The Dream just dropped a new track with his homie Jay-Z. Check out their "High Art" inside...
As Terius "The Dream" Nash prepares to drop his IV Play album (May 28th), he's released another hot single from the project. This one is called "High Art" and it features Mr. Carter.
The trap-inspired autotuned track is bass heavy and strictly for riding around the city this summer with lines like:
"I make love to my girl/I get high with my n-ggas"
Dream said today on a press call today that he wanted to have fun with this track and it was "mind boggling" to him that he never asked Jay for a feature. So, they teamed up for "High Art". And he says it wasn't easy to get done:
"I worked my f*ckin' ass off on this album. Getting superstars to do your album while you're doing those superstars' albums, it's hard to get people to do things. Whether it's doing a last minute trip to Paris to do something with Beyonce or catch Jay as soon as he flies back in town...
I'm the first artist in Atlanta to get Bey & Jay-Z on the same album, they've never appeared on another artist's studio album together before. That was me just paying my dues."
The Dream, who's also the new EVP of A&R at Def Jam, said at a recent listening session about this upcoming album, "Y'all are gonna wanna f*ck." Pretty much sums up most of his albums. And we're sure this one won't disappoint.
