R&B singer Lucky Daye enjoyed one hell of a night when he won his first-ever Grammy Award. However, his big accomplishment was overshadowed with “deadbeat daddy” claims on social media. Get the latest inside…

Singer Lucky Daye (pictured above at the Grammys in 2020) has become a new favorite amongst R&B lovers as he emerges as the face of new age R&B, mixing old school with contemporary soul creating a modern take on rhythm and blues that fans love listening to.

During the 64th Grammy Awards, the New Orleans native won his very first Grammy, nabbing the award for Best Progressive R&B Album for his EP, A Table for Two. He has been nominated for a Grammy six times before nabbing his first one. On the red carpet, he talked to the red carpet hosts about being nominated, being “single as a song” and how he dealt with quarantine.

As he made his rounds at the Grammys, he ran into two-time Grammy winner Jazmine Sullivan and they chopped it up for a moment:

After his big win, Lucky - a former “American Idol” contestant - hit up Delilah for the afterparty where he hit the stage alongside Grammy winning duo SilkSonic and BJ The Chicago Kid to perform Soul For Real’s “Candy Rain” and BobbyBrown’s “Every Little Step.” Peep the clip below:

While most people were singing his praises and sending him congratulatory messages, some folks are holding on to claims made by his daughter’s mother, Ashley L, who starred in the BET series “College Hill Atlanta.”

Two weeks ago, Ashley posted a video that’s pinned in her highlights as “Lucky Daye” where she shared details about a conversation her daughter, KaydanceBrown, and Lucky (real name DavidBrown) had. She claims her daughter is “struggling” and needs therapy because of her relationship with her father, but claims he has been discouraging her to go. Ashley said Lucky told their daughter that “one of us have to do nothing, so you don’t grow up spoiled. So I’ll be the parent that does nothing.”

Ashley said Lucky told her daughter he grew up without a father, so she will be fine. He also called her “weak a f***” for complaining about “one little girl” because his mom raised five boys. Whew!

This isn’t the first time Ashley has called Lucky out online with deadbeat daddy accusations.

In another video, Ashley made claims that Lucky only claims their child in private. She said Lucky told her he shouldn’t have to make child support payments due to the pandemic, but she said he spent over $300,000 in the past couple of months on travel and entertainment purposes.

Folks made sure to remind people that the 36-year-old R&B singer has been called out by the mother of his child for alleged deadbeat daddy claims:

Since Ashley went public with the deadbeat daddy claims, the singer hasn’t responded. Hopefully, they can take things OFFLINE and work it out.
