Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker’s musical “A Mother’s Love” just got the axe! Find out why inside…
After hitting just three cities, “RHOA” stars Kandi Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker’s musical “A Mother’s Love” tour has been cancelled! In two words…janky promoters.
If you follow Kandi on Instagram, it appeared everything was going well with the her musical project hitting the road. She has been promoting her tour around the clock, urging fans to get tickets. The Bedroom Kandi founder has also been sharing videos of the cast rehearsing, some behind-the-scenes pics (atop, the couple backstage before the 2nd show in Savannah) and pics of her & Todd jet-setting to their next destinatiosn.
But signs of trouble began last week when she posted a message to her fans informing them that some of the shows had been postponed. She wrote, “Our shows this weekend in Albany Ny, Jackson Missippi & Birmingham, Alabama have been postponed. I'm sorry loves! I appreciate your support & I will come back as soon as I can. The next stop for #AMothersLoveTour will be Detroit, Michigan September 19-21st. Go to KandiOnline.com to see tour schedule & get tickets! Everyone in Detroit tag all your friends!"
Unfortunately, she won’t be back. And it has to do with a janky promoter she partnered with to help organize her tour. Before heading to Detroit today, she found out that her tour was no more. She wrote:
I licensed A Mother's Love to A promoter with high expectations of finally seeing my creation go on the road and I am very saddened and frustrated by the cancellation of the tour. More than that my heart goes out to the cast who all are AMAZINGLY talented. We really worked hard to put together an awesome show. It breaks my heart that we wont be able to put on this show for my fans who have bought tickets, & who all were looking forward to seeing it. I stand with them in disbelief and despair that this has happened and was caught off guard as well. I want to thank everyone who have supported all of the projects I have worked on. I hope you understand that the cancellation was beyond my control. Please don't hold it against me! I know that a lot of tickets were sold & from what I understand they will be refunded. Thank you to all the people who tweeted showing excitement for the show & sending love my way. I was suppose to be headed to Detroit this weekend & to find out that we're not going kills me. To all the fans who volunteered to be on the street teams promoting the show I promise to make it up to you! I love you guys! Thanks for your love & understanding. Much Love, Kandi
