The Donald Sterling/V. Stivianosaga continues.  Over the weekend, Donald went to a black church on the southside of LA while V. was attacked by two men in New York.  More inside...

Yesterday, the Holy Spirit summoned Donald Sterling to worship with the Blacks.  The vilified owner of the LA Clippers was greeted by a gospel choir as he walked into Praises of Zion Baptist Church on San Pedro Street in South Los Angeles. He's been invited by senior pastor, Dr. J. Benjamin Hardwick, who met him two weeks ago and invited him to worship.

“I'm here to support this wonderful group,” Donald told NBC4.  While sources say Donald was mobbed for pictures after the service, some members of the congregation were disgusted by his presence. One member said,"I feel sorry for him because, first of all, he’s a slum landlord. And second of all, I don’t think he really cares for people as he should."

We're not sure if Mr. Sterling plans to attend the church next week, but he did tell NBC4 that the service was “fabulous.”

In related news, V. Stiviano was reportedly attacked by two men in New York City last night outside of the Gansevoort Hotel. Her lawyer, Mac Nehoray, told the NY Post, two men “punched her on the right side of her face several times."

According to Page Six, V. was exiting the hotel when she and her group of friends became involved in an argument with another group.  Nicholas Pietro, manager of the Chester restaurant in the Gansevoort, told Page Six that a customer witnessed a woman being hit in the face.

“One of the patrons who saw the whole thing said they saw one guy punch her in the face out nowhere,” he said. “So they got into a tussle and she tried to get away. Some people tried to break up the fight. One of the guys who was trying to beat her up ended up really bloody.”

Surprisingly, no charges were filed and NYPD officials said, “As of now this has no legs.”  V. is reportedly in NYC to appear on Anderson Cooper's CNN show. We're sure he'll get the tea about the fight.

High Royal Highness of Funk, Prince Rogers Nelson, was spotted at the French Open with his bedazzled scepter today.  See the candids inside...

Prince (with his royal scepter) was among the spectators at the Roland Garros French Tennis Open in Paris today.

He and his group of fashionable companions (which included his muse Damaris Lewis) were there to watch Rafael Nadal's fourth-round match against Dusan Lajovic. Prince is a huge fan of Rafael and even invited him to his concert last night.

Damaris is clearly able to tap into Prince's playful side.  The cameras caught him chuckling and smiling at one of her jokes. 

Prince, who's currently on tour in Europe, will play the Essence Fest on Friday, July 4th with Janelle Monae.

As his muse, Damaris is often backstage with Prince during those quiet moments before he hits the stage.  She posted this pic on Instagram, shortly before his concert in Paris last night.  She captioned, "Selfies before the funk. #PrinceAndDamarisTakeParis".  SIDEBAR:  Prince does his OWN makeup?!

Former "R&B Divas" starlet Faith Evans was beaming after her first-born son Christopher Wallace Jr. (son of the late Notorious B.I.G.) walked across the stage to accept his high school diploma. We’re sure the late Notorious B.I.G. is all smiles right now.  His son with R&B singer Faith Evans trekked across the stage to accept his high school diploma from Santa Margarita Catholic High School this weekend. C.J. was only one-year-old when his father was gunned down in L.A. in a drive-by shooting in 1997.

Christopher Wallace Jr. aka CJ smiled his way through his graduation ceremony as his mother and family looked on. The proud mom of the 2014 graduate tweeted, “My first born son @cj_toa & I #proud”

CJ was also very proud of his accomplishment tweeting, “yung boi made it” Nice. CJ is currently following in his father’s footsteps, creating his own music.

Diddy enjoyed a daddy-daughter filled weekend with his girls D’Lila, Jessie and Chance.

Diddy and his daughters played a little soccer for a funday Sunday. Decked out in their knee high socks and colorful soccer cleats, the girls posed it up alongside their dad for a day out in the field. Puff captioned, "Getting the girls ready for the world cup. Daddy time. Fun day Sunday."

And on Saturday, he enjoyed the company of his three leading ladies. He captioned, "I'm the luckiest man in the. World' thank You GOD!!! And @ladykp and @callmepumpkin I lovey family :)"

The "beautiful" people came out in full force last night to celebrate fashion powerhouse Bethann Hardison who has ignited a flame under the careers of Naomi Campbell, Tyson Beckford and countless others. See pics of Iman, Joan Smalls and others paying tribute inside.

