Growing up in the 90s- early 2000s, you may remember the girl group3LW, including singers Naturi Naughton, Adrienne Bailon and Kiely Williams. The ladies didn’t last in the music business long, disbanding in 2004 after two years in the game.

The "Power" star, who’s currently pregnant with her first child, ended up leaving the group. In previous interviews, she said there was a lot of tension in the group and that adults behind-the-scenes had a lot to do with why she decided to leave. It was as if their handlers were pitting them against each other, or at least against Naturi.

Fourteen years later, the 3LW ladies reunite on daytime television. On today’s episode of “The Real,” co-host Adrienne apologizes to her former band mate as they relive their girl group days.

"It was crazy ‘cause when you know, going through what I went through with the group, it wasn’t easy, it was a hard time," Naturi said. "And everything with being a teenager and being criticized, I went through a time, where I didn’t really think I could make it. And I appreciate your apology because it’s just humility. And at it the end of the day, we have to love and support each other."

In TV news...

It seems like everyone is cashing in on the Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac documentary wave. Now, A&E are gearing up to release two new docs that will chronicle the lives of the late rappers.

In a press release the network announced:

A&E Network will premiere the definitive documentary “Biggie: The Life of Notorious B.I.G.” as the inaugural project airing under the recently relaunched ‘Biography’ banner. The three-hour, deeply personal biography will allow the late Christopher Wallace to narrate his own incredible life story by employing exclusive archival footage and audio recordings that have never been heard before as well as new interviews by those who loved him most. In addition, A&E will also premiere the six-part limited series “Who Killed Tupac?” which will follow famed civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump as he conducts, for the first time ever, a no-stone-unturned investigation twenty years after the death of the dynamic and influential rapper and actor.

“Biggie: The Life of Notorious B.I.G.” will kick-off on Wednesday, June 28th at 9pm EST with the final hour airing Thursday, June 29th at 8:00pm EST. “Who Killed Tupac?” which will premiere its first of six installments on Thursday, June 29th at 9pm EST on A&E.

"The Get Down" has been cancelled by Netflix, and the internets are in a an uproar.  Deets inside...

Well this is a surprise.  The popular show "The Get Down," centered around the hip hop scene in the Bronx back in the 80's, just got cut from Netflix.  Deadline reported the news saying that the ambitious musical drama getting axe is a rare move, as original Netflix shows don't usually get cancelled before its second season.

The network just aired part 2 of season 1 (the season was split due to production delays), and plenty believed that a season 2 was a no-brainer.

Interestingly, creator Baz Luhrmann in an interview with Vulture earlier this spring that a second season was in the works.  He revealed they had already developed the opening and sad that both Sony and Netflix were gun-ho about a second season.

So much for that.

It's also important to note that the series was one of the most expensive shows, with the first season alone costing $120 million.

Luhrmann responded to fans who have been in a tizzy sense the cancellation news was announced.  He basically said he wants to direct movies instead, and his exclusivity with Netflix has prevented him from doing such.

Adrienne Bailon served up her opinion about Mo’Nique’s tirade against Oprah, Lee Daniels and Tyler Perry and Mo has popped back! Get into her shade-ful response, plus find out why Mo went off on the three Hollywood titans inside…

Mo’Nique had the Internet streets buzzing after she SLAMMED Oprah, Lee Daniels and Tyler Perry during a Mother's Day Comedy Special at the Apollo in Harlem. Mo went in about her being "blackballed," calling it white balling because it's white folks in Hollywood who no longer want to work with her. She wrapped up her feelings by telling all three of them to “suck my d*ck if I had one.” Yeah, ish got REAL.

So, the ladies on “The Real” were talking about the controversy during a recent episode and Adrienne Bailon had something to get off of her chest. She said she takes issue with people who think that saying something loud or boisterous automatically means they’re keeping it real.”

“I have an issue that every time someone is loud or boisterous or saying something negative, that that’s them keeping it real," Adrienne said. "Why does it always have to be that, just because you’re all over the place being loud and making a lot of noise, that that’s the truth and that’s real? Why can’t keeping it real be classy?”

Well, the Precious star caught wind of Adrienne's comments and served up a response. She hopped on Twitter to address Adrienne's commets tweeting:

As for what prompted Mo to pop off during her show, she explained why she said what she said in a Periscope podcast show with her husband Sidney Hicks.

The Oscar winner said Lady O pissed her off when she invited the brother that molested Mo’Nique on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and didn’t inform her that her mother would also be appearing on the show. The "Bessie" actress said the show appearance caused a lot of friction in her family that eventually tore them apart.

