Now it’s one thing to come for an adult in the entertainment industry. But there’s a fine line when it comes to their kids. And Karrueche crossed that line when she appeared on BET’s “106 & Park” as a gust host yesterday.

After Beyonce gave us our life with her MTV VMA performance and Blue Ivy melting our hearts when she presented her mom (along with her dad Jay Z) with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, came some nationally televised shade. And Kae was the one leaning the palm tree.

During her guest hosting gig on the BET countdown show (standing next to other guest host Brandon Broady), Chris Brown’s on-again/off-again girlfriend participated in a segment called “Top Six Things Blue Ivy Thought About The VMAs.”

Kae chimes in and says, “I really did wake up like this because my parents never comb my hair [laughs] Sorry Blue!”

No really…she said it. And yes, BET was one of the causes of it.  The fact ANYBODY would think THIS type of ish is A-OK to say about a 2-year-old child....on national television....and think it's funny....we just can't.

Hmph! Karruche and her exotical privilege needs to fall back…

Now…we do understand that she was reading from a teleprompter, but it had to occur to her before she started reading that this just...isn't right. Or maybe BET changed things at the last minute? (Could they likely be salty over Bey's BET video performance?)

Either way….you KNOW the BEYgency let Kae HAVE it on social media! And after getting dragged with tweets and retweets for the comments, she offered up an apology. First she tweeted:

Then she issued out an official statement which read,

“I am a huge Beyonce fan and I love Blue Ivy. I apologize for the comment and wish I had a chance to review the revised script so that I could have avoided participating in that segment. I love that Blue is able to wear her natural hair. I laugh when I am nervous and when I registered what I had just said, I of course was taken aback.”

And there is at least one BET employee who’s taking up for Karrueche and he’s placing the blame on BET for a bad judgment call. President of Music Programming and Specials for BET Networks Stephen G. Hill issued a series of tweets apologizing for the "unthoughtful" joke and revealed they have already spoke with Bey & Jay and issued an apology to them as well.

He wrote,

The fact an employee of a black-focused (yet not black owned) television show even thought for a second this could be funny, says a lot about the BET environment itself.

Just two days after Usher and Nicki Minaj lit up the MTV VMAs stage with a booty-bumping performance of "She Came To Give It To You", Ursh has released the official video.  Check it inside....

Usher is back in the club, dancing it up and giving "You Don't Have To Call" tease.  In his brand new video for "She Came To Give It To You," Ursh flexes his dance skills while keeping his eye on one lucky lady in particular - "Hit The Floor" star (and professionally trained ballerina) Taylour Paige.

In the Philip Andelman-directed video, the singer teams up with Nicki Minaj halfway through the song for her to spit a few bars, and the night ends upside down....on a rooftop.  Check it below:

Her divorce drama may be putting her and her soon-to-be-ex husband Nick Cannon through the ringer, but Mariah Carey has been attempting to out on a brave--yet puffy--face for the media.  Check out the diva out and about around her Tribeca, NY apartment yesterday inside...

In true MiMi fashion, the "#Beautiful" singer grabbed her oversized hat and matching black and white dress and snug YSL sandals to take the twins Monroe and Morocan to lunch at Luzzo's in Tribeca.  Nope, not the Derby.  But that doesn't stop MiMi from dressing the part:

Little Miss Monroe is growing up and looking absolutely adorable.  Her comedian/actor dad Nick Cannon said his focus is keeping the twins' lives as stable as possible...and offering them a more emotionally stable environment since Mariah's mental state is "questionable."

Hmmm...that may explain why she stepped out of her apartment like this the night before:

Not sure if the puffy face was from crying the day away (Nick had also just left the apartment looking like he had been through something)....or some other "treatment".  But chick threw on her raincoat....in the NY heat...and oversized shades to move through the night. 

Interestingly, Nick Cannon's grandfather has spoken candidly about the split.  Life + Style magazine, some kind of way, caught up with James Cannon.  And he revealed that Nick, Mariah and the kids visited him recently...and showed no signs of trouble in paradise.  But the united front could have all been for show as to not upset him:

“Mariah, Nick and the twins [Moroccan and Monroe] were by here before I went into the hospital for three weeks"

“They were doing all right — there was no breakup then...anything could have happened. You can’t tell.”

Hope everything works out amicably for those two...

