Kanye West appeared on The Breakfast Club for a no-holds-barred interview that found him sparring with Charlamange Tha God, explaining why he broke free of Dame Dash, and defending his rants about President Obama and corporations.  Peep the highlights inside....

Earlier this morning, Power 105.1 aired a pre-taped interview with Kanye West that was funny, informative and intense.  Just as we expected.

While DJ Envy and Angela Yee played referee, Kanye found himself at odds with Charlamagne Tha God who took him to task for calling out President Obama, his numerous rants about corporations and questioned his move into the fashion world versus focusing on music.  We're sure Charlamagne's hilarious Donkey of the Day rants about Yeezy didn't help the situation.

The interview got off to a bumpy start when Angela Yee told Kanye about a fight that broke out in her row the night she went to the YEEZUS show.  At the 1:37 mark, Angela said a White fan used the "N" word during one of Kanye's rants (apparently the "fan" wasn't happy with what Kanye was saying on stage). So things got crazy.

As Angela told the story, Kanye smiled and said "That's interesting" before moving on.  Now......for a Black man who has "reclaimed" and re-purposed the confederate flag for his own use, so he says, you'd think this would be a perfect teaching moment for some of his beliefs......but he ignored it.  Apparently, this fight plays into the "provocative" vibe 'Ye like to give off..

The sparring with Charlamange (which lasts throughout the 40-minute interview), began around the 6:30 mark. Charlamagne created a tense moment when he called Kanye a "walking contradiction" because of the way he bashes corporations on one hand, then asks them to support his ideas.  Possibly, Charlamagne was being too logical.

One of the most interesting pieces of the interview came at the 10:23 mark when Kanye explained why be broke away from Dame Dash (who believed in him and his music) and selected Jay Z as a mentor.

"(DAME) The problem was his truth was more accurate and closer to what mine was but his technique was harsh to me as a young kid. And Jay Z was a nice guy. I have that truth that Dame has in him. We the same. Like me and Cam'ron, me and Dame, we the same. But I wanted to learn this technique that Jay got of actually being likable. When I did "Watch The Throne" I wanted to learn Jay's techniques of talking to people. I be talking to people the wrong way sometimes. (Charlamagne chimed in “Me too"). Rubbing them the wrong way. Jay Z knows how to move in a room full of vultures. As his little brother I needed to learn that technique cause I got something God wants me to give the world."

Other highlights:

At 24:58,  Kanye says he takes inspiration from God, which leads Charlamagne to ask if God told him to denounce the first Black President of The United States.  The look on Kanye's face is PRICELESS! He then explains, again, why he truly believes he and Kim are just as relevant, if not more relevant, than the Obamas.
