The 2014 BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards were held at the Pantages Theatre last night in Hollywood with Ludacris, Chris Brown and Zendaya Coleman among those honored.
BMI - Broadcast Music, Inc. - presented the BMI President’s Award to Christopher “Ludacris” Bridges last night for his outstanding achievement in songwriting and his impact on pop culture.
Luda, who brought girlfriend Eudoxiee and his mom along, hit the stage to show folks why he was the King of the Night by performing some of his biggest hits like "Fantasy,” “How Low Can You Go,” “Southern Hospitality,” “Area Codes,” and “Yeah.” And guess who he brought out.....Mystikal (shown atop).
He and Eudoxie celebrated with their family, including his mom Roberta Shields. She captioned "family affair."
Tyrese celebrated with Luda.
Chris Brown, shown above with August Alsina, was honored at the ceremony. Also, DJ Mustard was chosen as R&B/hip-hop producer of the year for producing Chris' "Show Me" record and others.
And look who showed up with another eye-catcher of a look.
Actress/singer Zendaya Coleman, wearing Rubin Singer, was also an honoree. She accepted the BMI Social Star Award (selected by fans and awards to a singer who has best demonstrated the power of social media to showcase their songwriting talents).
Future was also honored. Two of his songs "Turn On The Lights" and "Body Party" (which he penned for ex-fiancee Ciara) were honored for ranking among the 35 most performed tracks of the year.
Ray J was spotted in the audience.