All you Boardwalk Empire fans…get ready! Season 5 is approaching (September 7th at 9pm on HBO), but first, get a recap of how the YBF stars took over Seasons 1-4 inside…

The Prohibition Era has never been this powerful and dramatic, until Boardwalk Empire entered the picture. With a historically accurate storyline, we get to see how certain cities survived when sales of alcohol were forbidden. Gangster style.

As for two of everyone's must have characters….read on for how Chalky White, played by Michael K. Williams and Dr. Valentin Narcisse, played by Jeffrey Wright became the powerhouses of HBO's "Boardwalk Empire".

Michael K. Williams becomes one to watch, thanks to his breakout role as a powerful African American gangster Chalky White in Season 1. He becomes a major partner of the head money man in charge—Enoch "Nucky" Thompson, the Atlantic City Treasurer. Nucky arranges a repacking and bootlegging deal with a number of his associates to get into the bootlegging business, in order to pay finances for the city.

Chalky becomes one of Nucky’s (above) major alcohol suppliers after he fires Philadelphia bootlegger, Micky Doyle is under suspicion by the Department of Prohibition.  Chalky desperately has to protect his neck when a bitter Doyle allows a gang he owed loan money to…to put out a hit on Chalky's life. The murder attempt fails when the gang mistakenly lynches Chalky’s driver instead of the bootlegger himself. After Chalky seeks for revenge, ish gets real for the seasons to come.

Run-ins with the KKK, who were manipulated by gangs to attack Chalky's bootleg warehouses and his people, set off Season 2 with a vengeance. And by Season 3, the drama amongst the bootleggers, gangs and leader Nucky is so intense that Nucky, his wife and kids go on the run to protect their lives. Throughout the series, he continues to turn to Chalky for help.

By Season 4, Chalky tries his hand at running the Onyx Club on the Boardwalk, but as with most gangsters who try to have one clean hand, things go awry. His right hand, Dunn Purnsley gets into "trouble" with a booking agent and his wife. 

Harlem Kingpin Dr. Valentin Narcisse, puts major pressure on Chalky once he learns that Dunn murdered the booking agent (also known to be Narcisse’s employee).

Narcisse books jazz singer Daughter Maitland to perform at The Cotton Club. And in no time, Chalky and Maitland fall for each other. At least that's what it seems…until Maitland reveals her true alliance to Narcisse. And all seems to be an opportunity for Maitland to commit the ultimate set up—get close to Chalky so that Maitland can come in and wreck shop on him. But when the time comes for Narcisse’s newly staffed undercover employee Dunn Purnsley to get the opportunity to kill Chalky…Maitland just can’t bring herself to let it happen. And she kills Dunn herself.

Once Maitland is punished by Narcisse, Chalky gets dragged into a war neither he nor Nucky wanted to be in. At the same time Chalky's daughter, Maybelle learns about his affair…Chalky attempts and fails to kill Narcisse.  
 
It’s just a matter of time before Narcisse has something over Chalky's partner Nucky…which causes Nucky to betray Chalky and hand over his head to the enemy.  He ends up giving Chalky a heads up to slip out of town, but it’s too late as Narcisse's people are on top of the plan, and end up kidnapping his daughter. Although he is quick to standoff against big time gangsters, we learn that Chalky has a soft spot for Maybelle.

After Chalky plots and bluffs to get his daughter back, Maybelle is killed when a sniper shot nabs her when it was really intended for her father.

Seems like the last and final season of the series, Season 5, will have Chalky White & Dr. Narcisse perched and ready for even bigger battles, with much more at stake!

The pair met on the set of “OITNB” where Lauren is a series writer and Samira is now a series regular.  A few months ago, we hinted at the notion that the two were dating - and now it's official!

Their hookup story is pretty interesting since Lauren wrote an open letter a few months ago, revealing that she identified as “straight” until she began writing “OITNB.”

“I realized I was gay in fall 2012, one of my first days on the set. It wasn’t so much one thing, but the sum of many small details: how uncomfortable I felt around groups of lesbians or how I considered myself (shrug) a “not very sexual person.

When considered alone, these seemed like little quirks that made me me. I went through it all on set: I fell in love with a woman, and I watched my life play out on screen. And now, as we are gearing up for the release of season 2, it feels liberating and appropriate to live my life in front of you.'

50 Cent& G-Unit stopped by Chelsea Handler's final show last night. Watch them perform "Watch Me" inside and see Tyga, Wiz Khalifa, Russell Westbrook and other celebs who appeared.

Last night, host Chelsea Handler said goodbye to her E! chatfest "Chelsea Lately".  She wrapped up her seven years by bringing out a bunch of celebs, including ex-boyfriend 50 Cent (who exchanged in some very flirty banter with her), Gwen Stefani, Loni Love, Sandra Bullock, Jennifer Aniston and Mary McCormack.  

Later, rappers Tyga and Wiz Khalifa (below) were joined by NBA baller/Barneys designer Russell Westbook and other celebs who sang an original song, "Good-Bye To E!", to close the live one-hour finale event.  Silly.

Wiz seemed to be in good spirits although his concert schedule was throw for a loop recently after a shooting/death at one concert site and the arrest of tour mate Jeezy.  But there's also good news for Wiz -- his new album Blacc Hollywood just nabbed the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart!

50 Cent's crew G-Unit is never one to shy away from an opportunity.  So they performed their new song “Watch Me” off the newly-released EP Beauty Of Independence.

Sexy Idris Elba and the fab Taraji P. Henson are starring in a new crime thriller that we're all twiddling our thumbs about and waiting on its arrival. So last night, they hit up the No Good Deed L.A. screening and had some fun promoting their new flick. Peep their silliness (and sexiness) inside…

No Good Deed lead actor and actress Idris Elba and Taraji P. Henson made it a fun night on the carpet at the Regal Cinemas in L.A. for a special screening of their new crime thriller film.

The British-born actor was laid back with his attire, wearing a black t-shirt and black denim.  But y'all know we would be on ferocious attack mode to just touch him no matter what he was--or wasn't--wearing.

But, Ms. Henson got fiery in a red crop top and skirt by Marissa Webb. She finished her look with a pair of pointed-metallic toe Marissa Webb pumps and a sleek asymmetrical bob. Loves it!

These two look like they had a load of fun on the carpet before checking out their feature film. Although the movie is somewhat dark, with Idris playing a villian, we’re sure it was all GOOD on set...

And on late night TV last night….

Idris stopped by “Jimmy Kimmel Live” to promote his upcoming flick.

During the show, Jimmy asked if Idris had completed the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. The actor admitted he had been nominated but hadn’t had the chance to participate. So Jimmy offered to drench him on his show…and he accepted.  Unfortunately, he kept his shirt on.

He nominated Bradley Cooper, co-star Taraji P. Henson and Prince Harry. Ha! Check it above.

Rihanna just wrapped up her “Monster” tour with Eminem, so she and her girlies trekked it to Capri for some R&R.  You know they love their boats and bikinis.  See their vacay pics inside…

After rocking the mic with Eminem for their last “Monster” tour stop in Detroit on Saturday, Rihanna and her girlfriends high-tailed to Capri for some rest, relaxation and good times. And as you can see, Rih didn’t waste any time stripping down to a sexy bikini as she enjoyed the sunset.

Rih and her homies Jenn, Leandra and Ciarra have been about that yacht life, traveling the beautiful Tyrrhenian Sea.

The girls had a little fun during dinner as Rih posed it up for a few pics in a strapless white knit dress.

And last night, an active volcano was the backdrop for their swanky dinner. Rih tweeted,“Sailed up to an active volcano for dinner #bucketlistshit”  Must be nice!

Serena Williams advanced to round two of the U.S. Open after defeating 18-year-old Taylor Townsend, who made an impressive showing during the match. But what we're most impressed about -- is that two YBF chicks took over the US Open last night.  Watch the ladies is action inside.... 

No. 1-ranked and No. 1-seed tennis champ Serena Williams advances in the U.S. Open after a crushing defeat of Taylor Townsend, an 18-year-old Chicago native, who made her debut at the U.S. Open as a wild card.

It was an interesting scene in Flushing Meadows as Serena battled a young prodigy whom some have dubbed "the future of tennis". Taylor, who won the junior girls Australian Open in 2012, was the first American to hold the No. 1 year-end world ranking for junior girls since 1982.

Taylor took the defeat in stride....since it came at the hands of one of her idols.  Speaking about Serena, she told USA Today,

"She's an African-American woman from Compton, California, who has won 17 or 16 Grand Slam titles. Like, who would have thought? Anything is possible. She's paved the way for me and not only African-American girls but girls in general, people in general. Just has changed the game of tennis. I think I've just learned, like, from her story that anything is possible."

