Are you ready for some football?  The Roc Nation sure is. And so is "House Of Lies" star Don Cheadle.  We'll explain....The NFL will kickoff Thursday night prime-time football on CBS on September 11th and the league has picked Jay Z and Rihanna's “Run This Town” as this season’s Thursday Night Football theme. The NFL released a statement saying,

“The Thursday Night Football open will be accompanied by the narration of Academy Award-nominated actor Don Cheadle. Cheadle’s narration sets the scene to kick off the NFL week on Thursday nights, highlighting the division rivalry games. And, asking the question, who will ‘Run This Town’?”

The new opening was produced and directed by 28-time Emmy Award-winer Pete Radovich who said,

“This open combines one of music’s biggest stars with one of the most dynamic actors in Hollywood. The energy that both talents provide gives the opening to every Thursday night the big-game, primetime feel it deserves. It is a dream scenario for any director.”

Wow....sounds exciting!

On Saturday, September 20th at the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center in Atlanta, GA, the ninth year annual BET Hip Hop Awards will be held. Once again, the festivities will be hosted by Snoop Dogg who said (in a BET press release),

“I’m looking forward to returning to host the BET Hip Hop Awards after the success of last year’s show. This year we are coming back with a bigger and better show, packed with surprises for everyone. You don’t want to miss it, ya hear me?”

Drake leads with eight impressive nominations for ‘Best Hip Hop Video,’ ‘Best Live Performer,’ ‘Lyricist of the Year,’ ‘MVP of the Year,’ ‘Album of the Year,’ ‘Hustler of the Year,’ ‘Sweet 16: Best Featured Verse,’ and the coveted ‘People’s Champ Award.’ He is followed by JAY Z, Future and Pharrell who each received six nods; Nicki Minaj, Rich Homie Quan and YG garnered five HHA nominations.

The show is set to air on BET on Tuesday, October 14th at 8:00 p.m. ET. Directly following the awards at 10:00 p.m. ET is the premiere of “Real Husbands of Hollywood S2: Reunion Special.”

50 Cent and his G-Unit crew stopped by “The Breakfast Club” where 50 spilled some tea on Missy Elliot and Olivia sleeping together. He also revealed when he found out Floyd Mayweather couldn’t read. Check it inside….

The newly reunited G-Unit crew, 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo made a stop at Power 105’s “The Breakfast Club” this morning. And things got rather interesting when 50 Cent started talking about G-Unit’s former R&B singer Olivia.

During the interview, radio personality Charlamagne bought up a comment Olivia made previously about 50 having a problem with her working in the studio with Missy Elliot. Probably not a good idea because 50 revealed Olivia and Missy Elliot were actually sleeping together! He said,

“I don’t have no problems. Missy started hitting it if you really want to know. See it’s her fault for actually saying that to you.”

OH?!

He also talked about when he found out Floyd Mayweather couldn’t read:

“He has a hard time, he really do. He’ll pass it. Anything you give him [that he has to read] he’ll give it to Ms. Jackson or give it to somebody else to look at it.”

This year, "The View" will be VERY Rosie.  In addition to the hiring of former moderator Rosie O'Donnell, we've just learned that Oscar-nominated "Fearless" star Rosie Perez will also join the panel!  Rosie will take her seat on the panel, starting September 15th.  She released a statement saying,

"I am beyond thrilled, honored and completely surprised that I've been asked to join "The View." Knowing that I'll be in the company of Whoopi, Rosie and Nicolle, three very smart and engaging women that I have an immense amount of respect for, makes it even more unbelievable. Introducing....

Keo Motsepe holds the distinction of being the first Black professional dancer added to the cast of "DWTS."  He was born in South Africa and started dancing at the age of five. In 2014, Keo toured with “Burn the Floor” as principal dancer on the Australian and Japan tours and made his television debut performing as a professional guest on Strictly Come Dancing South Africa in 2013.

Should we expect fireworks from Keo and Lolo?  During a recent interview, he said, “There’s a number I’m going to on the show that will be very romantic, and when I do romantic numbers, I’m very real....I can’t say there will be romance, but I can’t say there won’t be.”

