Y'all, NBC went and cancelled one of the best sitcoms on tv right now.  And folks are PISSED.

"The Carmichael Show" just got the axe after the network failed to renew the actors' options by the proper date.  Deadline reports:

NBC’s The Carmichael Show won’t be returning for a fourth season. The network and studio announced the news shortly after creator and star Jerrod Carmichael revealed he was exiting the series as cast options were set to expire at the end of today.

The genius sitcom that perfectly played out serious social issues with utter hilarity was secretly being shopped to other networks to gauge potential interest.  Apparently, all signs had been pointing to cancellation when the network did not renew the show at the same time they renewed others.

Interestingly, the show is a hit amongst many and the ratings remained stable all season.

This season, the series tackled episodes centered around sexual assault, the N-word, mass shootings and more.  The gun issue episode was actually delayed until this past week because it was originally slated to be released around the same day as the Congressional baseball game shooting.

Creator and star Jerrod Carmichael spoke out on The Breakfast Club against the network's decision to postpone the episode.

He also issued a statement about the cancellation via his publicist saying:

“For three seasons (okay 2.5), I got to make a show that I love with my friends,” he said. “It’s something I’ve wanted to do since I was 13. Now, I’m excited to go make other things that I love. Thank you to every person who worked on or watched The Carmichael Show.“

Comedians Lil Rel, David Alan Grier and Tiffany Haddish also starred on the show, alongside Loretta Divine and Amber Stevens West.

Its no doubt directors and filmmakers in Hollywood are gunning to have Mahershala Ali appear in one of their projects. He took over the 2017 awards season for his role in Moonlight. Now, he's in talks to return to television.

The “House of Cards” actor is reportedly in talks for a role in a potential third season of HBO’s drama series “True Detective.” The third season hasn’t even been officially renewed yet, but it’s likely that it will. And nabbing Mahershala will only secure it even more. However, negotiations are still in the very early stage and no deal is in place.

“True Detective” is a seasonal anthology series in which police investigations unearth the personal and professional secrets of those involved, both within and outside the law. Would Mahershala play a bad a** detective looking to save the world? Or, would be play a villain wrecking havoc? We’ll just have to wait and see.

In movie news, Mahershala is set to star in crime thriller, Triple Frontier, that’s not set to hit theaters until 2019.

Another movie in the works....

Omari Hardwick and Terry Crews have signed up to star in Boots Riley’s first film feature, Sorry To Bother You.

According to Deadline, the film centers on a black telemarketer who discovers a magical key to business success, and uncovers the macabre secret of his corporate overlords.

Rounding out the cast are Tessa Thompson, Lakeith Stanfield, Jermaine Fowler, Armie Hammer, and Steven Yeun. It’s currently in production.

Big names like Forest Whitaker, Nina Yang Bongiovi, Jonathan Duffy, Charles D. King, George Rush, and Kelly Williams are producing. And it’s expected to hit theaters in 2018.

Speaking of movies…

The Academy Awards just invited it’s most diverse members in history. In an effort continue to diversify, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences invited a record 774 new members from 57 different countries. It’s a new record for the most invitees in a year.

A few YBF stars made the cut including Mahershala Ali, Donald Glover, Terry Crews, Barry Jenkins, and Jordan Peele to name a few.

We’d say they’re headed in the right direction for inclusion in Hollywood.

Ex-NBA baller Baron Davis was served with divorce papers from his estranged wife Isabella Brewster-Davis, citing “irreconcilable differences.” So what does he do? He keeps it pushing, and hits up Jay Z’s 4:44 album listening party held at 1OAK in West Hollywood (above).

He also hit the carpet solo at the NBA Awards earlier this week.

Isabella, who is the sister of Fast & Furious star Jordana Brewster, filed for divorce in L.A. and she’s asking for primary physical custody and joint legal custody of their kids together. They share two boys, a 2-year-old and a 1-year old.

Golden State Warriors baller Steph Curry is making history again. This time, he’s going down in the history books for inking the richest deal in NBA history!

According to his agent Jeff Austin, the two-time NBA champion and the Warriors have agreed to a 5-year deal worth $201 million with no options. He’s the first NBA star to agree on a deal worth more than $200 million. Get those coins! 

Previously, the Warriors point guard was playing on a four-year, $44 million dollar contract. So you see, his new contract will be paying him a cool $40 million a YEAR. Sheesh!

Corey Hardrict, who stars in the Tupac biopic All Eyez On Me, just joined the cast of an upcoming drama series titled "The Oath." It will be executive produced by 50 Cent and his G-Unit Film & Television production company.

