Pregnancy rumors were ignited when Nicki Minaj hit the stage for her headlining performance at ESSENCE Festival in New Orleans last weekend.
Ahead of her performance in London at the Wireless Festival, the QUEEN rappers hopped on Instagram Live to chit chat with the Barbz. Halfway through her Live, the 39-year-old entertainer was asked if she and her husband, Kenneth Petty, were expecting their second child together.
“Am I pregnant?,” she asked in a British accent while making a face.“Oh, I did mean to tweet this: ‘I’m not fat, y’all, I’m pregnant,’” she said while laughing.
The comments section were riddled congratulatory messages and fans claiming they knew it.
”Oh wait,” she continued. “Did I say it wrong? I’m sorry. I think I said it wrong. I meant to say I’m not pregnant, I’m fat. But thanks, guys, for all the congratulatory messages,” she added while laughing.

Kenneth Petty - Nicki’s husband - was in court this week for sentencing after he struck a plea deal to plead guilty for failing to register as a sex offender in California. The feds wanted him to serve time in prison for his violation instead of home confinement. However, Mr. Petty got a much lighter sentence then the recommended 15-month prison sentence, 5 years of supervised release and $55,000 in retribution.
On Wednesday, Mr. Petty was sentence to one-year of home confinement, three years probation, and he was ordered to pay a fine of $55,000 for the crime. You’ll recall, Petty was convicted of first-degree attempted rape and served four years in prison. He was ordered to register as a sex offender whenever he moved. In 2019, he was arrested after he moved to California with Nicki and failed to register.
“I take full responsibility for whatever happens today,” he said during the sentencing hearing.“I’m ashamed, embarrassed and disrespected my wife’s brand. There are no excuses, I broke the law. I thank you for giving me the chance to speak, to apologize.”
It appears Nicki will be solo in London tonight.