All hail Queen Bey! Beyonce celebrates her 33rd birthday today. And after an incredible year of worldwide tours, slaying magazine covers, topping music charts and epic performances, it’s only right we give one of the greatest entertainers of our time her due credit.

After Beyonce broke the Internet with the surprise release of her self-titled fifth studio album, she has been a force to be reckoned with. Beyonce debuted at the No.1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart, making it her fifth (yes FIFTH) consecutive No. 1 album in the U.S. And not only that, she damn near shattered iTunes, selling 828,773 units in the first three days since its release!

Mrs. Carter released her hit album during her epic "Mrs. Carter World Tour" (averaging $2.4 million per show), which included a whooping 132 performances. She literally traveled all across the world (with Blue Ivy in tow) ending her tour in Lisbon, Portugal late March.

Then in April, the “Partition” singer announced she was headed back on the road for a joint tour with her husband Jay Z. Mr. & Mrs. Carter went “On The Run” and grossed over $100 million in ticket sales. Also in April, Bey landed the cover of TIME magazine’s 100 Most Influential People Issue and was named the most influential person in the world!

Ja Rule is heading to MTV with a need family-themed reality show "Follow The Rules."  Watch the trailer inside and get the deets on the bizarre rant that landed Blu Cantrell in the hospital.

It looks like Ja Rule's comeback will involve reality tv.  You'll recall that Ja was released from jail recently (he did 2-years for tax evasion and gun possession) and now he's heading to MTV in a new family-themed show "Follow The Rules." 

The show stars Ja and his wife and will also feature his two sons, mother, and mother-in-law, who ALL live with them. Meanwhile, his oldest daughter is about to start her sophomore year in college.

In other news.....

Singer Blu Cantrell, who had a huge hit with "Hit 'Em Up Style (Oops!)" in 2001 was hospitalized after a bizarre rant this morning.  According to police, Blu was running through the streets of a Santa Monica neighborhood at 2am where she had been screaming about people trying to kill her and someone giving her "poisonous gas."

The cops were called and she was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation. So far....her reps (assuming she still has a team) have not provided any updates and she is silent on Twitter.  We will keep you posted....

When she’s not taking Baby Future on an afternoon stroll, new mommy Ciara is snapping the cutest selfies with her cuddly baby boy.

Ciara and little Future shared some bonding time with matching outfits and stunner shades. Future Jr. was styling and profiling in his mini Ray Ban sunglasses and Boy London t-shirt. And CiCi shared the mother-son moment on Instagram with the caption, "Me and My Baaaby!!:) He Loves Selfie Time:) Rockin Our #BigRayBans #LittleRayBans #BoyLondonTees"

Although it was reported that CiCi and Daddy Future have called it quits, new reports say the two have reconciled for the sake of their 3-month-old son.

You’ll recall Ciara allegedly called off their engagement after she learned that Future was allegedly cheating on her. But she may have put all of that behind her for the sake of her son. People in Future’s camp tell TMZ that the “Honest” rapper and CiCi are back to living in the same house. Oh?

Sounds like Future's PR team is hard at work.

Defensive tackle Devon Still’s dreams came true when he was added to the Cincinnati Bengals' roster. But it was short lived after he learned the team had decided to cut him on Saturday.

In a turn of events, the NFL team granted Devon a second chance by re-signing him to the practice squad. Why? Well, Devon’s 4-year-old daughter Leah had been diagnosed with stage 4 pediatric cancer in June.

The 25-year-old rookie explained he hadn’t been on his “A” game because he couldn’t focus on playing while his daughter was battling a deadly disease. He told ABC News,

“I completely understand where the Bengals were coming from when they cut me because I couldn’t give football 100 percent right now.”

Devon called the team re-signing him a “blessing in disguise” because now he’s able to keep his health insurance to help pay for his daughter’s doctor’s visits and medications. As a practice squad player, Devon will receive a weekly salary of $6,300. He will also be able to be with his daughter during her treatments since he will do a lot less traveling as a practice squad player. He added,

“We’re going to go to battle with cancer. She’s willing to put up a fight to beat it.”

Floyd Mayweather's ex-fiancee Shantell Jackson is ready to fight...in court.  Get the deets on why she's suing the champ inside and why Lamar Sally rejected Sherri Shepherd $100K lawsuit.

Shantel Jackson, Floyd Mayweather's ex-fiancee, (and current boo of Nelly) held a press conference today (alongside her lawyer Gloria Allred) where she accused Floyd of getting physical with her on several occasions and even pulling a gun on her. And don't forget the time her posted her ultrasound and accused her of killing their babies!

She began the press conference with this statement -

“There was a point in my relationship with Floyd that I thought we would be together forever. I loved him so much and I made sure that I took care of him the best I knew how.

I tried my best to make our relationship work by compromising and going to relationship counseling, but I finally realized that there was no hope and our relationship could not continue.

I loved Floyd deeply but he continued to disappoint and intentionally hurt me. I have been embarrassed and humiliated more than I can ever imagine by Floyd whom I once called my best friend and fiancé.

I have tried everything that I could and I have given Floyd every opportunity to do the right thing. Unfortunately, he has refused every opportunity to make things right. It is with a heavy heart that I finally realized that the only way to set the record straight to achieve justice for what he has done to me is through the filing of this lawsuit.”

Among the claims her lawsuit:

• -“He twisted [her] arm, choked her and forcibly took her phone away from her to look through it.”
• -In April 2013, he “bent her arm, restrained her, and pointed a gun at her foot, asking ‘Which toe do you want me to shoot?’”
• -He demanded her to remove her 17 carat diamond engagement ring at gunpoint.
• -He invaded her privacy, posting photos of her sonogram on social media — and claimed the “real” reason they broke up is because she “killed out twin babies.”

She’s suing for assault, battery, defamation, invasion of privacy, intentional infliction of emotional distress, harassment and more.

In other legal shockers.....

Funnywoman Sherri Shepherd's ex Lamar Sally just reject her $100K divorce settlement offer - and it's no laughing matter!  You'll recall that the couple had a NASTY split a few months ago, right around the time we learned they had a baby on the way (via surrogate).

Fast forward to now, Lamar has rejected the divorce settlement ($100,000 lump sum payout) and $3,000 in monthly child support for HIS baby boy. that Sherri has offered him.   According to Radar Online, Lamar is contesting the couple's "ironclad prenup" AND said he wants $10,000 a month in child support!  Hmmm.....this is going to get even messier.  A source close to the situation says the divorce will likely go to trial.

Chris Brown graces the newest cover of Billboard, while Taraji P. Henson stuns on the cover of Rolling Out magazine. Peep their covers and what they dished on inside….

R&B bad boy Chris Brown has had his fair share of legal woes over the years. And in the latest issue of Billboard magazine, the “Loyal” singer opens up about accepting his mistakes and moving forward.

Just days ago, the “New Flame” singer accepted a plea deal and pled guilty in his Washington D.C. assault case. And before that, Suge Knight was shot multiple times at a pre-VMA party Chris was hosting. It seems trouble is always lurking around the corner, but he’s not letting his legal troubles keep him from perfecting his craft.

As he gears up for the release of his sixth studio album X (Sept. 16th), Breezy is showing us a side of him we don’t often see. In his first post-prison interview, Chris talks about living his life in the limelight, life behind bars and what he thinks of his ex-girlfriend Rihanna now.

In an excerpt he told Billboard,

"I realize that what I do for a living opens my life to public scrutiny and that I have a responsibility to everyone because of that exposure," Brown tells Billboard. "I can say that I am only human and I have made mistakes. I can say that I try to live my life in the most true, honest way that I can. I am not perfect, no one is. No one is harder on me than me. No one can please everyone. No one can live in the past and expect to grow. I have been moving forward and hope that I am not defined by just a few moments in my life but all of the moments that will make up my life."

