Brandy dropped by "The Wendy Williams Show" today to promote her role in "Tyler Perry's Temptation" and the 100th episode of "The Game." Watch Brandy dish about her new movie, her engagement to Ryan Press and tonight's season premiere with Lauren London and Jay Ellis inside.....

The gorgeous Brandy appeared on The Wendy Williams Show this morning where she talked about her role in "Tyler Perry's Temptation", the day Ryan Presspopped the question, and working on "The Game."

When talking about her upcoming wedding, she revealed that Ryan proposed onChristmas Day.  She said that as soon as her father prayed over dinner, she opened her eyes and saw Ryan down on his knees with a ring.  She knew the "big question" was coming at some point but was still surprised at the timing.

And when it comes to the special day, she said she hopes to have a big wedding, but isn't sure if she'll sign up for a wedding-themed reality show. She added that her 10-year-old daughter Sy’rai will be the maid of honor saying,“She’s my best friend. I love her unconditionally.”  

And longtime Brandy fans may also play a role in the process as she stated, “I just wish I could invite a lot of my core fans to the wedding because they’ve been there for me for so long."  

She also talked about her role in "Tyler Perry's Temptation" where she plays a woman holding onto a dark secret and she discussed being "Chardonnay" on this season of "The Game."

New stars of "The Game," Lauren London and Jay Ellis, also stopped by to chat about tonight's season opener.  Lauren, who wore a sexy slit dress from Rihanna's River Island collection, was offered a "prayer cloth" by Wendy because that slit was on 100.

Wendy went on to ask Lauren about the health of her baby's father, Lil' Wayne, and she said "He's great.....His album comes out today." She remarked that being a single mother is hard for anyone--whether you're a celebrity or not.

The past few weeks have been pretty interesting for members of Beyonce's beehive as they've had to defend her "Bow Down" single, which some critics viewed as an attack on women (even though she never said the song was against women, as opposed to her haters of all sexes). Now, the singer (shown above in a gown from Gucci's Fall 2011 collection) has flipped the script and announced a global fundrasier for the "Chime For Change" empowerment foundation, which so co-founded with Gucci and Salma Hayek.  

Entitled The Sound Of Change Live, the Control Room-produced fundraiser concert will be held on June 1st at Twickenham Stadium in London.  It will also feature international stars Florence and the Machine, Ellie Goulding, Iggy Azalea, John Legend, Rita Ora, Laura Pausini and Timbaland. 

Bey said today, "Our goal is to call for change for girls and women in the loudest voice possible. I am excited for us to come together on June 1 to bring the issues of education, health and justice for girls and women to the world stage."

Gucci is set to kick in funds for the show so proceeds can be used for the global charities involved with the initiative. Tickets go on sale at 9am on Wednesday March 27 and folks can choose which charity their ticket sale will be donated to.

After Earth star Jaden Smith has released a video for "Hello", a track off his The Cool Cafe: Cool Tape Vol. 1 mixtape.

Porsha Stewart is speaking out, revealing that she was blindsided by Kordell Stewart filing for divorce and that he led her on.  Find out what she said inside....

We've been raising questions about it all day, and it turns out, Porsha was completely blindsided by Kordell's move to file for divorce.  Her rep revealed in a statement that she was "disappointed about her husband's recent filing for divorce."

We told you earlier that from the tone of her tweets, it really seemed like Porsha was committed to working on her marriage.  And just a week before Kordell filed, Porsha told Hollywood Life that kids were still in their future, but they wanted to make sure the foundation of their marriage was solid before they tried again.  

And in one shocking revelation, Porsha seems to have found out about the divorce around the same time that many of her fans got the news.  Her rep claims, "[Kordell] misled her and she found out about the filing in the media."   WOMP.

Porsha's rep added, "Mrs. Stewart hopes to resolve these personal issues privately with the support of her family, friends and strong faith."

Golden Globe winner Angela Bassett talked to HuffPost Black Voices about her most recent hit movie Olympus Has Fallen and also revealed the status of the Waiting To Exhale sequel and her thoughts on the continuation of Whitney Houston's"Savannah character".  Also, she revealed which historical figure she hopes to portray one day.  Here are the highlights:

On your latest film, “Olympus Has Fallen.” Can talk about your role as Lynn Jacobs?