Deadline breaks down what the series is about and who Corey will be playing:

Written and created by former Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Joe Halpin (Hawaii Five-O, Secrets and Lies), the 10-episode original series explores a world of gangs made up of those sworn to protect and defend and sheds light on corrupt and secret societies that are nearly impossible to join. Only a select few make the cut – but once inside, members will do what they must to protect one another from enemies on the outside and from within their own ranks.

Hardrict will play Officer Cole Hammond, a cop whose cool and composed demeanor conceals an underlying sense of paranoia. Raised by white foster parents, Hammond is fueled by an intense dedication to protect the only family he has ever had — putting him at odds with the other members of the Ravens gang. He joins an ensemble cast that includes Sean Bean (Game of Thrones) and Ryan Kwanten (True Blood).

No word yet on its premiere, but we’ll keep you posted.

The upcoming comedy Girls Trip looks like it’s going to be loads of fun to watch from what we’ve seen in the trailers and TV spots. And that redband trailerwas MANY things.

Before the film hits theaters July 21st, the cast linked up at the Theatres at Canal Place in New Orleans for a private screening during the festival last night.

The film’s stars Queen Latifah (rocking Dolce & Gabbana), Jada Pinkett Smith (shining in Valentino), Regina Hall and Tiffany Haddish posed it up and had fun on the carpet before the screening.

Producer Will Packer and director Malcolm D. Lee were hyped to share their new project.

Stars Kofi Siriboe and Larenz Tate caught up with one of our faves, "Insecure" star Issa Rae. The new season will premiere July 23rd on HBO.

Derek Fisher just officially copped a DUI charge after he flipped a luxury SUV on the freeway with his girlfriend Gloria Govan in the car with him. More inside…

Derek Fisher isn’t getting off on this one.

The former NBA baller was officially charged with 2 counts of DUI after that huge accident last month. You’ll recall, the former Knicks coach had flipped his white Cadillac Escalade on the 101 Freeway in L.A. Apparently, he lost control and hit a guardrail, which resulted in the vehicle flipping over. Thankfully, no one was injured.

Oh and get this, the vehicle Derek was driving was registered in his nemesis/Gloria’s ex-Matt Barnes’ name. Chile...

If Derek is convicted on both counts, he could be facing up to 6 months in jail. However, it’s his first offence, so he may not have to worry about jail time. The judge will probably punish him with fines, probation and, of course, an alcohol education class.

Kanye West is looking to cut ties with TIDAL because the streaming company allegedly owes him a cool $3 million. But, he won’t be able to part ways so easily. Get the details inside…

After Hov dropped his candid 4:44 album, there’s news that Kanye West has left TIDAL over a money dispute. We know what you’re thinking, Ye pulled this stunt after the Hip Hop mogul went IN on him on his new album.

In case you missed, on the track “Kill Jay Z,” Hov opens up about how he fronted Ye $20 mill to stay with TIDAL only to get trashed during a rant at one of his PABLO concerts. FYI - At the time, Ye was considering inking a deal with Apple Music.

Jay rapped:

But you got hurt because you did cool by 'Ye

You gave him 20 million without blinkin'

He gave you 20 minutes on stage, fuck was he thinkin'?

"Fuck wrong with everybody?" is what you sayin'

But if everybody's crazy, you're the one that's insane

Sources tell TMZ, Ye -- who helped launch the app in 2015 and is part owner-- has been unhappy with the music streaming service for quite some time. The reason? TIDAL allegedly owes him $3 million.

The site reports:

Our sources say a month ago Kanye's lawyer sent a letter to Tidal, saying the company was in breach and the contract was terminated. Over the next 2 weeks lawyers for both sides tried to resolve the conflict but failed. We're told 2 weeks ago Kanye's lawyer fired off a second letter declaring again the contract was over.

Kanye's decision to split from Tidal predates the release of Jay Z's album in which he trashes Kanye, and we're told Kanye had no advance knowledge of Jay's lyrics.

We're told Kanye's beef with Tidal is twofold -- his Saint Pablo album resulted in 1 1/2 million new subscribers to Tidal, for which he was supposed to get a bonus but the company hasn't paid. Kanye also says Tidal reneged on reimbursing him for music videos.

Our sources say Tidal's position is that Kanye didn't deliver the videos required by the contract. Kanye's response ... I'll deliver the videos when you pay me what I'm owed.

So check it, if Ye tries to jump ship to another streaming service, TIDAL will sue him. They sent him a letter to refute his claims that the deal was terminated and if he walks away, there will be some legal consequences.