Fab chick Taraji P. Henson is the cover girl for this week’s Rolling Out magazine issue. The No Good Deed actress got red hot in a two-piece Marissa Webb number paired with Marissa Webb black and gold metallic tipped pumps.

Before her new film (that she’s also executive producing) hits theaters, the upcoming “Empire” actress chopped it up with the magazine about defying all the odds and accomplishing what no other woman in her family has ever been able to do. She also dished on when she finally decided to get with her acting and the moment she realized she could actually make it Hollywood.

On building her empire:
“Everything that I’ve worked for … I have built an empire in one generation. My son [Marcel] does not remember the bad times. I preach to him that he should protect it as well. I’ve done what my mother wasn’t able to do or her mother. That’s pretty huge. I emphasize him protecting it as well, with social media, [telling him to] be careful what you put out there. They are going to try to get to me through you,” she explains.

On when she started to take acting seriously:
“My whole life, I performed in front of anybody who’d listen. I got serious about it when I saw my Howard University colleagues make it. I would attend the movies and ask, ‘Is that Paula Jai Parker?’ ‘Is that Anthony Anderson?’ I realized I could do this and really make money. Even though I studied it, it seemed so far removed and I wondered if I’d be a starving theater actress.”

“We have great people to look up to; alumnae Lynn Whitfield, Debbie Allen and Phylicia Rashad. I went into the program with a lot hope. It was when I saw my actual peers book jobs, I told myself, ‘I can do this!’ It’s when I got really serious about it.”

Budding singer/actress Willow Smith has done an interesting cover of "Easy Easy", a hit record from indie-rock artist King Krule.  While Willow has released a few hit singles ("Whip My Hair", "Fireball") and a few collaborations ("8" with Kitty Cash), there's no word if she's going to do a full album.  For now....she's very comfortable being a cool kid who explores her many talents.

Chris Brown and his boo Karrueche Tran were spotted shopping in LA while Amber Rose grabbed a cup off coffee.  See the candids inside...

Yesterday, "New Flame" singer Chris Brown was spotted getting in some retail therapy with girlfriend Karrueche Tran on Melrose Avenue.

While puffing on what appears to be a Newport, the R&B crooner seems to be in good spirits as he preps for the release of his long-delayed album "X" (in stores September 16th).

Chris recently sat for an in-depth interview with Billboard Magazine (he's also the cover boy) where he opened up about moving on from his past.  As we told you earlier, he recently accepted a plea deal in the DC assault case that landed him in jail.

He told the mag, "No one is harder on me than me. No one can please everyone. No one can live in the past and expect to grow. I have been moving forward and hope that I am not defined by just a few moments in my life but all of the moments that will make up my life."

Also in the LA area...

Amber Rose was seen getting a manicure in Studio City alongside her mother Shauna Soares.

Over the weekend, Amber raised eyebrows (and maybe a few other body parts) when she posted a twerk video to "Ass Drop" to celebrate  Wiz Khalifa's #1 album.

Following her manicure, Amber (rocking "Black & Yellow") headed over to Starbucks for a refeshing cup of iced cofee.

Pregnancy suits Kelly very well. Her skin had a radiant glow and it looks like her workout routine is really paying off. 

Kell's husband Tim Witherspoon was right by her side as she added another high end item to her branding empire.  You'll recall Kelly also landed a high-end deal with Jaguar as their brand ambassador. 

It looks like all of her fans and supporters were impressed by her collection of oversized watches too.  

In a press release about her collection, Kelly said,“ I love the statement wearing a big watch makes and they just get what it is to be fun and stylish at the same time. ”

And if you are have trouble making a decision about Kelly's watches, she has a few suggestions, "I just love the simple, elegant look of my new TW Steel. Love is definitely in the air our YBF athletes.  You'll recall that Evelyn Lozada got engaged to LA Dodgers player Carl Crawford, Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade walked down the aisle with Gabrielle Union over the weekend and now, Oklahoma Thunder star Russell Westbrook is prepping to make that leap with his fiancee Nina Earl.