Thanks to her victory, Serena's bid for a third consecutive U.S. Open title continues.  And we are totally her for it.  Congrats!

K. Michelle put on a live show for Touch the Mic Tuesdays in Fort Lauderdale last night. And if you look closely, you can see she’s rockin her Dream Chasers medallion. Mmhmm…more inside….

Last night, K. Michelle and her long Poetic Justice braids took the stage at Cafe Iguana Pines megaplex for a live performance in Fort Lauderdale, FL, sponsored by Hennessy VS.

The “Can’t Raise A Man” singer performed some tracks from her debut album Rebllious Soul before a packed house of screaming fans. And as you can see, chick was stanning for incarcerated rapper Meek Mill. She was flexin’ in her Dream Chasers medallion and during her performance she stopped to sing the hook of Meek’s “Who You’re Around” featuring Mary J. Blige.

She also shouted out, “FREE MEEK” in between tracks.

We’re sure you all remember the fallout between K and her former friend Elle Varner. In a recent interview with Hot 97, K revealed the real reason she called out Elle on social media. And according to her, it had nothing to do with Meek Mill. The "VSOP" singer claims she came for the “Cold Case” singer because she stole one of her favorite songs to use for herself.

But it sounded more like she was butt-hurt because Elle was hanging out and hugging up on her"boo" Meek.

In yet another example of police misconduct, an award-winning producer missed a chic pre-Emmy bash after cops detained him for "fitting the description" of a robbery suspect.  All while he was simply walking to his car after leaving a restaurant.  More inside...

On Monday, film and television producer Charles Belk expressed outrage after he was detained, handcuffed and imprisoned by Beverly Hills Police. He recounted the shocking story on Facebook in a post titled, WHEN YOU "FIT THE DESCRIPTION":  

It’s one of those things that you hear about, but never think it would happen to you.  On Friday afternoon, August 22nd around 5:20pm, while innocently walking by myself from a restaurant on Wilshire Blvd, to my car up LaCienega Blvd my freedom was taken from me by the Beverly Hills Police Department. Within seconds, I was detained and told to sit on the curb of the very busy street, during rush hour traffic.

Within minutes, I was surrounded by 6 police cars, handcuffed very tightly, fully searched for weapons, and placed back on the curb.

Within an hour, I was transported to the Beverly Hills Police Headquarters, photographed, finger printed and put under a $100,000 bail and accused of armed bank robbery and accessory to robbery of a Citibank.

Within an evening, I was wrongly arrested, locked up, denied a phone call, denied explanation of charges against me, denied ever being read my rights, denied being able to speak to my lawyer for a lengthy time, and denied being told that my car had been impounded…..All because I was mis-indentified as the wrong “tall, bald head, black male,” ... "fitting the description."

I get that the Beverly Hills Police Department didn’t know at the time that I was a law abiding citizen of the community and that in my 51 years of existence, had never been handcuffed or arrested for any reason. All they saw, was someone fitting the description. Doesn't matter if he's a "Taye Diggs BLACK", a "LL Cool J BLACK", or "a Drake BLACK"

I get that the Beverly Hills Police Department didn’t know that I was a well educated American citizen that had received a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, an MBA from Indiana University (including a full Consortium Fellowship to business school) and an Executive Leadership Certificate from Harvard Business School. Hey, I was "tall", "bald", a "male" and "black", so I fit the description.

I get that the Beverly Hills Police Department didn’t know that just hours earlier, I was at one of the finest hotels in their city, handling celebrity talent at a Emmy Awards Gifting Suite, as part of business as usual, and, invited to attend a VIP Emmy pre-party that very night in their city. The guy doing that, just DON"T fit the description.

What I don’t get………WHAT I DON”T GET, is, why, during the 45 minutes that they had me on the curb, handcuffed in the sun, before they locked me up and took away my civil rights, that they could not simply review the ATM and bank’s HD video footage to clearly see that the “tall, bald headed, black male”… did not fit MY description.

Why, at 11:59pm (approximately 6 hours later), was the video footage reviewed only after my request to the Lead Detective for the Beverly Hills Police Department and an FBI Agent to do so, and, after being directly accused by another FBI Special Agent of “…going in and out of the bank several times complaining about the ATM Machine to cause a distraction…” thereby aiding in the armed robbery attempt of a bank that I never heard of, or ever been to; and within 10 minutes……10 MINUTES, my lawyer was told that I was being release because it was clear that it was not me.

