Dear White People star and upcoming SELMA actress Tessa Thompson was all about wood grain jacquard print at the Hollywood premiere of Interstellar.
She popped up on the carpet at TCL Chinese Theatre last night in a Proenza Schouler Fall/Winter 2014 RTW dress paired with a Swarovski clutch, vintage ring and black Monika Chiang heels, topped off with soft loose tendrils and barely there makeup.
In movie news, the indie satirical drama film Dear White People grossed $347,959 during it’s opening weekend at the box office, selling out at many of the 11 theaters it debuted in around the country.
The YBF chick is also starring in the upcoming film SELMA, starring Chi-town rapper Common. The film will follow civil rights activist Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his supporters in the civil rights movement that forever altered history. Tessa plays founding member of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, Diane Nash.
Diane played a key role in bringing Dr. King to Montgomery, AL, in support of the Freedom Riders. She also played a major role in the Birmingham de-segregation campaign of 1963 and the 1965 Selma Voting Rights Campaign. The film is expected to hit theaters January 9, 2015.
