One of our favorite couples, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, touched down on the West Coast over the weekend, where they're in town for the Golden Globes. The hot pair attended a Pre-Golden Globe party at Craig's restaurant in West Hollywood to kick off their trip.

John, who co-wrote "Glory" with rapper Common is nominated for a Golden Globe tonight for Best Original Song from the film SELMA.  But it looks like John's already got a pair of Golden Globes to call his own. Those two....

While at the party, Chrissy caught up with party girl and top model Chanel Iman, who rocked Emilio Pucci.

The 72nd Golden Globes will be broadcast by NBC on tonight, Jan. 11, 2015, and hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. Be sure to tune into TheYBF.com to see how take him a statue.

Angela Simmons hosted the Fashion Against HIV/AIDS Charity Show at Le Fais Do-Do last night.

Ms. Simmons stepped on the red carpet in a pink dress from Virgos Lounge #V Label, and Louboutins.

Angela teamed with LVL XIII and Alter Ego Entertainment for The 2nd Annual Fashion Against HIV/AIDS Charity Show which paired a black-tie gala and fashion show, highlighting local urban luxury designers, with raising awareness and education on HIV/AIDS.
 

Former "RHOA" star and woman-about-town Marlo Hampton stepped out in a long fur vest.

"Atlanta Exes" star Monyetta Shaw made a bold-fashion statement in her body-hugging dress.

DJ Traci Steele walked in the show.

"Fashion Queens" host Derek J posed with Monyetta.

Before the gala started, Angela gathered Marlo, Derek J, Dice and a few friends for a photo.

Last night, someone got it popping at a San Jose nightclub while Chris Brown was on the mic.  In fact.....they got it poppin' five times to be exact.   According to TMZ, Chris was on stage singing at 1:20am when gunshots rang out.  The ruckus sent four people to the hospital and another to the ER. Peep the video above.  It's pretty scary.  

The photo above shows the aftermath of the incident - once cops cleared the building.  SMH.....

As of now, several people were detained but no arrests have been reported.  And Chris has not mentioned the incident on his social media.  Instead, he's focusing on his "Between The Sheets" tour with Trey Songz and Tyga.  Hopefully, the tour venues will be a lot safer than the club scene.

Beyonce and Blue Ivy had some "Mommy And Me" time on the beach recently, where they played in the sand.  Now, their playtime photo has folks wondering if Bey just made a "surprise announcement".  See the questionable photo inside...

Beyonce never ceases to amaze us.  After shutting down the music game, over a year ago, with the surprise release of her platinum disc Beyonce, we've come to expect the unexpected from the Queen. For that reason alone, a single pic of Beyonce "in the sand" could naturally have a number of interpretations. 

Earlier today, Beyonce posted a photo of "sand happy" Blue Ivy burying her mom in the sand.  Perhaps Blue was simply being generous with her mom's body parts, but she enlarged the belly area.  Basically....Blue seems to have created a baby bump in the sand.  Via Instagam, fans are buzzing that this was Bey's way of announcing that she's pregnant.

Live from the 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel, the correspondents kicked off the carpet for one of the more fun ceremonies of Awards season: The Golden Globes.

"Access Hollywood" host Shaun Robinson hit the red carpet in a kelly green gown with gold accessories.  Great color for her.

She tweeted, "Just hit the #GoldenGlobes red carpet! About to host 1st Look Live on NBC! Hope you can tune in!"

Tracey Edmonds hit the carpet for "Extra!".

Her pastel gown was long and flowing and trimmed in lace.  She wore her hair in loose curls.

Showing there's no rivalry between them, she hit the carpet with Shaun tweeting,"I love that I always get to bump into my girl @shaunrobinson at work during awards season :)!! #GoldenGlobesFun."

Looking good ladies.

Look who else was on the red carpet: Cutie Terrence J wore a black tux and a Michael Costello mesnwear bow tie!  We spotted him getting prepped for interviews.  We're sure we'll see him in action tomorrow night on E! News...

Actor/rapper Common and his writing partner John Legend took home the 2015 Golden Globe for Best Original Song for “Glory” from the film Selma!  Big news for the film and for these talented men.

John brought along his supportive wife, Chrissy Teigen, for the event.  It's already shaping up to be a fab year for Chrissy and John.  The couple currently cover the latest issue of Architectual Digest which shows off their fabulous NYC home.

The bold and gorgeous Viola Davis rocked a red strapless Donna Karan Atelier gown for her big night as a Best Actress in a TV Drama nominee.  We can't wait until January 29th when "How To Get Away With Murder" and all of Annalise's fabulousness returns.

Kerry Washington took a risk in this off-the-shoulder dual-jewel-tone dress:

Hmmm...the length and shape is quite interesting for her.  The new mom and "Scandal" star seemed to go the more conservative route, and we're not too sure it worked in this Mary Katrantzou gown.  Kerry's makeup was perfect as usual, though, and he topped off her look with Louboutin pumps and a Judith Leiber clutch.

Kevin Hart, donning a tux with white piping, was on hand to present and promote The Wedding Ringer.  His fiance Eniko Parrish was a knockout in white, and Kevin couldn't keep his hands off her ASSets all throughout their red carpet interview.

Golden Globe nominee and "Orange Is The New Black" star Uzo Aduba sparkled in a halter neck Randi Rahm gown.  We're loving watching her style evolve from red carpet to red carpet.

Uzo's co-star Danielle Brooks rocked a Zac Posen gown for the evening.  While we see what she was going for, the dress seems a bit ill-fitted and a bit too short.  Her hair and makeup were on point though.

11-Year-Old Quvenzhané Wallis kept it age-appropriate and super adorable in this custom Armani dress (thanks to @EICStyle for the find) on her big night as a nominee.  Q is a spokesmodel for Armani, Jr.  So it's only right she rocks the best looks from one o the best designers she happens to be working with.

Nominee David Oyelowo made sure he was going to stand out tonight--win or lose.  He donned a navy blue tux that sparkled....with glitter.  Do it then.

Selma director and Best Director nominee Ava DuVernay slayed all over the place in this perfectly tailored Zac Posen Fall 2014 gown.  The curve hugging dress had a cape attachment (swoon!) and she topped off her look with a Jimmy Choo clutch and Jimmy Choo shoes and Henry J. Sillam jewels.  Gorge!

Chrissy Teigen rocked a million dollars worth of jewels on the red carpet as she posed it up with husband and Golden Globe winner of the night John Legend.  Yes, $1 million.  She topped off her sexy Zuhair Murad gown with a Harry Kotlar radiant cut diamond ring and cushion cut pink and white diamond earrings.

The LA Lakers took on The Miami Heat last night and Gabrielle Union and Iggy Azalea were in the audience cheering on their men.  See their candids inside...

Yesterday, "Being Mary Jane" star Gabrielle Union headed to the Staples Center to watch her husband Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat battle the LA Lakers. 

But Gabby wasn't the only high-profile chick there to cheer on her bae.  "Fancy" rapper Iggy Azalea was there cheering on her man, Lakers star Nick Young.

Another "spirited" chick in the audience was Holly Robinson Peete.  Holly is a former "Football Wife" but she clearly has a love for b-ball and is very vocal.

She brought along her kiddes, making it a family night out.

In terms of pure support and cheerleading, Gabby clearly got the best of Iggy.  The Heat defeated the Lakers on their own turf, 104 - 90.

Of course Gabby's night didn't end there.....

As a glamourous Hollywood star, Gabby slipped off to her hotel and changed garments before heading out to the InStyle Magazine/WB Golden Globes afterparty with Regina Hall.

Then she and her man met back at the hotel and ordered room service.  What a life!

The 72nd Annual Golden Globes Awards went down at the Beverly Hilton Hotel last night. And despite how warm it was inside the ballroom (we hear the air conditioning was shut down in the hotel), YBF celebs kept it even hotter on the red carpet for all the after parties on the Hollywood scene.