Rich people problems.

Oh, and as the world continues to dissect 4:44, here’s another jab Jay took at Ye:

On Kanye’s track “30 Hours,” he rapped, “I wake up, all veggies no eggs/I hit the gym, all chest no legs.”

On “BAM,” Jay rapped, “Uh, niggas is skippin' leg day just to run they mouth/I be skippin' leg day, I still run the world”

Mary J. Blige is going through it! But, she’s finding solace on stage.

The Queen of Hip Hop Soul, debuting a blonde braided up 'do,  hit the stage at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans last night and she got very candid about her pending divorce.

She opened up about her estranged husband Kendu Isaacs’ extramarital affair that lead to the couple calling it quits. As she got more candid about their failed relationship, she revealed Kendu use to compare her to other women.

“For me ladies, I’m a little crazy, maybe a lot, but I’m more selfish with my relationships,” she told the audience.“And I will not appreciate is my man coming home comparing me to Suzy on the job…Don’t ever compare me to nobody because there’s only one Mary J. Blige out there.”

It has been rumored that Kendu cheated on Mary with a 28-year-old up-and-coming artist named Starshell, who was signed to Mary’s Matriarch Entertainment Record label. She also lived in Mary & Kendu's guest house to be close to their in-home studio. SMH!

To the fellas, she advised,“You can’t have two queens.”

In June, a judge ordered Mary topay Kendu $30,000 a month in temporary child support. You'll recall, he was gunning for $100,000/month. *rolls eyes*

“How is it that somebody gets to cheat and destroy everybody’s life but I’ve got to pay for it? That ain’t fair!," she said. 

True! If he’s the one who cheated, why should she have to pay anything?

Y’all remember Prison Bae Jeremy Meeks. He was the guy who’s whole life changed after his mugshot went viral. He went straight from the big house to making his runway debut during New York Fashion Week last year.

You’ll recall, he was a married father of two young children. But these days, he has a new chick on his arm and sucking his face.

A few days ago, Prison Bae, 33, was spotted kissing Topshop heiress Chloe Green, 26, aboard a yacht a luxury yacht in Turkey. And based on the flicks, they seem madly in love because they could hardly keep their hands or lips off of each other. Peep the pics here.

Xscape shut down the Superdome last night for their reunion performance. A slew of concertgoers couldn’t get in (even after purchasing tickets) and ish went all the way left. Get it all inside…

Imagine you and your girls copped your Festival tickets WAY in advance and the night you all were ready to rock out to some throwback Xscape, the organizers tell you and your friends that you all can’t come in.  Why?  Because the venue is packed to capacity!

Chile…it happened and folks were BIG mad.

90s girl group Xscape hit the stage for a reunion performance at the Superdome in New Orleans last night, but ish got out of control when several concertgoers were turned away due to the small venue.

Apparently, they were set to perform on the 3rd floor of the Superdome in the Super Lounge and NOT the main stage. Why Sway? People who purchased tickets were turned away. Needless to say, the fans were PISSED and pandemonium broke out!

Leave it Solange to serve up more than just a performance. Chick gifted her fans with an experience on the main stage at the New Orleans Superdome last night.

Backed by a live band, Solo crooned tracks from her new album Cranes In The Sky, including the title track, “Don’t Touch My Hair” and “F.U.B.U.”

Chanel Iman and her boyfriend Sterling Shepard jetted to Miami for some fun in the sun…and the ocean! The supermodel and her NFL baller beau were spotted all hugged up while cooling off in the water.

Ugh! They're so freakin' cute.

After splashing around in the ocean, the lovebirds took a moment for some relaxation while soaking in the ocean view.

A few of Chanel's friends were also in the mix.  She was there for DJ Irie's annual weekend.

Venus Williams gets super emotional about the fatal car crash she was involved in during a post-game conference. More inside…

Venus Williams hit the tennis court during Wimbledon yesterday where she defeated Belgian tennis player Elise Mertens.

What should have been a joyous moment, things quickly turned somber when a reporter asked the 37-year-old tennis player about the fatal car crash she was involved in last month.

Last week, she was found at fault in a car accident that took the life of 78-year-old Jermone Barson, a passenger in another vehicle. She hasn’t been criminally charged in the incident, but it’s clear the situation is weighing heavy on her heart.

As she attempted to answer the question, she paused before she became overcome with emotion and shed a few tears. She eventually left the presser without answering any other questions.