I play Lynn Jacobs the director of the secret service. She’s the ex-boss of Gerard Butler character “Mike Banning.” There’s never been a female head of the Secret Service, much less a woman of color. It really was a bold casting choice, because generally the role is dominated by men and testosterone. But sometimes with women in movies, we can show our best selves, and in this one we show that we’re real capable women. Myself, Melissa Leo as Secretary of Defense, which is another role that hasn’t been played by a woman. But there’s a level of commitment, integrity and strength in the roles. The film is so authentic.

Terry McMillian shared her thoughts on the sequel to “Waiting to Exhale,” and revealed that the film’s producers were still up in the air about Whitney Houston’s character, “Savannah Jackson.” What’s the latest status?

They’re still writing. One of our original producers, from the first “Exhale,” is on board. So that’s a good sign, but they’re still working on the script. It’s just how to deal with it [Whitney’s loss]. And probably the best way to deal with it is just deal with it. It’s like what happens in life, in a way. Life is about life in passing, living and dying, winning and losing. So that’s what I know so far.

If the producers decide to proceed with the storyline of “Savannah,” is there anyone that you would like to see play the character?

Not off the top of my head. That would be interesting for the fans to decide. I wonder if they [the producers] have done any outreach that way. Who would the fans like to see, or what they would like to see. I don’t feel like replacing that character is the most respectful way to go, because in my heart I love Whitney and her work and the time that we shared together. Her role and her presence was just so important. I have a hard time replacing someone else in her shoes. I guess they wouldn’t have to do that. We would have to just come up with a brand new friend.

You have portrayed some of history’s most prominent figures. Is there anyone else on your wish list?

I want to play some made up people now! [Laughs] I’m ready for some fiction…But I think there was a time when I was interested in playing Bessie Coleman, someone a lot of people don’t know of. She was the first African-American female aviator. But that was a period piece that never got off the ground. But fiction is in my future.

Halle made the most of her much needed vacation after a hectic promo tour for her hit film The Call. 

And now that most of the dust around their custody battle has settled between her and former boyfriend Gabe Aubry, it looks like everyone has moved on to a better place. 

Halle recently spoke about delaying her move to France with Olivier saying, 'It probably won't be until my daughter is 18 and off to college. When Nahla turns 18, she'll be legally able to make her own decisions about where she wants to be and I think that then, when she's off on her own, we'll move there. It's where I want to end my days, that's for sure.'

Glad that they've all figured out how to make things work.

Today is Mariah Carey's 43rd birthday, which she plans to celebrate with all of her fans during their "Worldwide Lamb Day."  And as the doting mother of Roc and Roe reaches a new generation of fans as a judge on "American Idol," her older fans are reminded of that voice that first hit us with "Vision Of Love."

Since her debut, we've watched the diamond studded butterfly spread her wings and write tons of records that resonate with millions of lambs around the world.  And now that she's found the love of her life in Nick Cannon, we can look forward to even more heartfelt songs about love and inspiration.

After allegedly assaulting a soldier at an Atlanta club a few weeks ago, a warrant went out for Gucci Mane's arrest.  And he's recently turned himself in.  Deets inside....

Rapper and Spring Breakers star Gucci mane was booked into the Fulton County Jail Tuesday morning, and was charged with aggravated assault with a weapon, according to the AJC.

As we previously reported, a soldier who spotted Gucci out at a night club claims he asked the "Lemonade" rapper for a picture, and Gucci got irritated and hit him in the head with a bottle.

Gucci faced a magistrate this morning for his first appearance. 

Since the soldier ended up getting 10 stitches as a result of this incident, and there was no evidence as of yet of the soldier physically harassing the rapper, it will be a doozy for Gucci to get out of this one...

The cast of BET's "The Game" celebrated the show's 100th episode and season six debut last night in NY.  TheYBF.com was on the scene, and we've got deets and pics from inside the premiere party.  Plus, watch the cast drop by "106 & Park"...

Last night, the cast of BET's hit scripted series, "The Game" host a swanky premiere party in New York City at the swanky Soho House.  The party celebrated last night's 100th episode which also doubled at the show's sixth season opener.  

The show's hilarious scene-stealer, Wendy Raquel Robinson, looked good in a blue cut-out sleeve jumper.  She thanked the attendees for their support of "The Game" over the years.  And Wendy, who runs a performing arts school called "Amazing Grace Conservatory," revealed at the party that her production company is working on a African-American centered remake of Alice in Wonderland. 

And Brandy posed with her sexy new co-star Jay Ellis. Jay gave a teary speech of gratitude to the audience where he thanked the fans for allowing him to nab this job for the last 8 months.

And Brandy (who also posed with former co-star Tika Sumpter), thanked the fans and spoke excitedly about the evolution of her "Chardonnay" character.  She'll be establishing a new bond with "Tasha Mack" this season.  And hopefully her character will learn some style sense.

The party was also attended by series regular Hosea Chanchez and BET's CEO Debra Lee.  

And earlier in the day....

The cast (Barry Floyd, Hosea, Lauren, Jay and Brandy) stopped by the set of "106 & Park" to talk about the changes their characters go through this year.

During the chat, the group congratulated Wendy on the success of Elle Varner, who was a former student at Wendy's performing arts school. 

Brandy gushed about her engagement and her role in the upcoming Temptation flick.

And Lauren got fab in white jeans with black piping, along with a mesh paneled biker jacket.

After a long successful career which included a stint with chart-topping boy band N'Sync followed by a breakthrough solo career, Justin Timberlake proved that the best is yet to come as his The 20/20 Experience disc boasted the best sales week of 2013.  Selling nearly 986K units, the disc became the fastest-selling album worldwide in iTunes history and, according to his press release, boasted the biggest first week sales for a male artist in five years along the third biggest digital debut in SoundScan history.

Of course, the album debuted at #1 on the Billboard chart. We're sure everyone at RCA is counting the moments until Justin releases the companion/follow-up to The 20/20 Experience...

In the upcoming action-thriller White House Down, Jaime Foxx takes on the role of POTUS as he and Channing Tatum battle a band of terrorists who have attacked 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.  If the plot sounds familiar to something else currently out, it's because Angela Bassett is currently sitting atop the box office in a very similar film, Olympus Has Fallen.  Jamie's Roland Emmerich-directed flick opens June 28.

After getting blindsided with divorce papers from her husband Kordell Stewart, "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Porsha nabbed an interesting choice of an attorney to represent her in the divorce settlement.  Plus, the reality chick's co-stars are speaking out in support...

Deets inside...

Porsha Stewart has retained Randall Kessler as her divorce attorney.  If you recall, Kessler also represented Pamela Smith--the woman who alleged Michael Jordan was the father of her 16-year-old son.

Pamela oddly dropped her case earlier this month, out of the blue, right after Michael's request to dismiss the case was rejected.  So it led folks to believe she and her legal team received an offer they couldn't refuse.

So now that Porsha has retained the same legal representation, this divorce may not be as clean cut as Kordell wants it to be.  

In his divorce petition, Kordell said that he did not want to offer spousal support, and also hinted that a pre-nup was in place because there would be no division of assets.  And Porsha's attorney said today about the case:

“Typically there is a lot that happens but I can tell you that there will be a status conference where the parties get together and talk and the court helps direct them to work towards a resolution...I know Mr. Stewart’s attorney very well and I have worked with him in the past and we will work with him in this case to the extent that his client allows.”

If Porsha ends up challenging his petition for spousal support, things will get interesting.  Kessler commented about Porsha possibly having the upper hand due to Kordell's words and actions being documented on tv:

“The short answer is that evidence is evidence. If you’re on a security camera and we get it, or if you’re on reality television and that’s taped, that’s evidence as well.”

 

Meanwhile, Porsha's "RHOA" rival Kenya Moore spoke nothing but supportive words about the split (after saying she saw red flags before the split), and revealed she hopes they work it out.  She told TMZ:

"It seems they just need to maybe iron some things out in their relationship. Maybe they could still make it work."
 

And co-star Kandi Burruss told CoCoa Fab today:

“I was very sad.  I reached out to her. I didn’t talk to her, but we spoke on text. I was really just hurting for her. I hate the whole thing that when people get on reality TV sometimes that can breakdown a relationship. I hate that for her. She really, really, really wanted her marriage to work.”

Kelly Rowland has announced a release date for her upcoming disc "Talk A Good Game."  Find out when the album hits the streets inside and see the list of Hip Hop's biggest money earners.

We saw "Ice" singer Kelly Rowland hit the studio with Wiz Khalifa, Akon and Pharrell a few days ago and now we know when we'll get the whole album.

Ms. Kelly has confirmed that her fourth solo disc, Talk A Good Game, will be available on June 3 in the UK and June 4 in the US.  The disc will feature her collaboration with Lil' Wayne on "Ice" as well as her current chart single "Kiss Down Low."

In the meantime, Kelly, who recently hosted BET's "Rip The Runway," has been doing club dates and red carpet hosting,

Chatter about her proposed BET pilot series, "What Would Dylan Do" has been pretty silent lately, but it looks like it's still coming this fall.

Nene Leakes is spilling the beans about her summer wedding to Gregg Leakes and one shocking detail is that Kim Zolciak is on the invite list!  Find out more inside.....

"RHOA" star Nene Leakes has big plans for her summer wedding to ex-husband Gregg Leakes.  During an exclusive interview with In Touch, "The New Normal" star announced plans to lose weight among the many deets.  "I will try to lose 10 pounds, but I don’t want to be a skinny-ass bride – I wanna be curvy!’ So what type of dress will she wear?  She told the mag, she's "... ‘still interviewing designers. They’re sending me sketches."

But Nene doesn't have much time to lose the weight and pick the dress as the wedding is right around the corner!

 "We are going to have a big fantasy wedding, probably in Atlanta this summer. My granddaughter Bri’asia will be there. She can’t walk yet but we’ll pull her down the aisle!’

She also gave a little of the backstory about why she and Gregg divorced saying, "When I started living my dream, things changed. I started making more money than him. He’d say “You don’t need me anymore,” but I really did."

But as Nene made waves in Hollywood on "Glee" and "The New Normal", she and Gregg realized that they still loved each other.  So naturally...Gregg popped the question, for a second time! 

"We were with our son – Gregg somehow got him out of the condo and had a big heart made of Hershey’s Kisses on the bed. It was sweet! I said yes right away."  

And while Mrs. Leakes twice over hasn't revealed if the wedding will play out as a big Bravo special, she did reveal that ALL of her tv castmates will be invited.  

‘I will definitely invite every castmate from every show I’m on. I don’t know who’s available but they’re all on the list! RHOA’s Cynthia [Bailey] will be a bridesmaid. And Kim [Zolciak] will be invited as well.’

‘She’s invited to my wedding, and I believe she will come. I’m extending an olive branch.’

And Kim Zolciak recently confirmed to In Touch that she plans to attend the wedding saying!

"I have always been and I continue to be happy for NeNe, and I look forward to being invited to the wedding. NeNe and I started this journey together and although we have had our ups and downs, I am excited to get our friendship back on track.”

She added, "We were friends long before RHOA, and we will be friends long after RHOA if it's up to me."

It's great the Nene and Kim have patched things up....but what about Sheree Whitfield?  Y'all know she's dying to do a She by Sheree wedding collection...

1.  Nelson Mandela, the famed former president of South Africa has been hospitalized for a lung infection.  In a statement recently made public, the current South African President, Jacob Zuma, has asked for prayers.  Story.

You may have missed it when it recently & quietly hit the net, but back in 2010, "RHOA" star Porsha Stewart spent her days spreading the gospel as an EVANGELIST.  So we gotta ask, was her major change during reality TV at least one of the causes of the divorce?

This may explain her hard core traditional views on a woman's place in the home as it relates to her husband, but it doesn't explain much else.

Before the then Ms. Williams became a "Housewife," she was "preaching" from the Bible at High Praise Christian Center Ministries in Lithonia, GA.  We received a tip full of videos of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Porsha Stewart-Williams as an EVANGELIST, some of which were exposed quietly a few months ago.

Apparently, as the granddaughter of a preacher, she picked up a few things while growing up.  But it seems everything changed after her marriage to Kordell Stewart in May 2011.

So how does a well spoken, seemingly conservative Evangelist become a ditzy glammed up "Barbie" who calls herself a "black trophy wife"?  With the help of a reality show check and the lure of fame.

We don't know many Evangelists who rock skin tight dresses and sexy (sometimes minimal) clothing while out and about.  It seems Porsha may have been playing a role on "Real Housewives of Atlanta" that may not have been the REAL her.  And maybe some folks...like her husband...weren't feeling it.

Time will tell if her obvious & major switch up had anything to do with Kordellfiling for divorce last week.   But check out a couple videos of EVANGELIST Porsha in action back then and decide for yourselves.
