Former Victoria's Secret model Tyra Banks has still got it. She donned a golden strapless gown that showed off her healthy curves for her annual event--The Flawsome Ball.
The event is all about benefiting Tyra's T-Zone Foundation, which is a New York City girls club, and proving that flaws can be awesome. Not that she really has any. But one flaw MAY be that she's not allowed at Victoria's Secret fashion shows any longer, according to a report by Radar Online.
The former Angel (who rocked the wings from 1997-2005), wasn't allowed to participate in the recent CBA special as a vet.
According to a source, the former supermodel, 40, “was dying to appear on the runways as a surprise in the most recent CBS Victoria Secret Fashion Show” last December, “but was rejected by the brand and the network, despite her long affiliation with the company. She’s outraged and is threatening to never to work with Victoria’s Secret again.”
And the excuse from CBS was reportedly this:
“Tyra’s feelings were hurt because the excuse she was given is that the audience likes to see the newest models, not the ‘veterans,’ on the runway during the VS TV show,” the source added.
Sad, if true. We would have LOVED to see Fly Ty hitting that runway again and teaching these youngins how it's done.
TyTy, who turns the big 4-0 this December, posed it up with fellow Sports Illustrated model Chrissy Teigen.