After shutting the Golden Globes red carpet completely down in a Zuhair Murad beaded gown, Boy Next Door star Jennifer Lopez continued the slayage at the Weinstein Company & Netflix's 2015 Golden Globes after party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

JLo slipped into a cut-out Amanda Wakeley Spring 2015 halter and thigh slit skirt, which she accessorized with a fur stole and white pointed toe pumps. She topped off her look with a Harry Kotlar 19-carat flawless emerald cut diamond ring worth...wait for it... $1.2 million dollars. Chick never disappoints! We are loving this look.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell was all about a bold color last night. She rocked a a wine colored Azaria La Mode feathered gown with matching sandals. Lovely look.

Model Chanel Iman stunned in a metallic and black one-shouldered Zuhair Murad gown. Flawless.

“Orange is the New Black” star Uzo Aduba didn’t bring home the Golden Globes for Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Mini-Series or TV Movie, but she definitely won on the red carpet. Rather than change into a second look for the night, the breakthrough star dazzled in her halter neck Randi Rahm gown.

"Grey's Anatomy" star Jesse Williams kept it dapper in a navy blue suit, accessorizing his look with burnt orange loafers for a pop of color.

50 Cent cleaned up nice in a black tuxedo for the evening before partying it up.

"House of Lies" star Larenz Tate looked sharp for the night's festivities.

"The Voice UK" judge Rita Ora, who’s starring in the upcoming flick 50 Shades of Grey, opted for a fire red strapless Zac Posen gown with her hair swept to the back. We can catch Rita on the silver screen February 13th when her movie hits theaters.

“The Talk” co-host Aisha Tyler kept it sexy in a sequined long-sleeved mini.

John Legend was all smiles at the after party after winning Best Original Song for "Glory", alongside Common, in the civil rights film SELMA.

And his supportive wife Chrissy Teigen wasn't far behind.

Girlfriends Getaway star Garcelle Beauvais was a vision in a mint green gown with her hair swept up into a top bun. It's rumored she will be returning for her role as Loretta in Barbershop 3.

NeNe's cast mate Kenya Moore looked gorge in a red Emilio Pucci gown, Tom Ford heels and gold Fendi clutch. Work!

Also slaying in red, reality star/"The View" co-host Tamar Braxton modeled a one-shouldered Michael Costello gown that was perfection.

Tamar's daytime talkshow co-host Tamera Mowry Housley (who's expecting a baby girl in July) proudly showed off her growing baby bump in a black high slit Michael Kors gown, which she styled with gold Badgley sandals, Kimberly McDonald jewelry and a Jelly Wearstler clutch. She looks great!

"Getting On" actress Niecy Nash, standing out in a shamrock green gown, brought her husband Jay Tucker along for the fun.

"Behind Closed Doors" singer Johnny Gill was all smiles on the carpet.

During the party, Tamar caught up with Tamera and her good friend NeNe. Looking fab ladies.

Wale hit the stage in NYC over the weekend but several fans were unimpressed.  See pics of his reunion with "Bad" singer Tiara Thomas inside and watch the social media foolery go down between Wale and the disgruntled fans....

There's no "Bad" blood between Tiara Thomas and Wale?  The pair hit the stage at Irving Plaza in NYC over the weekend where they rekindled their fire.

In addition to his other hits, Wale and Tiara thrilled the audience as they performed their legendary cut.  But...the performance was too little too late for a few fans.  It seems that Wale hit the stage three hours after his "scheduled" time (allegedly).  And one fan voiced her anger on Instagram.

The conversation didn't end there because Wale reads his comments...and he READS his fans.  What came next was explosive.  Let's just say, he called her a few "Bad" names.   

SMH.....so Wale says he hit the stage late because of opening acts?  BUT, the disgruntled fans had a few more things to say.  Mainly....that he might have been drunk. 

Then......

Ooohhhh.......while a few of the fans had a "Bad" night, at least Tiara had a "good" time.  We're talking about her again...

Looks like Foxy Brown is making big moves for 2015.

Now we know why the “Ill Na Na” raptress was front-and-center (in her throwback ensemble) at Lee Daniels’ big premiere “Empire” party last month. Chick copped herself a role in the hip-hop dynasty drama and she seems ready to make her primetime television debut.

