Kerry Washington is still toting her purple purse while Amber Rose jets out of L.A. Meanwhile, Wendy Williams is dominating the daytime TV talk show game. See their candids and get the deets inside….
Kerry Washington was the hostess with the mostess in a green Alexander McQueen gown and purple Casadei pumps at The Allstate Foundation Purple Purse Challenge last night. And afterwards, she trekked the rainy streets of Manhattan after changing it up in a fall-ready Suno striped frock, still reppin’ for the cause, with her purple purse in tow.
The Allstate Foundation Purple Purse Challenge is a fundraising campaign for charities benefiting domestic violence survivors. And Kerry designed her very own purple purse to support the cause. She posted her excitement on Facebook saying,
So excited to share my design of this year's Allstate Foundation #PurplePurse! Check it out! Learn more about #PurplePurse and how you can get involved and help combat domestic violence and financial abuse
Olivia Pope returns to primetime television on Sept. 25th at 9pm ET on ABC.
Another TV chick on the move...
After zooming through Studio City on a three-wheeled Spyder this weekend, budding actress Amber Rose was spotted jet-setting out of LAX.
Since semi-sharpening her acting skills in the movie School Daze (directed by Nick Cannon) this summer and landing a recurring role on the upcoming ABC sitcom “Selfie”, Mrs. Khalifa is ready to build her repertoire in the acting world.
She’s currently filming for an upcoming dramatic comedy titled Sister Code, alongside Top Model chick Eva Pigford and actress Drew Sidora (who portrayed T-Boz in LIFETIME’s telefim “CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story").
IMDB describes the storyline below:
After the death of their foster mother, three sisters, the entrepreneur, the hustler, and the caregiver find themselves not only fighting for their individual dreams but also fighting each other.
And it looks like the three ladies will be playing sisters. It's expected to hit theaters sometime in 2015. Hmm...will you be watching?
And on daytime TV....
We guess eating crow (literally) on TV paid off for daytime talk show queen Wendy Williams! The opening show for the brand new sixth season of “The Wendy Williams Show” nabbed the No.1 spot with its premiere on Monday.
Targeting women ages 25-54, Wendy’s premiere sixth season show reigned supreme, beating out all of her daytime talk show competition, including "Ellen", "Live with Kelly & Michael", "Dr. Phil" and new Fox/BET talk show "The Real" (they came in at 5th place, not bad for their first season).
In case you missed Wendy putting her crow where he mouth is, check it out HERE.
Congrats to her!