Mo and Sidney then explained how they found out Tyler Perry had been talking about her behind her back. Apparently, Tyler was trash-talking Mo to one of Sidney’s college roommates, David E. Talbert, who is a playwright and filmmaker. He directed Mo in her most recent film, Almost Christmas.

Sidney noted that Tyler and Lee Daniels would often come to him to talk ish about each other. Sidney said Lee told him Tyler tried to steal the Precious movie from under him and that Tyler couldn’t stand Lee.

Tyra Banks is causing trouble for “America’s Got Talent” and she hasn’t even made her on-screen debut yet. Get those deets, plus find out two things we didn’t know about Sanaa Lathan’s “Love & Basketball” role inside…

Damn, there's drama on “America’s Got Talent” and new host Tyra Banks hasn’t even kicked off her season yet.

According to reports, a woman has launched a lawsuit against “America’s Got Talent’s” production company, Marathon Productions, that claims that her daughter was “physically manipulated and verbally abused” by host Tyra Banks.

Entertainment Tonight got their hands on the paperwork and the unidentified woman (referred to as “Jane Doe”) who filed the lawsuit claims Tyra “shook Mary’s [the woman’s daughter] shoulder, pulled Mary’s hair back and insinuated that Mary was accidentally conceived.”

The site continued:

"Mary did not stop Banks’ conduct because Mary was fearful," the suit claims.

Jane claims that this incident occurred "all in front of active cameras that were filming Mary."

The lawsuit additionally alleges that, "as a result of her negative experience from AGT and [the] abusive treatment, Mary was traumatized, and became deeply depressed. Mary would become extremely nervous and anxious whenever… she hears any mentions of [the] song… whenever she ruminates about the events during and related to the performance, and whenever she thinks about the prospective televised airing."

The lawsuit added that Jane contacted the show and asked that they refrain from airing any of the footage of Mary, Jane or her husband. The suit also claims that Marathon executives "acknowledged Mary's emotional distress," and promised that they wouldn't air the footage in its entirety.

The unidentified woman is seeking an unspecified amount in damages for intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligent infliction of emotional distress, civil battery, and civil assault. She also wants a trail by jury.

The f**kery is real already. Sheesh.

If you’re like us, you’ve seen Love & Basketball a zillion times and you probably feel like you know all there is to know about the film and the cast. But, not so fast.

The movie’s lead star Sanaa Lathan and the film’s creator/director Gina Prince-Bythewood sat down with “The Six” co-hosts Jemele Hill and Michael Smith where they revealed two things we never knew about the classic romantic drama.  While promoting the series finale of their limited series "Shots Fired" the other day, they dropped a few nuggets.

Originally, Gina did not want to cast Sanaa as Monica Wright because she wanted someone who could actually play basketball. She said when she wrote the film, she was not going to cast someone who had never picked up a ball before. However, Sanaa nailed her audition -- after practicing nonstop -- and changed all of that.

Sanaa went through months of intense training for the part. In the movie, there’s a scene where Sanaa’s charcter is dribbling two balls at the same time. Sanaa said she practiced that move for MONTHS, but Gina ended up using a silhouette of her doing the moves so people thought it was a stunt double. Ha!

The Big3 owner has signed on to star in Universal’s high-tech crime thriller titled, Before I Disappear.

According to Variety, the screenplay -- written by “Patriots Day” scribe Josh Zetumer -- centers on a clandestine high-tech version of the witness protection program, which makes clients disappear by offering them seamless exits into new lives.

Can't wait to see this.

Cube is also working on Ride Along 3 with Kevin Hart and he has the debut of his Big3 basketball league launching this summer.

In other movie news...

Director Steve McQueen is gearing up to release what one respected movie site is calling “a blistering, modern-day thriller set against the backdrop of crime, passion and corruption.” Sounds very promising.

“Widows” will star Oscar winner Viola Davis and Tony Award winner Cynthia Erivo has joined the cast. According to Shadow and Act, the film will tell the story of four women with nothing in common except a debt left behind by their dead husbands’ criminal activities. The ladies end up conspiring to forge a new future on their own terms.

The rest of the cast includes Brian Tyree Henry, Get Out star Daniel Kaluuya, Elizabeth Debicki, Michelle Rodriguez, Liam Neeson, Colin Farrell, Robert Duvall, and Lukas Haas. Steve McQueen will be working with best-selling author Gillian Flynn of Gone Girl and Girl on a Train.

Polish up the Oscars now with this cast.

We'll be waiting a while for this one guys. It won't hit theaters until November 16, 2018.

Donald Glover is also hot on the movie/TV scene.

He’s in London filming Spider Man: Homecoming and while he’s working hard on the set, a new trailer featuring his character has been released.

Zendaya (who’s also in the clip), Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Marisa Tomei, and Michael Keaton round out the cast. And we’ll see them all do their thing when the film hits theaters July 7th.

The 10 track Metro Boomin-produced album with have features from 2 Chainz, Rick Ross, Migos' Offset and Young Dolph. The tracklist is above. The last album he dropped 2016's The Return of East Atlanta Santa.

The caption hinted the project will drop at 10:17AM, but he said he's dropping it at mdinight in a new IG post. Speaking of 10:17, Gucci will be getting married to his fiancée Keyshia Ka’oir on 10/17.

So you’ve heard Drake may possibly have a baby (or two) on the way. Now, the sex of one of those alleged babies has been revealed. Decide if you believe it or not inside…

Drake has been hit hard with the alleged baby daddy claims. In the last few months, two women have come forward claiming they are carrying Drizzy’s seed. IG model Layla Lace is one and the other is Sophie Brussaux, a supposed model/former porn star.

Well, Sophie is back with more "receipts" to try and prove that the Young Money rapper is her child’s father. She has hired Jonathan Hay, who is KNOWN for concocting stories in the media, as her publicist. He’s the one who’s making all of these connections between the baby’s due date and Drake favorite number and month of the year.

Sophie's publicist told a website,“In my opinion, it seems as though Drake's first child will become October's very own, as that's the month his baby girl is expected. Drake's lucky number is 13 and the expected due date of his first born is October 13th. I believe that based on the conception date, and what Sophie's doctor has assured… this is without question Drake's daughter on the way. Sophie is only wanting peace with Drake as they will be co-parenting for life."

Nicki Minaj pulled up in Cannes this week.  And she came bearing major announcements...

Before performing and slaying at the amfAR gala, Nicki Minaj arrived into Cannes paparazzi ready and with some major news.

While passing up the cameras, she revealed she would def be back on that side of the pond to perform in Manchester.  She's not letting the terrorists win.  When asked if she would be cancelling any of her own upcoming dates in the city after her girl Ariana postponed her tour until next month after Monday's bombing, she said:

“Nope, because we don’t operate on fear.  Ariana’s my sister and I love the people in the U.K. and I’m devastated by the news. It’s heartbreaking.”

Her upcoming tour rolls into Manchester in 2018.

The Manchester concert bombing has led to the arrest of close to 10 people, including the suspected bomber's brother and father, and left 22 dead and 119 more injured.

Nicki also will be performing at the first ever NBA Awards on TNT, and they're hosted by her YM homie Drake.

The Awards are airing Monday, June 26, with coverage beginning at 9 p.m. ET.

The inaugural event, held at Basketball City at Pier 36 in New York City, will be the NBA’s official annual award show to honor all of the league’s top performers on one night for the first time. Nice!

Miss Black Texas claims she was wrongfully arrested and the police chief berated her by calling her a “black b*tch.” Oh hell no.  Get the deets, plus find out how Apple is trying to make strides in diversity inside…

Miss Black Texas Carmen Ponder is using her platform to blast who is supposed to be a community leader.  She claims she was wrongfully arrested by a North Texas police chief who she said called her a “black b*tch.” After an encounter with Police Chief Kerry Crews, she said she was unlawfully detained and arrested after passing his 14-year-old daughter on the road.

The Texas A&M University graduate detailed the encounter in a lengthy Twitter post claiming she experienced racist road rage from the police chief in Commerce, Texas. She said she noticed the car in front of her driving erratically, so she decided to pass the vehicle.

When she made it to her destination (Wal-Mart) she realized the car she passed had followed her to the store. Crews, who had not identified himself as a police officer, yelled at Carmen for passing his daughter. She told him it was illegal to let his 14-year-old daughter drive and that’s when he allegedly responded, “Whatever, you black b*tch.”

When Carmen was leaving the Wal-Mart, the police chief, his daughter and another man were waiting for her.

One of the men reportedly informed Carmen that Crews is a police chief and that she should apologize. She declined to offer up an apology and began walking to her car. The man allegedly grabbed her and told her she was being detained.