Russell and Nina (who met in college at UCLA) made the announcement on Instagram earlier, after he popped the question with a 6-piece elongated cushion cut ring (worth $700k) from Jason of Beverly Hills. After she said yes, he posted a pic of Nina on his timeline with the caption, "Nothing even matters..@ninamri3_ forever my lady!LOVE YOU!!!!"

Nick Cannon is shooting down reports that be blabbed about his marriage (and alleged split) from Mariah Carey.  In a very long rant (which we've captured for you) Nick blasts reports that say he confirmed a split from Mimi.  While reaffirming his love for Mariah, he also asks for privacy as they work through "this process."  It's interesting to note that Nick never says they aren't getting a divorce - he simply says that he's never said anything about it.

Calling all fashionistas! It’s that time of year once again. Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2015 runway shows are taking over the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in NYC. And some YBF celebs made their way to the front row of some of the hottest designers’ shows.

British singer/songwriter Estelle, in her street glam look, hit up the Marissa Webb fashion show with TRESemme at The Salon yesterday.

She bumped into "One Love" singer Elle Varner before taking their seats on the front row to check out Marissa Webb’s runway looks. The R&B chicks enjoyed the show alongside singers Olivia Somerlyn and Jacquie Lee.

Estelle also snapped a pic with the lady of the hour, Marissa Webb.

And Elle had some front-row selfie fun with Australian musicians Nervo Music.

Fashion queen Kimora Lee Simmons was also on the New York Fashion Week scene. She was spotted on set at the Lincoln Center. And it appears she’s tapping some type of special for E! News.

Possibly a Joan Rivers tribute? Time will tell...

We're just two days away from the fifth and final season of HBO's hit drama series "Boardwalk Empire,” and last night the YBF stars of the show hit the red carpet at the HBO Boardwalk Empire's “Boardwalk Backroom” 1930s themed event at Minton’s and The Cecil's in Harlem.

Michael K. Williams, a.k.a. Chalky White, got dapper in a cobalt blue tailored suit and purple suede loafers.

In the upcoming season, which takes place in the depths of the Depression in 1931, Chalky is ready to take advantage of an opportunity to extricate himself from a difficult opportunity. Wonder how he’s going to react once he finds out that Nucky was the one behind the botched assassination attempt on Dr. Valentin Narcisse (Jeffrey Wright), which resulted in the death of his daughter?

Margot Bingham, who plays jazz-and-blues chanteuse Daughter Maitland, looked gorge in a purple David Helwan two-piece crop top and skirt paired with Betsey Johnson peep-toe pumps and a Free People hat. We’re anxious to see what will come of her and Chalky’s relationship in the new season.

DJ D-Nice (Derrick Jones) provided the tunes for last night’s HBO event. He shared his full-circle moment via Instagram saying, “I'm having a real moment right now. I spent most of my childhood in Harlem. On 118th Street. Right now, I'm djing the series finale party for HBO's Boardwalk Empire two doors away from the very stoop I used to play at as a child. I love life. I'm so humbled right now. #BrandNice”

Michael took a moment to chop it up with the media about the show's upcoming final series.

We’ve all been watching Columbus Short’s legal woes publicly run its course. And now, one of his former co-stars is coming for him for his bad decision making.

Former “Stomp the Yard” actor Darrin Dewitt took to his Twitter account to blast his former associate for his alleged domestic violence accusations, recent arrests and getting FIRED from the hit ABC drama series “Scandal.” In so many words, Darrin called Columbus dysfunctional, an alcoholic and ignorant!

Not sure what prompted Darrin to come for Columbus, but the former "Scandal" star could use a dose of some tough love.

“Love & Hip Hop ATL” star Benzino is still airing out his co-stars Stevie J and Joseline Hernandez’s dirty laundry. If you have been keeping up with the reunion shows, you saw Joseline attack Benzino’s fiancé Althea Heart and Zino on the last episode.

