Anthony Anderson's 22-year marriage is coming to an end, it seems. His wife and college sweetheart, Alvina, just filed for divorce. Again. Details inside.
"Law & Order" star Anthony Anderson is about to be facing legal issues of his own. The divorce type of legal issues. According to TMZ, Alvina Anderson filed for divorce this past Friday from her tv star husband.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ ... Alvina filed on Friday in Los Angeles and is requesting spousal support from Anthony. She also checked the box to block the court's ability to award any support to Anthony ... and also wants him to pay for her attorney fees.
Alvina's request for spousal support and attorney fees from Anthony while intentionally trying to block support to Anthony tells us there might just be some contention there. Is this a response to a cheating scandal or some other unforgivable offense? She didn't say but time will certainly tell.
It's interesting. The couple was all smiles at the Harder They Fall premiere this past December (above). They seemed to be back on track since they first separated back in 2014 - when Anthony began shooting "blackish" - and since Alvina filed for divorce in 2015. They called off the divorce and separation in 2016 and appeared to be the picture of a happy couple ever since. We guess not though, or something has drastically changed.
Anthony, who has recently moved to New York to work on the "Law & Order" reboot, met Alvina when they were both students at Howard University back in 1989. Anthony had to leave the University his Junior year for financial reasons, but they went on to get married and have two now adult children, 22-year-old Nathan and 26-year-old Kyra.
We'll keep you updated on any developments.