Time has come for a change in the way OUR law enforcement officers "serve and protect" us.

We all do not, FIT THE DESCRIPTION.

 

So how did the Beverly Hills Cops respond? In a statement, police expressed regret. "The Beverly Hills Police Department deeply regrets the inconvenience to Mr. Belk and has reached out to him to express those regrets and further explain the circumstances."

They added that Charles was "properly detained" given the "totality of the circumstances."SIGH.......

Much like the police brutality and police discrimination issues, it seems like police conduct is easily get swept under the rug and bad actions are often "justified".  Do those officers owe Charles Belk something more than an apology?

We have the inside scoop (sort of) on all of the drama following the Blue Ivy hair “joke” read by Karrueche on BET’s “106 & Park”. Also, it’s being reported a producer from the show has been suspended. Get the deets inside…

All hell broke loose on Monday when Karrueche Tran (who was guest hosting) read an incredibly insensitive joke about Blue Ivy’s hair on BET’s countdown show, “106 & Park.”

During a segment entitled “Top Six Things Blue Ivy Thought About The VMAs,” Kae read from a teleprompter and said, “I really did wake up like this because my parents never comb my hair [laughs] Sorry Blue!”

Since the show aired, Karrueche has offered up apologies via Twitter and official statements (after the BEYhive went into attack mode), while BET’s President of Music Programming Stephen G. Hill released an apology on behalf of the network. He said the joke was a bad judgment call and that the network had already apologized to Beyonce and Jay Z.

We’re sure you all have noticed that “106 & Park” has not aired since the now infamous hair joke, which lead some to believe it was pulled because of all of the controversy. There have been reports that say BET decided NOT to show “106 & Park” this week after all of the negative backlash.

So we reached out to BET and according to our source, this is a just rumor and NOT fact. It’s unclear if this was always the plan (being that many shows are running reruns right now) or if they really axed the show for the week because of the Blue Ivy drama. Hmph.

And as for the repercussions of the inconsiderate joke on a 2-year-old? A source revealed to the NY Daily News that a producer from the show has reportedly been suspended. No word on if the producer was suspended indefinitely or not, but action was taken to help rectify their huge “mistake.” Sighs...

Guess BET can forget even a Vine video performance from Queen Bey now.

Trina is back...and she's got a new single "Gone Mad" featuring Brittney T.  Find out why the Diamond Princess had gone mad inside....
 

You can't really call Trina's latest record, "Gone Mad", a comeback single because she declares she's never left.  With lines like:

"I'm a little foreign red bone, cause everything's foreign/And if I'm not out shopping, then I'm overseas touring/Yeah, bitch, I'm out touring, foreign seas is where I'm snoring"

Trina is quick to let fans know that she's been getting that overseas money while Iggy Azalea and Nicki Minaj run the States.  With additional bars from Brittney T(who's also MAD about getting money), it's the 1st single off of Trina's upcoming mixtape scheduled to release in October 2014. 

And now that her former boyfriendFrench Montana has moved on to Khloe Kardashian, it will be interesting to see whether Trina's next mixtape contains a few shots at the Kardashian Klan.

In other KimYe rumors, in addition to the bad press coverage she and her sisters got as the texted their way through the Michael Brown moment of silence at the 2014 MTV VMAs, there are also reports who say Kim (who is allegedly pissed certain folks--supposedly Beyonce--didn't come to her wedding) and her sisters (Kendall& Kylie) left BEFORE Beyonce received the Video Vanguard Award after her performance.  They really could have just been trying to beat the crowds out of the venue...

Robin Thicke has been keeping a low profile since his Paula album tanked and he pledged to stop begging for Paula to come back.  He's all about spending quality time with his 4-year-old son Julian Fuego Thicke.

The twosome (and the nanny) headed to Santa Monica yesterday to take in the beach and the waves.  And they looked super cute doing so:

It's still unclear what's going to happen between him and Paula...but it seems like divorce--in its official capacity--is imminent.

Taraji P. Henson and Will Packer have reunited once again. And this time, they’re laughing it up at the No Good Deed screening in Atlanta. Pics inside…

After getting silly on the carpet with co-star Idris Elba for the L.A. screening earlier this week, Taraji P. Henson linked up with producer Will Packer for the No Good Deed screening at the Strip Atlantic Station in Atlanta last night.

It was like a family reunion since they both worked on the box office hit Think Like A Man 2. So, they’re doing it again with their new crime thriller film that we can’t wait to check out.
 

In the film, Taraji plays a devoted wife and mother-of-two named Terri. She’s living the ideal suburban life in Atlanta up until Colin (Idris’ character), a charming but dangerous escaped convict, shows up at her door claiming car trouble. Terri offers to help but soon realizes she’s fighting for the survival of her children and herself once he invades her home and terrorizes her family. 

Let it be known....Idris can invade us ANY time....

Will brought his fiancée Heather Hayslett with him to the screening. Lovely couple.

While his wife Kandi Burruss parties it up with her “RHOA” castmates in San Juan, Todd Tucker came out to support.

And be brought his daughter Kaela, his step-daughter Riley and friends along to check out the new flick.

All hail...tv newest queens are getting their shine.  Primetime stars Danai Gurira ("The Walking Dead"), Laverne Cox ("Orange Is the New Black"), Nicole Beharie ("Sleepy Hollow") and Alfre Woodward (upcoming show "State of Affairs") are fresh faced (and bold-lipped) for the new issue of ESSENCE.

In a cover story entitled “Channel Changers,” the ladies are dishing on why it's definitely a new day for Black women in prime time. Not only are black women fighting the apocalypse (Danai), serving as president (Alfre) and making Emmy history (Laverne), but they’re also changing how America perceives them on the small screen.

Of the nearly 30 new shows premiering this fall on network and cable channels, 11 will have a Black actress featured prominently. Loves it!

Nicole Beharie dished to the mag:

“When I went to London, I found the people there were [initially] watching it for Tom Mison. Because they were watching it for him, they had to take me into their homes too. There’s something about that—I think it’s really powerful. Even if I had to sneak through the door, I got in there, and we’re just slowly working on minds…You’re actually warming people’s hearts by just being around…It’s what we’re talking about: Every night, there’s going to be someone of color in the people’s living rooms…”

Reclusive rapper/actor Andre Benjamin talked to the NY Times about his Jimi Hendrix transformation, how he battled depression and returning to the stage.  See the highlights inside and listen to "Don't Shoot", a song penned by The Game and dedicated to the memory of Michael Brown (with Diddy, Rick Ross, 2 Chainz& more).  

Even the most celebrated individuals in the world battle depression and self-doubt. 

In an interview recently published by The New York Times, Grammy-winner Andre 3000 opened up about his latest movie role as Jimi Hendrix ("I needed something to focus on to get me out of my depression and rut"), feeling guilty about abandoning Outkast and partner Big Boi (“We’ve left millions and millions of dollars on the table"), the best advice he received from pop icon Prince (" Just give them the hits’) and surprisingly how he uses music to battle depression and self doubt ("When you feel it, it’s right. If you don’t feel it, then why? Honestly, think about it. Why do it? Why?").  Here are the highlights:  

On taking on the role of Jimi Hendrix: “Honestly, I needed it in my life, too. Hendrix kind of saved me. I was in a not-so-great space, just in a dark place every day. I needed something to focus on to get me out of my depression and rut. Sometimes, when you’re alone, you can let yourself go. I knew if I got on a train with a lot of different people, then I couldn’t let them down.”

On growing old in hip-hop: “I remember, at like 25, saying, ‘I don’t want to be a 40-year-old rapper.’ I’m 39 now, and I’m still standing by that. I’m such a fan that I don’t want to infiltrate it with old blood.”

On being a dad to Seven and how life changed once he moved in:  Seven’s been going to school in Atlanta for the last two years. I wake up every morning, take him to school, pick him up from school, going to soccer games, going to wrestling matches. Total dad, which is cool, because so much of that was taken by my early Outkast years. We were at the height, so a lot of the time that should have been [spent] with him, I’m on the road entertaining everybody else.

On his recent guest verses: “I struggle with the verses. I don’t sit around and write raps, I just don’t. Now the only time I’m really inspired to write raps is if an artist that I enjoy invites me to their party. So if Future calls and says, ‘Hey man, I want you to do this,’ I don’t want to let Future down. I don’t want to let Lil Wayne or Drake down, because I love them.”

On his decision to tour: “Honestly, I never planned to go onstage again in that way. If I feel like I’m getting to a place where it’s mimicking or a caricature, I just want to move on. But I felt like: Let me do it now ’cause these kids [in the audience], it feels good to know that they’re happy. I really don’t actually get anything from performing. … I feel good in being able to look at Big Boi and say, ‘Hey, man, we did it.’ Big Boi’s got these great records on his own, but this means something else for him.”

On his apology to Big Boi on T.I.’s “Sorry”: “We’ve left millions and millions of dollars on the table. We didn’t even tour for our biggest album [Speakerboxxx/The Love Below]. I just wanted to say I know how hard it must be.”

On his first show at Coachella: “I think people could see it at Coachella, the very first show. It was foreign. My head wasn’t there. I kind of fluffed through rehearsals. A few hours before the Coachella show, I get a message that Prince and Paul McCartney are going to be there. My spirit is not right, and idols are standing side-stage, so as the show started, I’m bummed. This is horrible. In my mind I was already gone to my hotel room halfway through.”

On Prince’s advice: “He said: ‘When you come back, people want to be wowed. And what’s the best way to wow people? Just give them the hits.’ I’m explaining to him that I really didn’t want to do it. He said: ‘I’ve been there. I’ve tried to do other things. After you give them the hits, then you can do whatever.’”

On new music: “I’d love to put out an album. I’m just going to call it honest. I know this may sound morbid, but I was like, if I were to die today, I have all these half-songs on my hard drive, and I don’t want that.”

In new music....

The Game has penned and released "Don't Shoot", a song dedicated to the memory of Michael Brown and to the unrest in Ferguson, MO. The track pulls together some of the biggest names in Hip Hop, including Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, Diddy, Fabolous, Wale, DJ Khaled, Swizz Beatz, Yo Gotti, Curren$y, Problem, King Pharaoh, and Rnb powerhouse TGT.  When asked about putting together the collaboration, The Game said,

"I managed to get everyone on fairly easy, simply because we have hearts. “We care and are inclined to take a positive approach to resolving an issue that has existed since the beginning of mankind and that’s racism and hatred towards one another as human beings.”

Good to see the rappers the black teens and young adults idolize actually speaking up...

The song is now available on iTunes, with all proceeds benefitting the Justice for Mike Brown charity.

Nick Gordon, the husband of Bobbi Kristina, was arrested for DUI after a nasty car crash that flipped his vehicle.  More inside....

On Thursday, police in Roswell, GA responded to an accident involving Nick Gordon, the husband of Bobbi Kristina.  He survived.  But the accident itself was nasty.  Police say he lost control of his BMW, THEN hit a curb, THEN a fire hydrant and THEN the car flipped over and slide another 200 feet. But from the looks of the pic above, he only walked away with a few scratches.

While his "survival" is a great advertisement for the folks at BMW, the police weren't impressed. They busted him for driving with a suspended license, and arrested him for DUI.  *Shocker*

They have also issued a warrant for a blood test (because they didn't give him a breathalyzer).  Seems like he was VISIBLY under the influence.

Hmm....maybe Angela Bassett should be directing a movie about Bobbi Kris and Nick in addition to Bobby and Whitney.  We're sure there's an interesting backstory that led to the crash. Over on social media - Bobbi Kris is silent.   Very unusual....for her.

Oh, to wake up like this.  Beyoncé Knowles Carter is having the best pre-birthday ever.  Fresh off receiving the Video Vanguard Lifetime Achievement Awardat this past weekend's VMAs, King Bey is serving up a dose of hauteness for the September issue of The CR Fashion Book.

Baby North West had all eyes on her Chanel fashion feature for the publication, now Beyonce is surfboarding her way to demanding all attention for her September cover and spread for Carine Roitfield's CR Fashion Book.

The "XO" diva made a bra-less pic tastefully naughty and high fashion with an oversized wool overcoat and high-waisted black panties.  She's giving hair, face and understated sex appeal for the spread.  And we're loving every bit of it.

While posing in a brightly colored floral Tudor-style coat, Beyonce puts her love for high fashion face masks on display. 

But the soon-to-be 33-year-old was totally unmasked in the prose she wrote for her own cover story.  Her words were remixed by Pulitzer Prize Poet Forest Gander, and here's a sample:

“You call me a singer, but I’m called to transform, to suck up the grief, anxiety, and loss of those who hear me into my song’s form.

It’s my daughter, she’s my biggest muse. There’s someone we all find out soon, more important than ourselves to lose.

Utopias, they don’t much interest me. I always mess things up a bit. Its chaos, in part, that helps us see.”
