When rock stars become parents, it's a MAJOR deal. Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have welcomed their first baby together (and for each of them), and we're ready to call them Mom and Dad for real! Deets inside on the arrival of one of the luckiest babies alive.
Billionaire bae Rihanna and her rap star boyfriend A$AP Rocky are officially parents, and they have been for about a week now!
According to reports, the Fenty mogul & pop star gave birth to a baby boy on May 13th in L.A. The docs are just now surfacing today with all the details for the masses.
While we don't know his name just yet, we do know he was born in Los Angeles. This tracks, since the last time we saw Rihanna out and about was in Los Angeles on May 9th when she went to her fave restaurant Giorgio Baldi for Mother's Day, and she looked like she was about to give birth any second!
The fact Rih & Rocky welcomed a son may throw some people off, since Rihanna was often seen rocking pink throughout this pregnancy and even shopping for pink items and girl baby clothes. She either was trying to throw everyone off, or was maybe shopping for the baby of a friend or family member. Y'all know she loves the kids!
Fans of both have been going nuts about their coupledom and baby news, and ish hit a fever pitch when A$AP dropped his newest video, "D.M.B.", starring Rihanna as his leading lady. They got married in the video, leading people to believe, for some reason, they may have gotten married in real life. (They didn't. It's called a music video STORYLINE, folks.)
The twosome have been out and about, attached at the hip basically this entire pregnancy - hitting Fenty beauty events all over the country, A$AP's shows and fashion shows all over the world. They even headed back to Rihanna's native home of Barbados for a little babymoon about a month before she gave birth.
While they've been seemingly head over heels in love thorughout the pregnancy, it hasn't been without some hiccups.
A$AP was arrested last month when the couple was returning home from Barbados. LAPD met them at their private plane at the airport, as SWAT busted up A$AP's L.A. mansion, and immediately took him in for his alleged involvement in the shooting of his fellow A$AP Mob member.
The Los Angeles Police Department obtained video footage of the shooting in question. Although there's no confirmation on where the video comes from at the moment, it's believed to be surveillance video from nearby the scene of the crime. It's alleged if the video is clear enough, then it could be used to get the District Attorney to formally charge the Harlem rapper, who bailed out hours after his arrest. His next court date is set for August 17th, so we'll see how all that olays out.
In the meantime, we're sure Rocky is in dad heaven with his new baby boy. He even gushed about his relationship with Rihanna and how happy he is to become a father on last week's episode of "Drink Champs". Check it:
Sweet. Rihanna also gushed about unplanned mommyhood journey as she covered this month's issue of VOGUE, coincidentally (or not) the same month her son was born. She told the mag:
“Planning? I wouldn’t say planning. But certainly not planning against it. I don’t know when I ovulate or any of that type of shit. We just had fun,” she says. “And then it was just there on the test. I didn’t waste any time. I called him inside and showed him. Then I was in the doctor’s office the next morning and our journey began.”
