We’re months away from the highly anticipated premiere of LIFETIME’s Whitney Houstonbiopic, debuting Saturday, January 17th at 8pm ET. And with the first official trailer, we finally get to see former “ANTM” chick Yaya DaCosta Alafia in action as the iconic Whitney Houston.
For Angela Bassett’s directorial debut, the LIFETIME telepic will chronicle the tumultuous relationship between the legendary singer/actress with her singer/songwriter ex-husband Bobby Brown (played by Belizean actor Arlen Escarpeta).
Much like the Aaliyah biopic, LIFETIME was unable to use Whitney’s original songs for the movie, so Grammy nominated singer Deborah Cox will be providing the vocals.

We introduced you to the seven preachers from Detroit who will be starring on OXYGEN’s new spinoff show “Preacher of Detroit”. Now, the official trailer has been released, giving us a sneak peek at what we can expect for the brand new season.
The new series is taking us to Motown to chronicle the men and women of God as they tackle life’s challenges and triumphs in and out of the pulpit. The network also plans to develop New York, Atlanta and Dallas editions of the show. Of course.