La La Anthony is hot on the promo trail to dish on the new season of “Power.” Now that we all know Keisha’s alive and smashing Tommy, we’re just anxious to see what other mess her character is going to get into. 

The YBF actress recently appeared on “Watch What Happens Live” with “Real Housewives of Potomac” star Gizelle Bryant.  And she reveaed a few things.

As expected, she talked about her separation from her estranged husband Carmelo Anthony. She still hasn’t confirmed if she'll actually go through a divorce from the NBA star. She’s currently focused on being a role model parent for her and Melo’s son, Kiyan Anthony.

However, she does leave the door open on a reconciliation:“Anything’s possible,” she said.

When asked if she thought Melo would be leaving the New York Knicks, she said it’s a possibility and she hopes he’s traded to a team he’s happy with. She said she wants him to win because he’s an incredible player and he deserves it.  But she previousy said SHE is staying in New York, regardless....

Tiny Harris opens up about the ins-and-outs of her co-parenting relationship with her estranged husband T.I.

It’s one thing to split from your significant other, but it’s on a whole new level when you share kids with an ex. You still have to communicate in some capacity and be sure the kids are taken care of despite the demise of your relationship.

That’s what’s currently going on between Tiny Harris and her rapper husband T.I. We all watched as Tiny and Tip had that “talk” about where their strained relationship on the final season of “Family Hustle.” Now, life after reality television is filled with trying to find a balance of time the kids spend with each other separately.

While in New Orleans over the weekend, PEOPLE caught up with Tiny to ask how she and her estranged husband are coping with co-parenting.

“It’s pretty good, but we still fight over spending time with the baby,” she revealed.

“We’d just spend time together, but now it’s like, ‘I want her,’ ‘No, I want her.’ ‘Well, you better come to my house then,’ ” she says describing how they go about spending time with 15-month-old Heiress.

Despite Tiny filing for divorce twice, she said her relationship with Tip is back and forth.

“It’s a process. Me and Mr., we’re in and out.”

Hmph.

While breakups always suck, Tiny has been focusing a lot of her attention on her newly reunited group Xscape. The 90s girl group just kicked off their tour where they performed at Chene Park in Detroit last night.

Jay Z’s 4:44 album has everyone’s panties in a bunch. See reactions from Lil Boosie, Future, Kanye West, Rev. Al Sharpton, Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj inside…

When Jay Z dropped his 13th studio album 4:44, the Internet was abuzz deciphering Hov’s cryptic (and some not so cryptic) lyrics.

A few bars in particular have several rappers responding. It’s what Hov said on “The Story of O.J.” track where he calls out rappers who hold a stack of money to their ears as if it’s a phone. Hov rapped:

Y'all on the 'gram holdin' money to your ear

There's a disconnect, we don't call that money over here

Lousiana rapper Lil Boosie said he received several text messages and calls about the Jay Z lyric since he’s known for posting selfies while holding a “money phone.” Boosie hopped on Instagram Live to explain why he will forever hold money to his ear.

In a lengthy response, the Baton Rouge rapper said, “In Louisiana, Jay Z’s words don’t fly. If you’re trying to get Jay Z money, you shouldn’t put stacks to your ear. Jay Z don’t tell me what to do. I don’t know about y’all, but he doesn’t tell me what to do.”

“I got love for Jay Z but y’all telling me I shouldn’t put stack in my ear if Jay Z says it? These Louisiana n*ggas don’t rock like that.”

Whether or not Jay even follows what the "Independent" rapper posts on IG is still up for discussion.  But peep the clip below:

Boosie isn't the only one clapping back at the "money phone" lyric....

Rapper Future appears to respond to Jay as well by posting up a SnapChat picture of himself holding money to his ear. He wrote across the bottom of the pic, “U ain’t got the juice like dat. MOOD”

There’s also that line in Jay’s “Kill Jay Z” track where he seemingly fires a shot at Future in reference to his ex-fiance Ciara’s relationship with NFL quarterback Russell Wilson. He rapped:

You mad or nah Future?

You’ve all heard by now that Kanye West wants to cut ties with Jay’s TIDAL streaming platform. And it’s reported he was feeling this way even BEFORE Hov dropped 4:44.

Either way, it’s clear the former besties are feuding. So what does 'Ye do? He gets a new bestie…and 2 Chainz apparently fits that bill. Granted, they’ve always been friends, but this is probably the first time we’ve actually seen these two bring their families together to hang out.

2 Chainz joined Kanye West and his family for a Jamaican style cook out over the weekend in Bel Air, Los Angeles.  It was cooked by Kim's new Jamaican nanny she posts on her Snapchat....