Yesterday, Iman, Naomi Campbell & Tyson Beckford threw a chic celebration to honor the life, legacy and cotributions of fashion icon, model and activist Bethann Hardison (shown atop with June Ambrose, Jay Manuel & Naomi). 

During the party, Bethann received Essence Magazine's Vanguard Award and later tonight she'll be presented with 2014 Council of the Fashion Designers of America's Founders Award.

Throughout the night, Bethann was honored by those whose lives have been impacted by her tireless work the promote diversity in fashion magazines, on the runaways and behind the scenes.  Fashion fact:  In 1995, Bethann made fashion history when she signed her client Tyson Beckford to a landmark exclusive contract with designer Ralph Lauren - making him a bonafide supermodel.

Supermodel Iman rounded out the fashion trifecta (including Naomi & Tyson) who spoke to the audience about the impact Bethann has had on their careers. 

During the party, Naomi posed with Iman, Erica Reid and Erica's mother.

On Instagram, Erica wrote a moving tribute to Bethann.

Hot 97’s 2014 Summer Jam concert went down at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium on Sunday night (fights and all) and TheYBF.com was on the scene for the epic performances and backstage flicks. Peep the concert pics inside…

Hot 97's annual Summer Jam was jammed packed with performances from some of Hip Hop and R&B’s biggest names and we have the pics and the run-downs on their performances. 

The concert kicked off with performances from songtress Jhene Aiko and a shirtless Childish Gambino for their duet "Bed Peace"on the festival stage located just outside of MetLife Stadium.

Also on the festival stage were performances by singer/actor Mack Wilds, Australian rapper Iggy Azalea, R&B crooner August Alsina, Chinx and Nipsey Hussle.

August was in better spirits during Summer Jam after losing his sh*t at a concert in Arkansas the night before. The R&B crooner decided to crowd surf during his set and lost his hat. Once he realized the hat was missing, he stopped the music and ranted, "Who got the hat?! On some G s**t! Don't play with me like that, my n*gga. I came out here to f**k with y'all so if you got it, ain't NOBODY leaving out this b**ch until I get it back, straight up! Where it's at? Or we gon' cause a muthaf**kin' riot in this b**ch." Sheesh…

Chris Brown's newest artist Sevyn Streeter hit the stage to perform her radio hit, “It Won’t Stop” followed by Brooklyn rapper Troy Ave who bought out T.I. for his set.

After posting bail in Texas for possession of marijuana, Wiz Khalifa rocked the stage with his performance of “We Dem Boyz.”

Then he bought out his smoking partner Snoop Dogg to perform their hit “Young, Wild and Free."

Following Wiz’s set, The Roots hopped on stage to rock out to some of their tracks and provided the tunes for gritty rap group The Lox.

Trey Songz was next in the line-up. He serenaded the ladies with a few of his hits and then bought out Ty Dolla $ign for their song “Paranoid.” Both Sevyn and Trey shouted about Chris Brown during their sets screaming“FREE CB!”  And in case you didn't know, Chris Brown was released from a Los Angeles county jail this morning after serving 108 days.

As he continues to celebrate the 20-year anniversary of his album Illmatic, Nas took the stage taking us back down memory lane as he performed some of his classic Illmatic hits. 

During his set, the Queensbridge rapper brought out Philly native Meek Mill and French Montana, as his rumored girlfriend Khloe Kardashian watched from the stands. As Meek performed, he called himself one of the best in the rap game.

Then Nas introduced 50 Cent who hit the stage at Summer Jam for the first time in 10 years and a G-Unit reunion was quickly underway. 

50 Cent stormed the stage to reunite with former G-Unit crew Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo and Young Buck, which sent concert goers in a frenzy. They performed a few of their joint and solo hits including “So Seductive,” “Shorty Wanna Ride,” “I Smell P*ssy” and “Smoke.”

50 then bought out Brooklyn rapper Fabolous and then Yo Gotti took the stage to perform his track “FU.”

50 paused his set to take selfie of the 50,000+ concert goers and then began a rant on his departure from record label Interscope. Hoarse from performing the slew of tracks he said, “A label can’t drop a n*gga like me. I dropped the label. Get the f*ck away from me…you stupid? N*ggas thought Jimmy Iovine was my boss, are you kidding me? I’m from 134 street…I ain’t GOT no muthaf*cking boss!” Lord…

And during his set, an apparent fight broke out. You can check out the deets here. After running over his allotted time for his set, 50’s mic was cut off so he could exit stage left.

Next up…Nicki Minaj!

The “Pills N Potions” raptress stormed the stage in some star pasties and a see-through crop top to kick off her set with her verse from “Monster.” Nicki then brought out rapper Lil Herb for their new track “Chi-raq.” Then she spit her lyrics from “Lookin A** N*ggas.” Nicki also brought Soulja Boy on stage for their collabo “Yasss Bish Yass” 

Nicki slowed down her set to perform her newest track “Pills N Potions” and then brought out surprise guests Drake (who performed “Trophies") and Lil Wayne (“Believe Me.”)

Nicki then gave the YMCB head honcho a shoutout as the best rapper alive and Weezy performed his verse from Chris Brown’s hit track “Loyal” Awkward for Drizzy….

And before Nicki M. took the stage, she was spotted backstage posing it up with Rihanna (who was not set to perform). Although there were unconfirmed rumors that Drake and RiRi reportedly called it quits, RiRi randomly popped up backstage likely to support her on-again/off-again boo thang Drizzy.

It’s finally official! Lupita Nyong’o just landed her first role since taking home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. Also, Maya Angelou’s private memorial service will be livestreamed online for all to witness. Get the deets inside….

We’ve all been wondering what Lupita Nyong’o's (above at the 7th annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic) next major role would be after her epic Oscar win for Best Supporting Actress in her theatrical debut, 12 Years a Slave and now the cat is out of the bag!

Since being named the "Most Beautiful" by PEOPLE, optioning the film rights to Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's best-selling novel Americanah and other countless accolades, the Kenyan starlet has landed her next big role in the upcoming highly-anticipated Star Wars: Episode VII, shutting down all of the naysayers who believed the “hype” had worn off.

Rumors started to circulate that the Academy Award winning actress would be acting in the sci-fi film after she met with director J.J. Abrams a few weeks before the Oscars and now those rumors have been confirmed.

Along with “Games of Thrones” actress Gwedoline Christie, the YBF actress will join the J.J. Abrams ‘Star Wars’ cast including John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker.

Legendary film producer and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy released a statement on the film’s newest cast mates saying,

“I could not be more excited about Lupita and Gwendoline joining the cast of Episode VII. It’s thrilling to see this extraordinarily talented ensemble taking shape.”

No word (yet) on her role in the upcoming film but the film has already started shooting and we can expect to see it in theaters on December 18, 2015. Can’t wait.

Legendary poet Dr. Maya Angelou will be laid to rest on Saturday after passing away in her Winston-Salem home last week.

Family and friends will hold a private memorial service for the Phenomenal Woman at 10AM on Saturday, June 7th at Wake Forest University's Wait Chapel. Due to limited seating capacity, the university will live-stream the memorial online for the masses to see.

Maya’s son Guy B. Johnson is also planning additional events in other cities around the country to celebrate his mother’s life. Deets on the upcoming events will be released on a later date.

Recently, 50 Cent stopped by Power 105.1 to promote the release of his new album Animal Ambition and he told a funny Beyonce story.  Apparently Beyonce IS NOT the passive type (ignore the Cartergate video).  50 said back in the day Beyonce ran up on him and confronted him about having a beef with Jay (at the 37:00 mark).  He was shocked!

One time [Beyoncé] jumped off of a ledge and came running over cause she thought me and Jay had issues. And I'm like, "What the f-ck? Did she really just jump and run up on me like that?"
We was at the Cosmopolitan [hotel]. She jumped out and was like this, "What?! That Bonnie and Clyde forreal! You try this or what, boy?! I'm here!" She bugged out at me. I looked and Jay starts laughing. He's like, "Yo, you know what it is." I said, "Oh sh-t! What the f-ck y'all got going on, man?" Bey jumped down off of that joint like, "What?! Wassup?!" Matter of fact, Floyd [Mayweather] was there. We were in the Cosmopolitan in Vegas and I was bringing him to say wassup to Jay because Jay don't really like him.

There you have it folks.....Beyonce has Jay's back.  Unless it's a beef with Solange!

Seems all of Destiny’s Child is working hard in the studio lately. After Kelly Rowland laid down her vocals for former band mate Michelle Williams'“Say Yes” (also featuring Beyonce) the newlywed has released another track for soft drink giant Pepsi’s football-inspired visual album titled Beats of the Beautiful Game.

Mrs. Witherspoon is offering up inspiration lyrics on the new track titled, “The Game" and when asked about the new offering Kelly said,

“I was immediately attracted to ‘The Game’ because I can identify with its theme of overcoming challenges and finding your voice. It’s a very important message and I’m honored to partner with Pepsi on a project that brings the worlds of music, sports, and film together. As an artist—and a huge film and sports fan—it’s been an incredible experience.”

Debuting on June 10th, the 11-track visual album will also feature Janelle Monae, Rita Ora, Don Omar, Santigold, super-producer Timbaland and more. A short film directed by Spike Lee will also accompany “The Game” track.

THE CFDA Fashion Awards are a major night in the fashion world, right up there with the Met Ball and the YBF chicks and gents in attendance did not disappoint.

Rih dropped her pink wig and dazzled head-to-toe with 216,000 Swarovski crystals in a custom hand-embellished Adam Selman fishnet dress almost completely naked underneath (only wearing a thong), leaving her nips and her ASSets on full display (typical Rih). The Fashion Icon completed her look with a blinged out Adam Selman headscarf and gloves, a pink fur stole to cover her lady parts, a Jacob & Co. ring and a smokey eye with soft pink lip.

The "tanning" of daytime televison will include two highly-anticpated shows lead by brown ladies.  Get the deets on the premieres of "The Real" and "Just KeKe" inside....

After a successful preliminary run, "The Real" is set to return to daytime television this fall on September 15.  The show will air on local stations nationwide, with a rebroadcast in primetime on BET.

In other daytime additions....

A while back we told you about actress KeKe Palmer signing a deal with BET Netoworks, and now we have all the deets on her upcoming show.  "Just KeKe", from Telepictures, will air Monday through Friday during its initial four-week run. The show premieres Monday, June 30 at 5 P.M. ET/PT right before “106 & Park.”

As we told you earlier, this is a big feat for KeKe as she will become the youngest talk show host in television history. “Just Keke” will cover a variety of topics including social issues, pop culture, fashion, relationships, celebrity interviews and more. FUN FACT: The series' executive producer is Judge Greg Mathis!

The ladies of “R&B Divas: LA” are back to heat up the summer for a brand new season and it looks like this season will be just as drama-filled as the first.

Soul singer Chrisette Michele and singer Leela James will be joining returning cast members Chanté Moore, Lil’ Mo, Michel’le and Claudette Ortiz. The ladies will battle balancing their personal lives with their careers as they struggle with issues such as divorce and suicide. The divas must come together musically to write a song for the Puerto Rico tourism board and perform live at Carnaval de Poncé.  And we all know this will cause drama.

In a press release about the spinoff, we're given what viewers can expect from the new season:

“The debut season of R&B Divas LA set the tone as a series all about glamour and high-stakes drama,” said D’Angela Proctor, SVP Programming and Production, TV One. “As we gear up to shoot season two, we anticipate that the addition of two lovely and respected solo artists, Chrisette and Leela, will build upon the impassioned, ever-evolving group dynamic that season one viewers embraced.”

Chris Brown was released from jail yesterday and his long-time companion Karrueche Tran posted a collage of Instagram that featured a side-by-side comparison of herself and Chris...alongside Jon Lennon & Yoko Ono.  We can't get inside the head of KT to understand why she picked this particular couple, but rock & roll fans will at least agree that Yoko is "loyal" to the legacy of John Lennon.  Discuss amongst yourselves...

In other news, sources close to Chris Brown say he's made a vow to stay out of jail, now that he's freshly freed and vowing to clean up his life.  He is staying away from drugs and bad people (including gangs). His friends say he will focus on his music and has promised he won't screw up again.

The Tyga-assisted song reached No. 1 on iTunes R&B/Soul chart last week.  And the ladies will perform it (along with other hits) at New York’s Irving Plaza tonight during their sold out show on their “DK No Filter Tour.”

Rapper The Game was in his feelings early this morning as he professed his love for his “assistant” LoLo. Read the heartfelt (or possible PR stunt) message he wrote up inside…

As you may have heard by now, Compton rapper The Game and his sexy assistant LoLo have been gearing up for their starring roles in the “Love & Hip Hop: LA” spinoff and taking meetings…together...with Mona Scott Young and others.

Meanwhile, The Game and his on-again/off-again fiancée/“Married to the Game” co-star Tiffney Cambridge have been battling for quite some time with whether they want to stay together for their family or call it quits.  And with the alleged domestic dispute and restraining order filed by Tiffney, it seems the former couple and his new “chick” will bring plenty of drama to the new show.

In an Instagram post, Game dug deep and gushed on his feelings for his “assistant” revealing how much love he has for her and how she has been loyal to him and his family, showering him with unconditional love since the beginning. Although he claims he and LoLo haven’t been intimate with one another, if you watch the show you’ll realize she seems to be way more than just an assistant. She definitely doesn't dress like a real celebrity assitant and she stays tagging along with him in the club.

He writes:

Her..... Let me tell you a little bit about "Her". #1 she is the best friend that I have in this world & probably the next. She has done in 3 years what no one has managed to do in all my years on earth & that's love me unconditionally !!! In a rare occurrence, famed director and artist Vashtie Kola opened up--a tiny bit--about her past relationship with Pharrell Williams. Find out what she had to say about P inside…

Before Pharrell Williams married his wife Helen, he was in a longtime relationship with a woman named Vashtie Kola.

In case you didn't know, Vashtie Kola is a woman of many talents.  She's an artist, director and designer but notably, she is the former longtime girlfriend of superproducer Pharrell.

Making her own in lane in the industry, she has worked with big brands such as DKNY, Air Jordan and she styled/modeled for Pharrell’s Billionaire Boys Club. She also directed videos for Solange, Kendrick Lamar, Jadakiss and Justin Bieber. Their union seemed like a match made in heaven since she has a love for art and all things creative, just like P, but that wasn’t enough to keep them together in the limelight.

The 33-year-old famed video director sat down with The Combat Jack Show for a candid interview about her life and many accomplishments, but she also touched on her past relationship with Pharrell. When asked about P she seemed very uncomfortable talking about him.  But she said a couple things.

On how she met Pharrell:
She said she met P through Pusha T.

On the type of person Pharrell is:
“He’s a very nice guy.”

On what she learned from her relationship with Pharrell:
She said she learned a lot about business by watching Pharrell. His focus on his music and taking it to the next level is what impacted her the most.

On being with Pharrell:
“I think it’s hard being a figure in the industry and being with someone who is creative. It’s sort of a difficult situation.”

After a long hiatus, Ameriie returns to the music scene with "What I Want."  While she lays out her wants and needs to her potential lover, the song relies heavily on a sample of Sugarhill Gang’s“Apache.” The song will appear on Ameriie's follow-up to 2009's "In Love And War."

Inside the pictorial, the ***Flawless singer rocked her signature blonde & brown tresses and modeled fashions from Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu and Chanel.  Chick makes a white tee and leather pants look like a million bucks.

During a recent interview with Hello Beautiful, Kelly Rowland gave Beyonce and Michelle the highest praise, calling them her soul mates. 

"I believe soul mates are not just in relationships, but they’re in friendships. I have soul mates through Beyonce and Michelle [Williams] and [Beyonce's cousin] Angie [Beyince] and Solange [Knowles] and LaLa [Anthony]. I have soul mates. I’m so thankful for that too because I think they understand you. It was a big night of birthdays last night at Swizz Beatz celebrated his homie Carmelo Anthony's 30th birthday (his actual birthday was May 29th) and brought his own birthday girl, his mom, and wife Alicia Keys along.  Pics inside, plus the BIG gift LaLa gave to her man... 

After the "Power" premiere last night in NYC, folks were spotted pouring in to Up & Down nightclub for Carmelo's big 30th birthday party:

Alicia Keys was spotted getting escorted in, while her husband Swizz Beatz posed it up with his mom, who was also celebrating her birthday.  He posted about buying his mom a COMPANY for her birthday.

And the birthday boy was spotted arriving with his wife, who's starring in the upcoming STARZ show premiering June 7th.

As for what LaLa got her man for the big 3-0.  A sleek Corvette!  She said:

Today would have been the late Josephine Baker’s 108th birthday and in honor of the world-renowned singer/dancer/actress, Rihanna paid tribute to Ms. Baker with her CDFA Fashion Awards gown. Meanwhile, Jhene Aiko went straight “westside” on Twitter trolls who trashed her performance at Hot 97’s Summer Jam. Get all the deets inside…

Rihanna literally shut down the carpet last night at the 2014 CFDA Fashion Awards in NYC’s Lincoln Center to accept her Fashion Icon Award.

Inspired by the late Josephine Baker, the Fashion Icon dazzled in a custom hand-embellished Adam Selman fishnet dress (wearing only a thong underneath) with matching headscarf and gloves made up of 216,000 Swarovski crystals.

The Bajan beauty paid tribute to the legendary dancer, who was famously known for her exotic attire, with her ensemble and no one else could possibly pull this off such as Rih.
 

Rihanna took to her Twitter to pay her respects with a birthday message to the late dancer tweeting:
