CNN anchor Don Lemon says the real culprits behind the unrest in Ferguson, MO are the bloggers and "outside agitators."  See his full comment inside and get the deets on Viola Davis' next ABC project.

Don Don Don. Whenever there's a national crisis, you can count on CNN anchor Don Lemon to put his foot in his mouth AT LEAST once (or twice). The controversial anchor is raising eyebrows with some interesting comments he made about the unrest in Ferguson, only days after he made headlines for telling one of Bill Cosby's accusers how she could avoid rape.  Now onto Ferguson.....

Perhaps you saw the burning buildings, looted stores, and vandalized cars captured during last night's uprest. If so, Don Lemon would like viewers to know that the damage was mainly caused by "outside agitators" and he blames Bloggers with an agenda for stirring up outrage online and at press conference earlier today.  Here's his statement:

OK, here’s the thing that people at home should understand. So there is this outrage that everyone thinks is out there. Most of that outrage is coming from the Internet and social media. When you actually come here on the ground and the people who are actual protesters…most of them peaceful. They have a beef and they are being peaceful about it. And they aren’t the people who are out there causing the commotion every day. It is a lot of the times here bloggers and people who are trying to make a name for themselves. People who want you to follow them on Twitter; or follow their blog; or follow them on livestream. So when we came in, we were confronted by a blogger; when the Rev. Al Sharpton came in, we were confronted by a blogger for questions that had nothing to do with the situation here about personal issues, or whatever. It has nothing to do with anything — not respectful of the situation. So they come in, they stick a camera in your face: ‘Do you want to comment about this, what do you have to say about that.’ And, what do you do?

“These were bloggers and as many people are calling them, ‘outside agitators’ That’s where the commotion is coming from. Don’t go thinking that “everyone here is pissed off and angry or what have you. It’s the people who are online who are taking things out of context. Those are the people who are really creating the stir.”

Last night, Don also pissed people of when he described the scene in Ferguson this way:

"Maybe a minute, two minutes ago we heard a gunshot and watched people scattering. And we're watching people on the roofs of cars, on the tops of cars and, er,… OBVIOUSLY there's a smell of marijuana here as well."

We will let you draw your own conclusions about that last statement..obviously.  And just in case you'd like to hear from Officer Darren Wilson, he just landed his first high profile interview.

It aired on World News Tonight at 6:30 p.m. EST and Darren Wilson gave his first public remarks about the fatal shooting.  P.S. He says he would not do anything differently.

Thanks to the success of "HTGAWM", newly-minted ABC star Viola Davis has announced plans to bring another legal-based drama to the network. DEADLINE reports that Viola and her producing partner (and husband) Julius Tennon have linked with producer Debra Martin Chase to create "Conviction", a legal drama inspired by the life of Kym Worthy, the second African-American to serve as a county prosecutor in Michigan. Kym is also know as "the toughest woman in Detroit."

Some of Kym's high profile cases have included Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick clear a backlog of 11,000 unprocessed rape test kits in Detroit.  Hmm....the show sounds exciting. We wonder if Viola & Co. will rip storylines direct from the headlines?