Police arrived on the scene, but the man who grabbed her said she was resisting arrest and told the officers to arrest her. She was arrested and detained for about 24 hours. Carmen was later released and still faced a charge for evading arrest.

Now, she’s calling for the City of Commerce to fire the police chief.

The city manager says Crews has been placed on leave during the investigation into the matter.

We can all guess how this may end.

Apple, who has received much criticism for its lack of company diversity, just hired its first "diversity officer." Denise Young is Apple’s new Vice President of Worldwide Human Resources and it’s the first ever at the company. She’ll be responsible for attracting and retaining top talent at Apple and she reports directly to CEO Tim Cook.

According to Apple, Denise previously served as head of worldwide human resources at Apple for three years, and has been involved in diversity programs at Apple for years. For over 10 years, she sat on the leadership team that built Apple’s retail organization, which now welcomes more than one million people every day.

We'll see if actual diversity throughout the company actually happens.  Nice move in the meantime.

LeBron James had an EPIC playoff game last night. They don't call him King James for nothing.

The Cleveland Cavalier superstar passed NBA legend Michael Jordan for the all-time playoff scoring crown. YAS!

King James put up a 3 pointer with 2:40 left in the third quarter of Game 5 against the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference finals. LeBron finished with a total 35 points as the Cavs defeated the Celtics, 135-102. This is the Cavs third straight conference titled and LeBron’s seventh straight trip to the NBA Finals.

“I wear the number [23] because of Mike [Michael Jordan]," LeBron said during the post-game interview. "I think I fell in love with the game because of Mike, just because of what he was able to accomplish. When you’re watching Michael Jordan it’s almost like a god. So I didn’t think I could be Mike.”

He continued, “For my name to come up in the discussion with the greatest basketball player of all time, it’s like ‘Wow!’”

After the game, LeBron walked up to Celtics baller Isaiah Thomas, who couldn’t play due to an injury, and gave him a hug.

Former President Barack Obama was welcomed with open arms and cheers from the Germans when he arrived in Berlin, Germany to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, joined by German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

POTUS and the German Chancellor, who reunited for the first time since Obama’s presidency, sat on a panel to discuss democracy at the Church Congress in front of 70,000 people yesterday. People in the audience held up signs/banners that read, “Can we keep you,” “We miss you,” and “Welcome back, Mr President”. Aww!

Speaking in front of the Brandenburg Gate, which was once cut off by the Berlin Wall, Mr. Obama revealed he was heartbroken by the bombing in Machester during Ariana Grande’s concert, calling the world a “very complicated place.”

“We can see the terrible violence that took place just recently in Manchester," POTUS said. "It is a reminder that there is a great danger of terrorism and people who would do great harm to others just because they’re different. How heartbroken we are by the loss of life, and we grieve with the families.”

It was a totally different scene when Trump arrived in Brussels, Germany on May 24th. Trump was met with 9,000 people marching the streets in protest before Trump met with NATO and EU leaders.

The 38th College Television Awards went down in Hollywood this week to recognize all of the outstanding college work in categories of entertainment and news content production.

“black•ish” star Anthony Anderson was tapped to host the event and to give props to all of the universities who are making waves in the entertainment/news world. It's like the EMMYs for college students.

Logan Browning, who plays a college student in the “Dear White People” Netflix series, popped up on the red carpet before presenting an award. The “Hit The Floor” actress looked stunning in a blue mermaid style gown that featured a cut-out back.

Werk!

“Survivor’s Remorse” star Tichina Arnold wowed in a black high-slit gown as she made her way down the carpet before presenting an award. The YBF actress is starring in Star Jones’ upcoming scripted series, “Daytime Divas.” It will make its debut June 5th at 10pm EST on VH1. Will you be watching?

Newlywed Samira Wiley shut down the carpet in this red power suit. She was tapped to present an award.

"Grey's Anatomy" star Jason George was also in the mix for the college celebration.

Chance The Rapper whips out a blue tailored suit to serve up some presidential fab for EBONY magazine’s June 2017 Black Music issue.

The three-time Grammy Award winner, who has been dubbed as Chicago’s Hip Hop savior, is all about serving the community, raising $2.2 million for Chicago Public Schools after a very disappointing meeting with Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner. With all the philanthropic work he does for his hometown, it’s no wonder folks are calling for him to run for president of the United States.

So, would the “No Problems” rapper ever consider to run for office?

