A nurse from Texas has been arrested in connection to a horrific multi-car crash in Windsor Hills that killed six people, including a pregnant woman and her 1-year-old child. The chilling details inside…

Six people are dead and eight are injured after a woman ran her Mercedes-Benz through a red light at 80mph in Windsor Hills, Los Angeles. Unfortunately, a pregnant woman and her 1-year-old son were among the people killed in the fiery crash.

Surveillance video of the fiery crash went viral online. WARNING! The clips below could be triggering to some:

Just before 2pm, a speeding driver plowed through a red light and into several cars on South La Brea Avenue and Slauson Avenue.

The driver has been identified as 37-year-old Nicole L. Linton, a registered nurse from Texas. It’s reported she will be booked after she's released from a hospital where she's being treated for injuries she sustained in the wreck.

According to the LA Times, the driver is expected to be formally charged by Los Angeles County district attorney on Monday (August 8th). A woman who claimed to be a friend of the driver said her friend was “drunk” after drinking with friends at a nearby home. She said her friend got into a fight with her boyfriend before she got into the car and caused the multi-vehicle crash. Watch a clip from her interview below:

Nicole is currently in the hospital and is cooperating with California Highway Patrol investigators. Authorities are checking her bloodwork to determine if she was under the influence at the time of the crash, according to police.

Sadly, 23-year-old AshereyRyan, who was 8 1/2 months pregnant, was killed in the accident, as well as her unborn baby, and her 1-year-old son, Alonzo.

Witness VeronicaEsquival said she was pumping gas feet away from the collision. When she heard the crash she said she covered her head for protection as debris was flying.

“All of the sudden, a baby literally flew from the middle of the intersection to the middle of the gas station and landed right on the floor in front of me,” Esquival said. “One of the workers came and saw me with the baby and took the baby out of my hands. Somebody tried to resuscitate the baby, but the baby was gone.”

Heartbreaking.

Asherey’s sister, Sha’seanaKerr, said the young mother was in the car with her boyfriend and their kids on their way to the doctor’s office for a checkup for the unborn baby.

Kerr identified Asherey’s boyfriend as a victim as well, but the county coroner has not yet released official identifications. Asherey was identified by the county coroner. The other victims names have not been released by the coroner.

Below is a video Sha'seana posted on her Instagram account about the incident:

Eight people were injured and were transported Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center for treatment. Of those injured, six were teens and one suffered major injuries.

TheLA Timesshares more details about the crash:

Officer Franco Pepi, a California Highway Patrol spokesperson, said Thursday afternoon that three adults, including a pregnant woman, and an infant were killed in the crash.

Authorities later found another person’s remains inside one of the burned vehicles, he said. That person’s gender or age weren’t known Thursday night.

The cause of the crash was not immediately known, but the CHP spokesperson said investigators determined the Mercedes-Benz was traveling “at a high rate of speed” and ran a red light while traveling southbound on La Brea.

At least six vehicles were involved in the crash, three of which were engulfed in flames, Pepi said. The others sustained moderate damage.
