Former “America’s Next Top Model” contestant Yaya DaCosta is gearing up for her debut as Whitney Houston in LIFETIME’s upcoming biopic about the iconic singer (Jan.17th).
On the flip side, she’s headed for divorce. According to Us Weekly, Yaya’s rep confirms the Bulter star (above at the film’s NYC premiere last year) and her filmmaker husband Joshua Bee Alafia have parted ways after two years of marriage.
The two share a son named Sankara born in September 2013.
It’s unknown why the twosome decided to split and neither of them have personally confirmed. In the meantime, Yaya makes her debut on LIFETIME on Jan. 17th at 8/7c.

We have learned an exec was interested in casting the fineness that is Idris Elba as the next James Bond. He would be perfect!
According to the Daily Beast, Sony Pictures Entertainment co-chairman Amy Pascal sent an email to former executive vice president of production for Columbia Pictures Elizabeth Cantillon (who distributes the Bond films) sharing her idea of the British star taking on the “007” role. In an email sent on Jan. 4th (of this year), Amy writes, “Idris should be the next bond.”
If this is any insight on possibly an upcoming James Bond film starring Idris, we are totally hear for it!