Stevie's former bestie has been going at his former friend and his wife on social media since they fell out on the show. And most recently, he revealed HE was the one who had to help the couple during a difficult time. According to him, they are broke! And he’s the one who paid to have their gas and lights turned back on at their "mansion," just one month before the reunion taping.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell was the lady of the hour (in a black laser-cut two-piece number) at The Daily Front Row 2nd Annual Fashion Media Awards at Park Hyatt in NYC. The 44-year-old legend was honored with the Best TV Personality of the Year Award, presented by W Magazine’s fashion and style director Edward Enninful.

The Harper's Bazaar Mexico/Latin America cover girl posed it up alongside models Gigi Hadid, Alessandra Ambrosio, Kendall Jenner, Christy Turlington Burns, Lindsey Wixson and Liu Wen. And she's clearly giving the younger models a run for their money.

The British beauty also caught up with "Orange Is the New Black" standout Laverne Cox and snapped a pic with Edward Enninful.

Former “Saved By The Bell” star Lark Voorhies has been hitting the L.A. scene quite a bit recently. And white seems to be her new theme color. Earlier this week she was spotted (donning heavy makeup) at the Hollywood Farmer’s Market dressed in white and a few weeks before that, she was spotted in all white on the beach in what appears to have been a photoshoot.

On yesterday, Lark got dressed in a Marilyn Monroe-esque white dress and blonde wig before making her way to the Hollywood Walk of Fame to pay her respects to comedian/E! ”Fashion Police” co-host Joan Rivers. A special memorial with tons of flowers, candals and cards was set-up on her star for fans to mourn her sudden passing.
 

Many YBF celebs have expressed their condolences on social media, reacting to the 81-year-old’s untimely death.

A week after suffering cardiac arrest during a medical procedure at the Yorkville Endoscopy clinic, Joan died at Manhattan's Mount Sinai hospital Thursday afternoon.

An autopsy for the media trailblazer has been completed, but with very little answers. Her autopsy results came up inconclusive and further studies will be needed to determine her cause of death. Meanwhile, her funeral arrangements have been made and she will be laid to rest at Temple Emanu-El in Manhattan on Sunday. No word on the actual time of the ceremony and if the public will be allowed to attend.
 

The former kid star also bumped into Daniel DiCriscio, James Pitt and Anna Easteden for a photo-op. LIFETIME’s “The Unauthorized Saved By The Bell Story” (which chronicled the behind-the-scenes happenings of the show) premiered Monday…did any of you watch?

Fresh off his YEEZUS tour stop at Perth Arena Friday night, Kanye West and his wife Kim Kardashian West hopped off a plane in Adelaide, Australia and went straight to grab a bite to eat.

During some down time, the newlyweds hit up global foodie/British celebrity chef Jamie Oliver’s brand new spot called Jamie’s Italian. The restaurant just recently opened its doors to the public this week.

Little North West was left behind while her parents enjoyed dinner with friends. Wonder if they all gawked over Kim’s new naked GQ spread and praised her GQ “Woman of the Year” award over dinner…

Looks like Monroe and Moroccan had loads of fun sliding down a water slide and frolicking through the yard.

Nick Cannon recently took to his Twitter to defend his soon-to-be ex-wife, requesting the media and fans to give them their privacy as they work through this process. He confessed he will always have unconditional love for Mariah and is forever indebted to her for blessing him with their children.

The CFDA Style Icon celebrated with the designer behind her jaw-dropping Josephine Baker-inspired rhinestone encrusted 2014 CFDA Fashion Awards ensemble. The two have also collaborated on Rih’s River Island collections and he has styled the Bajan beauty on many of her tours.

Loves it. Wonder where she'll pop up next.

Nicki Minaj stepped out on the red carpet at the Moet & Chandon and Belvedere Vodka to toast to Harper's Bazaar Icons at The Plaza Hotel.

The “Anaconda” raptress dominated the carpet in an oxblood Marc Jacobs (whom she often references in her lyrics) shirt and skirt two-piece paired with nude platform pumps. We feelin' it?
