression for her:

“Sprite’s ‘Create Your Future’ initiative is about harnessing the brilliance and power of Black creative expression to empower myself and my peers to get creative, get informed and exercise our right to vote in the upcoming election. In collaboration with Sprite, I am excited to utilize my platform to amplify the voices of emerging creators and encourage meaningful action through every day civic engagement.”

2 Chainz, who has been instrumental in helping to restore voting rights for ex-cons, explains why voter inspo is so important:

“Sprite has a long history of putting on artists and tastemakers in hip-hop. This summer, my team at Street Execs partnered with Sprite on ‘The Give Back’ to support DJs who were impacted by COVID-19. Now I’m teaming up with Sprite again for the ‘Create Your Future’ campaign, which encourages Black and multicultural youth to learn about the different ways to vote and inspires them to vote with art by up-and-coming creators. No matter your background or where you live, it’s important to educate yourself on the candidates, their policies, and the process to vote.”

Rapper Rapsody also joined the initiative to pass her mic to her fellow storytellers:

“I’m proud to be a part of Sprite’s ‘Create Your Future’ voting initiative. We’re working with several incredibly talented young artists who created these beautiful, powerful pieces – from fashion, to illustration, to photography – centered around their reasons for voting. With Sprite, I’ll be passing the mic to elevate their work and tell their stories. As an artist, I love telling stories, especially when they come from a real place and from people striving to create a better future for our communities.”

There's 3 weeks left to vote in this Presidential election. Sprite's got you covered with HOW to vote and the inspo to continue to do so from here on out. Let's get it!

Jesse Williams' divorce from Aryn Drake-Lee has been finalized. Find out what the judge awarded them both inside…

It’s finally over.

”Grey’s Anatomy” star Jesse Williams and his estranged wife Aryn Drake-Lee’s messy divorce has been finalized three years after they called it quits.

A judge officially signed off on the divorce after they agreed on a settlement. According to court documents, Jesse & Aryn were declared officially single as of August 7, 2020.

The 39-year-old actor and the 38-year-old real estate broker initially reached an agreement in September 2019, but it was just now made official. You’ll recall, child support and custody of their children were two major issues in their uncoupling.

Both parties agreed they will share joint legal and physical custody of their two children, 6-year-old daughter Sadie and5-year-old son Maceo. When it comes to posting images of the kids on social media, they have to consult with each other about it first.

Although they will be sharing legal and physical custody, Jesse still owes $50,629 per month in child support for the kids up until October 2019, and then $40k per month after that. According to TMZ, the actor has to make two more spousal support payments of $50,695 for August 2019 and September 2019, but then he’ll be off the hook.

The judge broke down how they separated their assets. Aryn was awarded houses and cars while Jesse got to keep his “Grey’s Anatomy” coin after he filed for divorce. TMZ reports:

Aryn gets to keep the former family house in L.A., along with places in Brooklyn and Oakland. She's also keeping a leased 2017 Audi Q7 SUV and 2018 Q5 SUV, while Jesse gets to keep his leased 2018 Porsche Cayenne SUV. They really dig SUVs.

Per the documents, Williams will keep the $936,810 he has earned from the hit ABC drama after their date of separation, listed as April 11, 2017, while other earnings will be split. The family's home in Los Angele will stay in Drake-Lee's possession, and the exes will keep their respective vehicles.

Jesse filed for divorce to end his 5-year marriage to Aryn in 2017 after being together for 13 years. Now that his divorce his finalized....

We wouldn't be surprised if he popped the question to his girlfriend Taylour Paige.

Tracee Ellis Ross Confirms She’s ‘Happily Single’ After Fans Started Speculating She Was Dating Harry Styles

Tracee Ellis Ross wants you to know she’s single after fans started speculating she was dating singer-songwriter Harry Styles. More inside…

Tracee Ellis Ross is seemingly putting some dating rumors to rest.

Fans have been speculating that the “Black-ish” actress has been dating singer-songwriter Harry Styles:

Video clips of their interactions were popping up on social media, further fueling the rumors.

Turns out, what’s being said about Tracee’s relationship status is just that: rumors. In her November 2020 Shape cover interview, the 47-year-old actress confirmed she’s “happily single,” slamming rumors that she’s dating the 26-year-old English singer.

“I am happily single, though that doesn’t mean I am not open to and don’t want a relationship. But in my wonderful and robust experience of being single, I have learned to have a productive relationship with loneliness and an intensely juicy relationship with my joyful solitude. I really enjoy my company,” she said.

While she said she’s open to a relationship, she isn’t interested if she has to alter her being.

“People can be in wonderful relationships but can’t actually reap the joy of that connection. Because you can have all the good stuff, but if you don’t know how to be with it, it doesn’t matter. I realize that I hold the idea of wholeness with great reverence and respect because my goal is to have an experience with myself that is whole.”

The “Girlfriends” alum admitted she stopped “trying to be perfect,” as she’s realized it isn’t “realistic” to expect so much of herself.

“I used to spend so much time trying to be perfect, to get it perfect. But that’s not realistic. Bad feelings come up. There was an element of risk to try something different — to try on the idea of: What if the universe is conspiring for good? Not necessarily mine, but what if I don’t have the full picture here? What if this is all OK? And that was the start of a turning point. If you keep putting good stuff in your cup, eventually it overflows. And you’ll be like, ‘Oh, I need a new container.’ ”

Plus model Steven Green (aka Steven G) broke the Internet after starring in Rihanna’s all-inclusive Savage x Fenty fashion show. Now, he’s talking about his newfound fame (And how Rih and 'em slif in his DM's). More inside…

One thing Rihanna wanted to display in her new Savage x Fenty lingerie fashion show was inclusivity. And she totally nailed it. The fashion maven picked models of all shapes and sizes to star in her https://theybf.com/2020/10/02/watch-rihanna%E2%80%99s-savage-x-fenty-sho... ">Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 2 that premiered on Amazon Prime Video October 2nd. The show featured a star-studded line up of models, including Lizzo and Willow Smith. Fans were entertained with a mega line-up of entertainment, including performances by Travis Scott, Ella Mai, Miguel, Roddy Rich, Bad Bunny, and Rosalia.

The “Diamonds” singer also incorporated male models in the show to flex in her new collaboration line for men with Diddy’s son/rapper https://theybf.com/2020/10/02/watch-rihanna%E2%80%99s-savage-x-fenty-sho... ">Christian Combs. And speaking of the men, one male model broke the damn Internet after his debut.  And you can see why.

When Steven Green (aka Steven G) was contacted via Instagram about appearing in RiRi’s show, he said he thought it was fake and asked if they knew what he looked like.  Ha!

He joined the "The Drew Barrymore Show" this week and dished on how it all went down:

Drew: Steven you are all the rage, everybody loves you. You’ve had such an incredible response. How does it feel to be representing men and have everyone so supportive and saying thank you for representing.

Steven: Honestly, that moment when I thought was just for me to get the opportunity to work with Rihanna and Savage X Fenty team became so much bigger. To see impact it has had on me and to really just take the initiative to go for your dreams and go without boundaries was amazing. Drew: I mean what does it feel like when you get called by a RiRi Savage X Fenty team.

Steven: It’s a dream, it’s definitely a dream. I thought it was a joke at first when their production team reached out via Instagram. I had to check to double check with my agent like, ‘Hey have they seen images of me. Are they sure what I look like?’ They definitely affirmed me in that moment to say, ‘Hey they want you. This is it, this is a moment.’ It’s a God dream for sure.

Drew: What do you think gave you the confidence to put yourself out there in the first place may I ask.

Steven: Honestly I think just being really in tune with myself and knowing gifts God has given me.

He's been making his rounds too.

“I presumed this was just a mistake and I wouldn’t hear from them again,” he told In The Know magazine. “I was floored. I couldn’t believe that they actually wanted me to model for them.”

The photographer-turned-model said he never thought this would be his life right now.

“Never in a million years would I have considered myself a sex symbol, but to see the responses definitely confirmed that my size wasn’t much of a factor,” he told In The Know. “Of course, with the positives, there are always those negative and ignorant people who state their opinions which in turn highlights some very problematic issues within society.”

Turns out, Savage x Fenty was his first photoshoot and then, COVID. A Twitter user liked what she saw, shared it on Twitter and then he went viral. He told BYRDIE.com:

"My very first shoot was the Savage x Fenty shoot because as you know COVID hit in March and everything was shut down so I really wasn't able to do a lot. So a lot of the content I was creating was at-home content. A lot of my portfolio was me and my wife. I was shooting the content myself. The producer from Savage reached out to me on Instagram, and he was like, 'Hey, look, I wonder if you'd be interested in a new campaign.' And I was like, 'Whoa!'"

"The buzz came about when a girl posted me on Twitter. She wrote, 'Okay, Rihanna' with the eyes emoji with a screenshot from the e-commerce site. I didn't do any of the launch campaign images or the show. So yeah, those were the images that kind of blew up from there."

"Health doesn't come in a size,” he continued. “You can look a certain way but that doesn't mean you're healthy, and you can look a certain way that doesn't mean that you are healthy. We should focus on being confident because I feel like a lot of people who are a bigger size lack confidence, so they don't even attempt to do the things that they desire to do. [...] Rihanna is taking that step for us. It opened up that door for a lot of people to actually tap into something deeper than just body positivity, but really just hone in their gifts, talents, and their God-given abilities."

He better say that. Steven said he works out three to four times a week, incorporating weightlifting as well as cardio.

I never would’ve thought my first time ever shirtless on the internet would be with @badgalriri for @savagexfenty. I was EXTREMELY hesitant the moment my agency confirmed but something in me knew I couldn’t let this opportunity pass me by. I thought this was for me but this is for every guy built with some extra meat, that unbuttons that bottom button when tryna avoid the crease, that has to shop around like crazy cause the sizes for us are already gone but we sauce up a fit and still flex the drip. We here, we are sexy, and we are the wave. And don’t let nobody tell you that you aren’t! Huge thanks to my agency @bridgemodels for everything. YBF POLITICS: Symone D. Sanders Answers The 'What Will Biden & Harris REALLY Do For Black People' Narrative

$

You've heard the rhetoric - whether it's from Russian bots or actual Trump supporters.  "What will Biden & Harris do for Black people?" "Why are Black men being left out and not catered to like Black women are?" "Trump and Biden are the same." "No one has earned the Black vote."

Natasha sits down with the Symone D. Sanders, Senior Advisor to the Biden-Harris campaign, to address ALL that ish. Watch/Listen now!

It's been three hundred years - ok, a long several hundred days - of the 2020 Presidential election season.  And the rhetoric still hasn't changed amongst some folks.

It's become clear many people simply haven't read the very much in depth Biden-Harris platform on JoeBiden.com. Since many do have time to repeat rhetoric developed by the Trump campaign, Symone D. Sanders, the Biden campaign's Senior Advisor, is offering up the rhetoric that is based in fact.  She's breaking down the points YOU NEED TO KNOW about the Build Back Better plan that directly help Black America where Trump's Platinum Plan remains vague and unreliable.

You can no longer say you "don't know how" Biden & Harris will help Black America after listening to this.  Agree or disagree with the plan, but at least KNOW the plan.

Vote early.  Vote NOW.  Election DEADLINE is Nov. 3rd.  Election DAY is now.

Joe Biden Admits Supporting The '94 Crime Bill Was A ‘Mistake,’ Then Properly Breaks Down Why During Town Hall

$

bidencrimebill

Joe Biden addresses the controversial topic surrounding his support of the 1994 Crime Bill and explains why it was a “mistake.” However, he also defended part of the bill. More about his town hall meeting inside…

Instead of the virtual presidential debate that had been scheduled to go down yesterday (after Trump tested positive for COVID-19), Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden participated in dueling town hall meetings last night to share their plans with the American people if they are chosen to be our next leader.

Trump chopped it up with Savannah Guthrie of the “TODAY” show in Miami, which aired on NBC News. Meanwhile, Democratic presidential hopeful Joe Biden sat down with ABC News chief anchor George Stephanopoulos for 90-minutes in Philadelphia and their conversation aired on ABC. Never has a presidential debate been split like this, forcing viewers to choose which event to watch (since they were going down at the same time), but it's 2020. Nothing shocks us at this point.

During this election season, one of the hot topics surrounding Biden was his backing of the 1994 Crime Bill, which became a tool that fueled the mass incarceration of people of color. He gave his support of the bill during his tenure as chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Biden said backing the bill was a “mistake,” but he defended some aspects of the bill.

When asked if supporting the 1994 Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act was a mistake, Biden replied, “Yes, it was.”

While he called it a mistake, he did defend parts of the bill.

“The mistake came in terms of what the states did locally,” he said. “What we did federally — you remember George, it was all about the same time for the same crime,” Biden continued.

It's important to note that virtually all of the black Congressmen at that time, the Congressional Black Caucus, also supported the bill overall.  It was not - at that time - seen as an outright attack on the black community.

He noted there was plenty of support from prominent Black leaders at the time and that things have drastically changed since then.

According to a member of Biden’s campaign, she said Biden was talking about the 1986 crime bill that included mandatory minimum sentences for drug offenses and not the 1994 Crime Bill.

Check it:

If you're looking for a perfect candidate,  you won't find one.  What we do appreciate is course correction and transparency, both of which Biden provides.

It seems America appreciated his full transparecy as well - in all parts of his Town Hall. His ratings topped the ratings of Trump's dueling Town Hall held at the same time by NBC.  Deadline reports:

The ex-Veep’s 8 – 9:30 PM ET The Vice-President and the People snagged 12.2 million viewers and a 2.6 rating among adults 18-49 last night. Over on the Comcast-owned net, a petulant Trump was grilled by [Savannah] Guthrie and voters in Miami from 8 – 9 PM ET as 10.3 million Americans tuned in, with a 1.7 rating among the key demo.

You can do the math, but the numbers speak loud and clear.

Now, those numbers will all change as more results come in and the Trump town hall has the baked in advantage of being simulcast on MSNBC and CNBC too. However, right now in the fast affiliates, we are calling it a solid win for Joe Biden.
