Last night was the highly anticipated premiere of season 5 of "RHOA." And while most of the time was used to catch fans up on the ladies' expanding brands and careers, many folks got their first taste of former Miss USA Kenya Moore.

The beauty queen clashed with Cynthia Bailey, fellow judge Q Parker, AND several staff of her staff members at a JET "Beauty of the Week" casting call, resulting in security being called to break the tension.  Even though Cynthia said Kenya calling for security was interesting...because there was none.  Kenya said since she's famous..she travels with her own. She says."People are crazy."

Rapper Natina Reed was laid to rest over the weekend in Lithonia, GA after being struck by a car.   Natina's former Blaque band member Brandi D. posed with Kurupt at the service to honor her memory.

Rapper Kurupt was seen arriving to the homegoing service for Natina, the mother of his son Tren.  We told you previously that Kurupt also footed the bill for the services.

Our condolences go out to Natina's family who are still seeking additional infomation from authorites about the circumstances of Natina's death.

Jennifer Hudson jetted to the Bahamas this weekend for a big gala in honor of American-Bahamian Sidney Poitier.  Decide if we love her lace white mini dress she rocked for the occasion inside...

In a long sleeved white lace mock turtleneck Dolce & Gabanna mini dress ($2,279) and black Charlotte Olympia golden platform boots ($995), Jennifer Hudson hit the red carpet and stage at the Atlantis for a gala honoring Mr. Poitier on Saturday night.

At the gala, also attended by Oprah Winfrey and others, she hit the stage to perform "Spotlight" & a Whitney Houston medley after posing for pics on the carpet:

"Scandal" star Kerry Washington hit the campaign trail for President Barack Obama in Florida over the weekend.  See pics of the fab chick greeting voters inside....

Kerry Washington, a long time Obama supporter, headed to Fort Lauderdale, Florida over the weekend to support the "OFA-’Its On You’ Early Vote" event.  She rocked a cute OBAMA tee and jeans for the political ocassion, which is in the same lane as the political scandal lover she plays on tv.

Kerry used her star power to encourage voters to support President Obama and spread the word about early voting to friends.  She passed out a few goodies and posed for pictures and signed autographs.

Meanwhile, Kerry and her "Scandal" co-stars are celebrating ABC picking them up for a full second season.  Woot!

Ne-Yo is prepping to release his brand new album R.E.D. tomorrow (Nov. 6th).  And before the big day, he's giving an inside look into how he writes those songs that become #1 hits for most of the pop & R&B chicks in the game.  And how he still knows how to get himself some hits too.

From inside the studio where he's made himself hefty amount of cash by writing some of the biggest hits in R&B these days, Ne-Yo is giving folks the secrets to hit writing.  At least how he sees them.

In between writing and chatting it up with folks on his phone, Ne-Yo gave folks what it takes to write a big hit for the likes of Rihanna ("Unfaithful", "Take A Bow", "Russian Roulette"), Beyonce ("Irreplaceable"), Jennifer Hudson ("Think Like A Man") and even himself;

I don't have much of a process. There's been some songs where the melody came first. there's been some songs where the track will lead me to a lyric. There's been songs where the hook will come first or verse. That's the cool thing about music...there's no wrong way to do it. Unless you're off key...

And how exactly he pushes out hits left and right for Rihanna:

In writing for another person, you have to take into consideration how well that person can reproduce what is is you're trying to give to them. And you have to write according to it. I write well for people I have the luxury of having a relationship and can actually ask them what's going on in their lives.

Rihanna's one of those people. I can call Rih and go, "How are you feeling today? I'm about to go in the studio with you is there anything specific you want to say?" Can't do that with everybody. In that I have that luxury, it definitely helps.

Rihanna has completed her Unapologetic album and posted a bikini photo to celebrate.  Also, pop singer Ciara appeared on "The Rickey Smiley Morning Show" recently where she talked about past boyfriends Bow Wow and 50 Cent. Listen to the interview inside and see Rihanna's photo.

We've seen her heading in and out of studios a lot for the past few weeks and now Rihanna happily reports that she has completed her Unapologetic album.  The singer tweeted, "We havin a celebration.... WE HAVE AN ALBUM!!! #UNAPOLOGETIC."

She accompanied the tweet with a shot of herself in an nude-like sexy strapless bikini while in a swimming pool.  The album will be released on November 19.

In other music news....

During a recent interview with "The Ricky Smiley Morning Show","Sorry" singer Ciaragave up the goods (well, some) about some of the famous men shes's dated, like Bow Wow and 50 Cent. 

She revealed that she remains friends with Bow Wow (though they haven't spoken in a long time) and is very close to his mother.  And when it comes to 50 Cent (whom she called Boo Boo) she says he only likes to get involved with things he could contol (like business opportunites).  She thinks when he is not in control, he gets afraid.

She said,"The one thing he is afriad of is love. And in that sense, he's afraid of me."  

Hmmm.....Well if 50 Cent is still interested, all has has to do is say "Sorry" or some ish.

We told you that 50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather had been feuding and it seemed like the bromance was over...but now we're not so sure. In a series of tweets, the rapper revealed that it was all a publicity stunt (created by Floyd) where he was asked to tweet about the boxer because no one had been paying him much attention since he was released from prison for domestic violence.  Sounds like 50 is being his usual passive agressive self again.

One thing's for sure...it did put both of them back in the headlines since no one seems to be checking for 50 Cent's music OR Floyd's boxing.

Nicci Gilbert, the headstrong singer/fashion designer on "R&B Divas" has officially been fired (or nicely asked to leave) from the cast, TheYBF.com has exclusively learned. Get the deets on why she was dropped inside and where the show is headed for a spinoff.....

