Nicki Minaj hopped in the passenger seat to cruise around Los Angeles with late night TV host James Corden for a fun (and funny) "Carpool Karaoke" session. Get into it inside…
Nicki Minaj had loads of fun for the return of James Corden’s "Carpool Karaoke" after a two-year hiatus due to COVID. The Head Barb and “The Late Late Show” hopped in a whip to cruise through Los Angeles to Nicki’s biggest hits that span from her early pop tracks to her new track “Blick! Blick!” with Coi Leray.
One funny moment happened when the QUEEN raptress started speaking in her British accent and James asked her to perform her best Adele impression. She slayed it.
While performing “Monster,” clips of Adele rapping the lyrics during her edition of Carpool Karaoke flashed on the screen in comparison’s to Nicki’s reenactment before bursting into an a cappella version of Adele’s “Someone Like You.”
The Young Money star had to explain to James what an “opp” - which is slang for an enemy - before they discussed James’ neighbor possibly being an “opp.” They realized the neighbor wasn’t in fact in "opp" after some funny back-and-forth.
Nicki was challenged to freestyle, which she obliged and James provided the beat…as best he could.
”I never felt that white in my life,” James said about his mediocre beat boxing skills.
On a more serious note, the “Do We Have A Problem?” rapper opened up about some personal issues, sharing she chews on ice to help manage her anxiety.
“I think when I was younger, my more natural state was to be more confident. But when you’re a woman and you’re in the public eye all the time, if you’re not careful, you can become less confident because you’re being constantly scrutinized,” she said."I just don’t think it's natural. It’s not natural for human beings to always feel like everyone’s critiquing them.”
"When I first came into the industry, I had this amazing sense of freedom because nobody gave a sh*t about what I was doing," she continued."I could get away with doing anything. And then it goes from that to the complete, complete opposite. Where it’s like, if I blink my eye wrong, they’ll have a story made up about why I blinked my eye that way.”
In a recent interview with Joe Budden, the 39-year-old rapper revealed she ended up getting butt injections because she felt self concious due to jokes Young Money honcho LilWayne used to say to her.
The birth of her son, whom she affectionately calls Papa Bear, has helped her tremendously.
“When I look at my son, I’m just magically in love,” she shared.“He makes me laugh, makes me smile, makes me happy. He’s just so cute and cuddly.”

The video has already raked in more than 1 million views and is trending at the No. 2 spot on YouTube. Nicki joked that James is using “payola” to run the view up:
