With a brand new album comes a brand new fashion gig. Nicki Minaj has been named the new face of Roberto Cavalli. And she’s serving some some effortless model fab in the new Spring/Summer 2015 ad campaign. Also, the “Anaconda” raptress made a tv appearance on “The View” today. More inside….
Nicki Minaj is known for getting a little ratchet while putting her “ass”ets on full display. But she can also slay an ad campaign for a luxury brand.
Following her L’Uomo Vogue coverand her hot editorial in Vogue Italia, it has been announced that Nicki Minaj will be serving as the face of Roberto Cavalli’s Spring/Summer 2015 ad campaign (following Rita Ora). And in these glamour shots, the booty-ful raptress serves some epic slayage in high-fashion designer digs.
Shot by Italian photographer Francesco Carrozzini in L.A., Nicki models an array of flowy bohemian dresses with exotic prints and a few textured gowns, along with some hot designer shades and handbags by the Italian designer. Seems the Italians are really loving Nicki.
In addition to her campaign, the “ONLY” rapper will also endorse the luxe brand’s eyewear and accessory line and its ready-to-wear.
Roberto Cavalli spoke on why he chose the Hip Hop mogul as the new face saying,
“I chose Nicki Minaj because she embodies the exuberant and modern femininity of the Cavalli woman. In recent years we have become accustomed to women castigated in clothes that hide their body shapes. With this campaign, I wanted to send a strong countertrend message. I wanted a sensual woman who is aware of her body – who is not afraid to show her curves. Instead, she makes them her strength.”

The Grammy nominated raptress, looking amazing in a skintight white Alexander McQueen dress, stopped by daytime tv show “The View” to chop it up about her newly released studio album The Pinkprint. But before she hit the set, she snapped it up with Whoopi Goldberg backstage. Nicki captioned, "This ICON here.... WHOOPI!!!!!! Getting ready to do THE VIEW"