In an Instagram post, Foxy snapped a screenshot of a text conversation with the "Empire" series creator Lee Daniels, confirming her on-screen appearance, which went a little something like this:
 

Foxy captioned, "EMPIRE DYNASTY!!!!!!!! @TheOriginalBigDaddy THE MASTERMIND HAS OFFICIALLY SPOKEN! Now Y'all See Why The KING BITCH Moves In Silence GAME OVER! #FOXonFOX!" Hmm...wonder who she will be playing and if it will be a recurring role.

Also, she’s not the only rapper making cameos on the FOX drama series. Snoop Dogg is also set for a guest-starring role as himself. He’s expected to appear in Episode 11 of Season 1, according to reports.

After Matt Barnes went IN on his estranged wife/former "Basketball Wives" star Gloria Govan for “chasing fame”, Laura Govan’s ex-Gilbet Arenas is now joining in.

You’ll recall, Laura’s huge wardrobe malfunction on the red carpet at the Wedding Ringer's L.A. premiere recently. Her entire boob literally popped out of dress! Then, Laura posted up a TOPLESS behind-the-scenes photo of herself and her sister on Instagram on the set of a photoshoot, shot by Lance Gross.

Apparently, Laura's ex had enough and he's now speaking out. The former NBA baller (pictured above grocery shopping with Laura and their kids back in December) is giving his two cents on “people” wanting to be famous and spending money to look fly at red carpet events who are not even in the movies. Bloop! Sounds like the ultimate SHADE toward Laura to us.

VOGUE UK covergirl Jourdan Dunn popped up at the Burberry Prorsum show at the London Collections: Men AW15 in London today.

The British beauty got modelicious in an orange trench coat as she made her way inside Kensington Gardens before the show. Love the coat.

Once inside, the fashion model was perched front row to check out the newest men's fashions from Burberry. On Sunday, the model chick ripped the runway in some lingerie, strutting for the Moschino AW15 collection. We can expect to see her heavy on the fashion scene this year. And we're totally here for it.

The cast of SELMA celebrated a fabulous box office weekend ($11.2M) and John Legend and Common's"Glory" victory at Paramount's Golden Globes after party.  See party photos inside...

Following their win and emotional acceptance speech during the 2015 Golden Globes telecast for Best Original Song "Glory" from SELMA, winners John Legend and Common headed over to Paramount Pictures Golden Globes Post Party at The Beverly Hilton. They posed with director Ava DuVernay, who didn't take home the Golden Globe for Best Director, but still considered the weekend a great success.

Ava posted her exicted on Instagram, saying,

"What a night! Family. Friends. Fun! Had an friggin ball! Thanks to my Pops for being such a perfect date to the #GoldenGlobes. And our cast and crew who came out to party and celebrate our baby, SELMA. To Common and Legend for writing the most beautiful song for our picture and taking home the gold! YESSSSSS! To the small village that pulled me together, including my dear long-time friend @damoneroberts, the hair whisperer @lovingyourhair, makeup maven Uzo, stylists W+M, designer Zac Posen, gems by Henri Sillam. But, most especially to the thousands and thousands of folks who paid hard earned money to see SELMA nationwide on opening weekend. Who gets opening weekend and Globes weekend on the SAME weekend! Hav' mercy! So happy this morning. So grateful. All praises due. xo!"

In addition to their Hollywood celebration, the cast also raised their glasses to a great showing at the box office. The film earned $11.2 million and finished at #2 over the weekend.

And Ava gave Common's award a quick kiss. 

Oprah, who co-starred in SELMA and served as one of its producers, was also at the party celebrating with the cast. 

She posed with SELMA star David Oyelowo, whom she first met on the set of The Butler. 

David, who plays Dr. Martin Luther King in the film, is getting some serious Oscar buzz for his role.

Carmen Ejogo, who stars as Civil Rights activist, Coretta Scott King, looked amazing on the red carpet.

The Weeknd is kicking off 2015 in a rather interesting way. The R&B crooner was ARRESTED after allegedly assaulting a police officer in Las Vegas. Get all the deets inside….

Jail surely isn’t a way to kick off a new year, but sometimes ish happens.

R&B singer The Weeknd was arrested in Las Vegas on Saturday after he allegedly PUNCHED a cop. Yep…sure way to land behind bars.

The "Earned It" singer (whose track appears on the upcoming 50 Shades of Grey film) was allegedly involved in a brawl inside the Cromwell Hotel. Cops showed up on the scene around 4:20AM to break up the melee when The Weeknd allegedly punched a cop…in the head! Lordt...

TMZ reports:

We're told cops attempted to break up the fight, and one of them pulled the singer into an elevator during the scuffle. That's when Weeknd allegedly punched him in the head.

The singer -- best known for his duet "Love Me Harder" with Ariana Grande -- was instantly hauled off to jail for battery of a protected person.

 

Afterwards....

The Canadian singer was able to post bail and jet out of Vegas. He posted the picture above captioning, "escaped from Las Vegas". Let's hope The Weeknd keeps the shenanigans to a minimum for 2015.

The twosome haven't slowed down much since returning from their Thailand/Cambodian vacay.  Jay kicked off the Roc Nation Sports boxing division by signing Andre Ward and hosting the Throne Fight Night fight card recently.  And Beyonce's been chillin' with her friends and family like Angie Beyince and Michelle Williams....all while stirring up new pregnancy controversy with that buried beach pic.

Rapper Young Jeezy, who was cleared of all charges brought against him in a weapons arrest, is starting off 2015 in a new home in Atlanta.   He actually purchased the home a month BEFORE he was cleared of his charges...so dude was confident he wasn't going to jail it seems.

The McMansion costs the "Trap Star" rapper $1.5M and is in a posh area of Atlanta.

WOnder how many sneakers can fit in there....

The home boasts 6 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms and sits on 1.2 acres. 

The new home isn't the only move that Jeezy is making in the real estate game.  A few months ago, he and his Street Dreamz Foundation donated $1 million dollars to real estate company Jay Morrison Academy to teach people how to become successful in the real estate industry. #BOSSMOVES

Singer and actress Christina Milian was all smiles on the set of 'Extra' at Universal Studios Hollywood in Universal City, CA yesterday where she chatted it up Tracey Edmonds.  She rocked leather pants and a pair of interesting shoes with a lucite heels. 

Christina has big things in store for 2015. It addition to work with Lil' Wayne on "Start A Fire", Christina has a new reality show coming to E! titled "Christina Milian Turned Up."

Yesterday, she appeared on Extra! to discuss the new series which she stars in with her family, and her new journey as a member of Cash Money Records.

While Christina is still mum on the real nature of her relationship with Lil' Wayne, she did discuss working with him during a recent interview and she explained why they are keeping their 'ish private.

"We’ve definitely grown closer in the last few months. I think it’s a relationship to be protected because the world has something to say about everything. If it’s something worth anything, I think it’s best to enjoy and live for yourself. So yeah, that’s probably the best answer I can give you (laughs)."

Word has it RiRi & Leo were all up in the Playboy Mansion's tree this weekend....K-I-S-S-I-N-G.

Reports state that the two attended designer Nikki Erwin's 30th birthday party on Saturday at Hugh Heffner's crib.  And two sources told TMZ they were eye witnesses of a Rihanna-Leo hot and heavy makeout session!

Leo's people reportedly deny any of this went down, but the sources are sticking to their story.

And apparently they were getting pretty hot and heavy in front of celeb party goers Naomi Campbell, Paris Hilton, Hilary Duff and more.  So we're pretty sure drinks were involved and they gave no damns about who saw....if true.

They reportedly ended up at the same afterparty, but it's not clear if they left the party together.

Rihanna's got her R8 album on deck.  So, is this all just a ploy to drum up publicity for the new disc...or do we believe Rihanna & Leo could definitely be getting it in?

We’ve been watching Nicki Minaj’s relationship with her now ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels fizzle before our eyes, after dating for 10+ years. While Nicki has been vocal on social media about her break up, Safaree has pretty much kept quiet (outside of that one Twitter rant)….until now.

Rumors have circulated like wild fire to try to explain why the two called it quits. Was he cheating? Did she cheat on him with Meek Mill? Did she really bust the windows out of his car? Why did they keep their relationship such a secret when everyone knew they were dating? Does Nicki REALLY write her own rhymes? Did he really assault her in that Dallas hotel room? Safaree answers all of those questions and MORE.

In a new interview with Power 105’s The Breakfast Club, Safaree reveals why they decided to call it quits. And it seems it was mainly due to the fact that she started treating him like an employee, more so than her boyfriend. Respect also played a big role in their demise. He said he got tired of always having to hide the fact they were in a relationship (walking steps behind her, not being able to hold her hand, etc) because he's "an affectionate dude".

Safaree also dished on how he felt about Nicki being so flirtatious with other men (mainly Lil Wayne& Drake), the real reason they broke up, rumors about Nicki dating Meek Mill, how he feels about Nicki BASHING him in the media, if he was really suicidal after their break up and much more. You gotta sip this tea.

Below are the highlights:

On how Nicki & SB met met:
Nicki and SB were in a rap group together called Hood Starz. The group didn’t work out so she tried her solo thing and they moved to Atlanta. They were friends for like a year and half then they started dating.

On trashing Nicki in the media:
Safaree said he would never do anything publicly to bring her down. Whatever happens between them stays between them. He said he could bash her if he wanted to, but he’s not going to do that. He said it’s crazy that she’s bashing him now.

On who broke up with who:
He said, “I walked away. I’m not going to say I broke up. I walked away. I’m the one who packed my stuff and I left.”

On why he broke up with Nicki:
“It just got to the point where the respect was gone. It’s like everyone around her works for her. It got to the point where I was being treated like an employee instead of her man,” he said.

On why they kept their relationship a secret:
He said he really doesn’t understand why she wanted to keep it a secret. He said, “I just never understood that”.

On Nicki kissing Lil Wayne on the lips, giving Drake lap dances & the lyric that Wayne said about her man not hitting it right on “Only”:
“As far as the ‘Only’ song, that’s something that people on the outside took more disrespect than I did because I’ve been dealing with it for so long it seemed like the norm to me. I got numb to it. It is what it is”.

On the rumor that Nicki isnow dating Meek Mill:
He said he introduced her to Meek Mill and if that who she decides to move on with then “it is what it is”. He said he’s not mad or bitter because if he wanted to make it work he would have tried to make it work. He said you can’t put a price on your peace of mind.

On his relationship with Meek:
“He don’t owe me nothing. He’s not a childhood friend I grew up with”.

On rumors that Meek was telling Nicki that Safaree was cheating on her:
“Listen, me and her were together for me and her. No one else had anything to do with our situation. No one else had anything to do with me and her and where we are now. I know people do try to tell her stuff, but I don’t know who.”

On his relationship with Drake:
He said he doesn’t know Drake that well, but he likes him. He said he’s a respectable dude. “I don’t have a problem with him. If it wasn’t for [Lil] Wayne, none of us would be here right now”.

On how he felt when Nick co-signed with comedian Lil Duval after he called him corny:
He said, “That was the thing that made me say I got to say something. She can take a picture with whomever she wants. She can get married tomorrow and be pregnant the next day and I would wish her nothing but the best. But when you try to pull me down and discredit what I’ve done for you, that’s what’s weak to me”.

On writing Nicki’s rhymes:
“Don’t say ‘Oh, I don’t have no talent’ because every time it came to writing raps and doing music, it was me, her and a beat. She doesn’t do it by herself. It was me and her. Don’t discredit me on what I’ve done for you, that’s weak. I would never do that to her. All I’m saying is this is something me and her did together. That doesn’t take away from what she’s done. She’s at the top of her league.”

On legally getting the money he’s owed:
Safaree said what’s fair is fair and you can’t take away from things he has contributed to.

On him spending “Nicki’s money”:
He said everything that he has, they got together. He said if he wants to buy something he bought it with his money. He said there is paperwork on certain situations.

On the rumors that he assaulted Nicki in a Dallas hotel:
He said that’s not true. He said all the cars he has are in his name.

On why he thinks Nicki didn’t want him to rap:
He said, “She just wanted me to be her support system. I can’t blame her for that. I was getting to the point in this past year, as a person, I just feel like I lost myself. Even now, not being in a relationship, it’s like learning how to walk and crawl again.”

On rumors that Nicki caught him cheating:
He said he was at the wrong place at the wrong time. He said there’s no truth to him cheating with the girl the media said he was cheating on Nicki with. He added the problem has nothing to do with cheating. He said they outgrew each other and they both don’t feel respected by each other.

On what changed their relationship:
Safaree dished, “I don’t think it was money and I don’t think it was fame. When you’re that big of a brand, you’re a walking, breathing corporation. You always have to be on. It was to the point where if we go out I can’t even hold your hand, I can’t put my arm around you and I’m an affectionate dude. I like to have my arm around my chick. I don’t want to have to be walking a couple of steps behind you and acting like you not my girl. After a while, that can put a strain on somebody”.

On him dating now:
He said he doesn’t feel like it was soon. He said they’ve been broken up for about 4 months now. He said, “That’s my soulmate, we just can’t be together”. He revealed Nicki’s mother wants them to come to respectable terms.

On if they can ever get back together:
“I don’t know man. I don’t look at her like ‘wow she’s so big and so famous, I need to have her in my life’. I don’t care about that. If you don’t respect me, and it’s to the point where I can’t deal with it anymore, I’m not going to put up with it anymore. I’m not saying I’m the victim and she’s the abuser. There’s stuff that she may feel like she didn’t like the way I handled myself. It’s just the whole thing trying to pull me down publicly; I just can’t deal with that. I’m not going to be out here doing 100 interviews. I had top magazines offering me covers for exclusive interviews, top talkshows asking me to do interviews. I don’t want to do that. Now, all of a sudden I’m corny? Don’t do that. I’m not going to come out and say you’re ugly now because we aren’t together. I’m going to keep it real”.

On if he feels like she dehumanized him by not treating him like her man:
“I’ve been dehumanized so much in my life that I’m just numb to everything”.

On him being suicidal after breaking up with Nicki:
Safaree admitted there were times he felt like he didn’t want to be here anymore. He said “I think everybody’s felt like that before. It’s not an easy thing to deal with. Now, I’m happy. I’m at the point where I can see it and not be bothered. Like before, it was hard for me to be in the car and she comes on the radio or if I’m looking on Instagram and I see memes and stuff like that, it use to get to me. But now I’m to the point where it’s like, tunnel vision. It doesn’t bother me no more”.

On if he would date another celebrity:
“Yea, it doesn’t matter if a girl is a celebrity or not. If a girl can make me feel good, if a girl has respect, it is what it is”. He said he’s not trying to rush into another relationship because he’s trying to re-learn himself after losing himself. He said he’s getting use to being around people again.

On who’s around Nicki now that’s going to keep it real with her:
“I don’t know. She got her friends with her but when your friends work for you, it’s not the same thing. It’s a little different”.

On if he would work with Nicki again:
“Yea, of course I would”.

On the last time he spoke to Nicki:
“She hit me two weeks ago. It just was like ‘are you sure this is what you want us to be?’ ”

Slick Rick turns the big 5-0! And to celebrate, he hit the stage for his annual Brooklyn Bowl bash to party it up for his milestone birthday, which came complete with a performance set by Nas. Peep the celebratory pics and video inside…..

Over the weekend, Hip Hop legend Slick Rick celebrated his 50th birthday with a memorable concert performance during his annual Brooklyn Bowl bash in NYC. And to commemorate turning a half-century, Queensbridge rapper Nas joined Rick the Ruler on stage for an epic night of celebration. 

Hey sexy! Nas took it back with his extra-heavy gold chains, honoring his rap idol.

Surrounded by family and friends (including his wife Mandy Aragones-Walters), Slick Rick toasted it up with, what he calls, "Team Eye Patch" before Nas took the stage to salute the fresh & fly MC in front of a sold out crowd.

Highlighting the night, Rick was also honored with his very own day. Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. proclaimed January 9th as “Slick Rick the Ruler Day” in the Bronx. He said, “Slick Rick blended his unique fashion sense with his patented verbal flow and storytelling style to take New York and the entire world by storm, helping to put The Bronx and all five boroughs on the musical map as hip-hop continued to explode onto the scene”.

And what's a party without a decked out tiered cake, fit for Hip Hop royalty.

The Stillmatic rapper presented the birthday boy with his awesome cake and Slick seemed all too surprised.
