In scary and disturbing news, Washington Commanders football player Brian Robinson was shot twice while getting carjacked in D.C. yesterday! And it happened the day after the rookie balled out in a pre-season game.  The crazy video, plus how he's doing after surgery, inside.

Running Back Brian Robinson is in stable condition after being shot during in an attempted robbery and carjacking in the 1000 block of H St. in Washington D.C.

The 23-year-old was seen on the ground at the scene being treated by EMT and police.  Now we've learned that he was actually shot in the back of the leg as well as the buttocks.  He is alive and doing well, though, but there's no timetable for his return.

His white car was also seen being towed away from the scene.

The Commanders RB was drafted in the third round of this past year's draft by Washington after having a standout college career at Bama.  He was also slated to possibly be the starting runningback this year, but now, it's all up in the air.

The Commanders have issued a few statements and coach Ron Rivera said today,"It'll just be a matter of time before he's back out here. There is no timeline, but as I said, everything was very positive."

The 3x SEC Champ, 2x National Champ and University of Alabama grad gave an update a little while ago saying surgery went well, and Bama head coach Nick Saban said today that he's reached out to him:

He was just drafted earlier this year and is currently in his rookie year, playing a pre-season game yesterday actually.

Sheesh. Life can change in an instant. There's currently no arrests but cops say they have two suspects. We're glad Brian's doing OK. Stay safe out there y'all!
