We promised to keep you posted on the legal battle between Tameka Raymond and Usher Raymond over custody of their sons Usher V and Naviyd. And the couple had another courtroom showdown yesterday. We use the term "showdown" loosely because Usher didn't even bother to "show up".
Since her attempt to regain custody during an emergency hearing (following the near-death drowning of Usher V) was dismissed, Tameka reportedly fired her former attorney, Angela Kinley, and showed up with two new legal eagles, Alexa Ross and Richard Robbins (shown above).
But if she was hoping to take her legal battle in a new direction, her attempt was derailed when Mr. Raymond (much like R&B Divas LA star Kelly Price) failed to show up for the mandatory hearing. We assume he was busy...
The judge was a little peeved and according to the Hip Hop Enquirer, requested Tameka and her attorneys and Usher's legal team to join him in a closed meeting in the judge's chambers. We don't know what was discussed, but we're sure Usher's team got an earful about him missing the hearing.
Another hearing has been set for the month of October and Usher is expected to appear. Unless he's "booked". Stay tuned for more R&B Divos.....