Though "R&B Divas" has become a success for TV ONE, TheYBF.com has learned that former Brownstone member and show co-creator, Nicci Gilbert, was given the axe.  A source from the show's executive production team told us that market research they conducted showed that viewers just didn't connect to Nicci.  In fact, we were told that 95% of those polled said that Nicci was their LEAST favorite diva.  WOMP.

The production team doesn't want to announce the firing publicly until a cast for season two is in place...but Nicci has already been shown the door.  Also, an L.A. spinoff is in the works for the show ad that cast will be announced soon.

But it doesn't seem like Nicci is letting the news get her down.  The "Curvy Diva" still has her Curvato clothing line and even Retweeted a fan's comment about getting her and her former co-stars on BET's Black Girls Rock.  At least she doesn't seem to hold a grudge against the other ladies.

As Kelly Rowland gears up for the release of her Year of the Woman disc, fans could say this is her "year of the feature" as she's already appeared on tracks for Big Boi and Ludacris. Now, she's featured on Future's latest single "Never End (Remix)."  

The duo teamed up to shoot the video in LA over the weekend with Kelly tweeting, “Had a GREAT time this weekend shooting @1Future’s video for ‘Neva End (Remix)’ in Los Angeles.”  The song will appear on a repackaged version of Future’s Pluto 3D disc (Nov. 27th) featuring three new songs and two remixes.

Kelly also tweeted a pic with her beauty team saying, "the Pretty Committee #GLAM #NevaEnd."  

And on television....

Last night “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” broke records and became BRAVO'S highest-rated season premiere bringing in over 3.2 million total viewers and over 2 million adults 18-49. Also, this was the highest rated season premiere for all key demos.  And the success didn't stop on the small screen as "RHOA" had a 258% increase on Bravo Mobile and a 129% percent increase in Twitter mentions.

Pop singer Ciara, who'll release One Woman Army next year, soaked up the sun in Dubai recently.  And she showed fans pics of her red hot flower petal tiny bikini.  She tweeted, "Anotha TB Pic In Dubai..Feelin Good! Nobody Can Make Me Feel Like Dancin Up All Night!:) #GotMeGoodOnItunes!

As she prepares to have her "wizbud,"Amber Rose tweeted a pic yesterday from her "Beach day."  We're not sure if the photo is new since her hair is darker and her belly looks a lot smaller.  But she's absolutely glowing.

Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose and his girlfriend Mieka Reese recently gave birth to a bouncing baby boy he calls PJ.  See the adorable first photos of the little one inside.....

Though she tried to keep both the relationship and pregnancy on the low, Mieka Reeese (who happens to be the niece of former baller Tim Hardaway) gave birth to her and Chicago Bulls superstar Derrick Rose's brand new baby boy.   Derrick tweeted that he calls him, "My lil man PJ."

And 2-week-old Derrick Jr. isn't the only reason to celebrate these days.  Adidas recently unveiled a new colorway for Derrick's signature shoe, The D Rose 3 “Michigan Avenue” which drops November 15 for $160.

President Obama is the WINNER for the second time!  With 303 electoral college votes (most recent count at time of post), President Barack Obama has been re-elected to President of the United States.

Despite Mitt Romney initially "not accepting" the call in Ohio--which gave President Obama the necessary 270 electoral votes to win--he eventually conceded to our current POTUS.

During his acceptance speech, Mr. President fired up the the audience at McCormick Place in Chicago with promises of a united country--whether he earned your vote or not--an equal country, and a fair place for all.

First Lady Michelle Obama, who looked gorge in her Michael Kors dress, joined her hubby on stage with the fab First Daughters Sasha & Malia, before he kicked off his rousing acceptance speech.  And VP Joe Biden& wife Dr. Jill Biden joined them on stage afterwards.

• The Democrats grabbed control of the Senate, while Republicans maintained the House.
• Same-sex marriage was officially voted legal in Maryland, Washington State and Maine.  It was voted down in Missouri.
• VP candidate Paul Ryan's back-up plan worked--he was re-elected to his House seat for Wisconsin (even though the Romney/Ryan ticket LOST Wisconsin in the Presidential bid)
• Rep. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.) is now the first openly gay Senator-elect in US history.
• Despite his long absence and troubled year, Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr. easily won re-election for his House seat in Illinois.
• Colorado became the first state to legalize marijuana (even without stipulations like medical marijuana licenses).
• Rep. Todd Akin (the "legitimate rape" fool) lost his bid for a Senate seat from Missouri.  Dem. Senator Claire McCaskill won a second term.
• There is now a historic number of women in the U.S. Senate as of Tuesday night.  After at least 4 were just elected, it brings the total to 19 (it was 17 before Tuesday).
• Obama won all battleground states (and is leading in Florida still at time of posting) except North Carolina.
• The youth vote (18-39) was 60% in favor of Obama, and the demo voted in record setting numbers!

Rapper Jeezy, who first paid homage to President Obama's 2008 election with ""My President," has recorded a new track to celebrate the President's 2012 re-election called "We Done It Again."

Pop icon Mariah Carey has released a new single which pays tribute to Barack Obama's 2012 re-election.  Listen to "Bring It On Home" inside and also hear Keyshia Cole's"Zero" featuring Meek Mill.  

Mariah Carey has released the studio version of "Bring It On Home," a tribute song to President Barack Obama,which she originally performed at a fundraiser over the summer.  The gospel-influenced track features Mariah's powerhouse vocals and backing choir.

And Mariah excitedly tweeted news about the President's re-election on Twitter saying,

“Congratulations to our beloved President Barack Obama, our spectacular First Lady Michelle Obama & the adorable Malia & Sasha. We love you!.”
