Kanye West is OUT at the Grammys. Ye’s rep confirmed the rapper has been barred from performing at the Grammy Awards due to his “concerning online behavior.” After news hit that Ye was axed, his homie The Game came to his defense. Get it all inside…

Welp. Kanye West will NOT be hitting the stage at the Grammys next month.

The Chi-town rapper’s rep has confirmed that Ye has “unfortunately” been barred from performing at the 64th GRAMMY Awards scheduled to go down Sunday, April 3rd, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The reason? Well, if you’ve been following Ye on social media lately, you already know why. Along with harassing his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and her boyfriend Pete Davidson, Ye has been issuing threats against comedian D.L. Hughley and he hurling racial slurs ("koon") at TV host Trevor Noah.

Ye’s rep said the DONDA rapper - who has been nominated for five Grammy awards - is prohibited from performing at the show due to his “concerning online behavior.” It seems a Grammy producer called up Ye’s team Friday to inform them of the change.

Sources close to Ye told The Blast his team “isn’t surprised” by the decision, and it only further proves the Grammy Awards are an outdated and an unimportant part of music culture and perceived success. By the way, DONDA was nominated for Album of the Year.

The Blast reports:

We’re told the decision was made partially because Trevor Noah is hosting the night’s festivities and there is worry about the two men’s interaction during the show. As we reported, Kanye responded to Noah after he addressed the rapper’s split from ex-wife Kim Kardashian. “I’ll be honest with you — what I see from the situation is a woman who wants to live her life without being harassed by an ex-boyfriend or an ex-husband or an ex-anything,” Noah said.

The rapper’s name wasn’t originally mentioned in the first list of performers, however, he may have been a planned or “surprise” performer.

The Game - Ye’s homie & “Eazy” collaborator - took to Instagram to defend Ye after he found out about his performance being yanked from the show:

”Time & time again they show us that they only want to STEAL the culture, not allow you to ever be their equals," the wose coast rapper wrote. "In a more than obvious move for reasons of minuscule actions…. The Grammys have at the last minute decided to pull @kanyewest from performing on the show as if we didn’t know it was coming,” he wrote. “Could be because @trevornoah is hosting and there was a conversation held amongst his team & the academy that led to the decision or because Ye’s account was suspended just days ago for reasons unknown especially in a world where all the negativities of the world can be found on the same app with no repercussions or suspensions…. We’ll just say it’s all of the above & a continuous disrespect for us & all that we have brought to the table in entertainment, media & sports over the last 100 years especially.”

He continued, “Speak your mind in this country for yourself, family or your people & you’re ostracized immediately & if you push them hard enough they will stop at no ends to try and put an end to you as a whole…. I for one, have never been scared to speak my mind even understanding what the consequences may be. I can’t sleep at night knowing I was quiet about issues burning holes in my heart or narratives incorrectly pushed by the mass agenda to create a mind set that the person at hand is krazy or has issues internally that are beyond repair. I say all this to say, I’M WOKE….. & while I am.. lemme remind you that Colin Kapernick still isn’t allowed in the NFL, lynching just became a federal hate crime in 2022 & you can now not be discriminated from employment because of the way you decide to wear your hair…. GEEZ thank you massa for allowing us to slowly progress as a race 100 years at a time after all that was STOLEN from us. I’m sure I’ll be the next account suspended for speaking freely on an app created for us to equally share as humans lol. Hella shit be a joke everywhere you turn these days… but let’s keep playing their game until one day somebody WAKES us ALL the f%#! up!”

A few days ago, Meta (parent company of IG & Facebook) suspended Ye’s account for 24 hours for violating the company’s policies on hate speech, harassment and bullying. If further violations happen, a spokesperson for Meta said they’ll take additional steps.

As of right now, all of Kanye’s posts have been deleted from his account.