“I would never run for any office or government position,” he told the magazine after cracking a smile. “I’m not into it. I think politics is a reason why a lot of stuff doesn’t get done. There’s a lot of favors, and a lot of people are held back by their intentions of being re-elected or the things that they owe their party or constituents. I think when you’re in my position as an artist, I can say what I want and talk about the issues that matter.”

We totally agree.

Outside of being an inspirational emcee, Chance is transitioning into a movie star as he gears up for a role in a new flick titled Slice. Making a move into the Hollywood scene can be tricky, but Chance relies on his discernment.

“There are a lot of spaces where you feel like God isn’t around,” Chance said. “I got some vibes. You have to listen and be aware of your discernment, and if somebody tells you to leave? Then get the f*** out of there. You’ll feel it … You just have to listen to God.”

Rap legend Nas linked up with souful singer Lauryn Hill to celebrate her 42nd birthday. The music icons, who collaborated on the hit classic “If I Rule The World,” were captured in a picture together that Nas posted on his Instagram. The Queens Bridge rapper sung Happy Birthday to L-Boogie while cutting her birthday cake.

He said, “Singing Happy Birthday Stevie Wonder style to my soul sister Ms Lauryn Hill blessings and blessings love. (Free the Big Bro Lord)”

“Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” star Rasheeda celebrated her birthday with her closest friends and family in Atlanta last night…sans her husband Kirk Frost. Tiny Harris, Toya Wright and Rasheeda’s kids were all in attendance to party it up for Rasheeda’s special day.

It's interesting to note, Kirk WAS in attendance for Kandi Burruss' birthday last week. It had folks wondering if Rasheeda and Kirk had reunited. Maybe Todd Tucker sent him his invite because Kirk was definitely MIA from Rasheeda's birthday. Well, we didn't see any pictures of him and Rasheeda posted several.

When Trump met with the Pope in Vatican City, a very telling picture began circulating. Trump was sitting all smiles next to the Pope who didn’t look happy…at all. After Adrienne Bailon& Naturi Naughton's makeup session aired this week, their third groupmate Kiely Williams' sister/manager wasn't here for it.  So she started spilling tea on both ladies.  Get it inside....

Sheesh!  Not everybody is happy that Naturi & Adrienne squashed their beef.  The former 3LW groupmates healed their fried chicken filled feelings (remember when Naturi said Kiely and Adrienne threw chicken at her one time?) on "The Real" when Adrienne apologized for mistreating her.

Their third group member Kiely hasn't been hear from much lately, but her sister/manager (who also used to manage Adrienne) Tse Williams had PLENTY to say last night.

She blasted Naturi for making up stories and playing victim when it came to those "they hated me because of my dark skin color" stories.  And she blasted Adrienne for messing up the group because of her thirsty naked picture leak. A leak that her then publicist Jonathan Hay admitted they did themselves.

Then Tse went off, even accusing Adrienne of sleeping with married men...and Kanye West:

But it seems Adrienne is unbothered.  She's currently on vacay with her new husband Israel Houghton in the Dominican Republic.  They snapped pics on their sponsored vacay and shared them with the media:

It’s that time of year! Parents are stanning OUT for their kids as they walk across the stage to receive their diplomas.

It was a big day for LL Cool J and his daughter Samaria Smith.

This week, Samaria graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in Flushing Meadows Park, Queens. And her father was there to show his support. Not only was he there to support, he also spoke during the ceremony to receive the President’s Award for Creative Excellence from FIT in his home borough.

“This generation is poised to bridge the gap of racism, sexism and any other negative –ism that been impacting our world,” he said. He wrapped up his speech with advice he received from his mother and grandmother. “If a task is once begun, never leave until it’s done. Be they labor great or small, do it well or not at all.”

He added, "Samaria, I'm proud of you!"

After his speech, he snuck in a few selfies with his daughter when she walked up on stage to accept her diploma.

At another YBF graduation...

Lil Wayne and Toya Wright’s daughter Reginae Carter graduated from high school today. The “Growing Up Hip Hop” star was all smiles on her big day as her mom and dad where there to witness her next chapter in life. 

On Instagram, Toya poured her heart out to her daughter letting her know how happy she was for her accomplishment. She wrote, "To my beautiful daughter and light of my life! Congrats on your graduation baby girl! Words can't express how I feel today. I wish that your life becomes all that you want it to be. May your dreams stay big and your worries stay small. Always remember to go after what you want and to stay humble along the way. I love you so much and I'm extremely proud of you."

Still a daddy's girl.  Weezy gave his oldest kiddie the hug of life.
